Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

It’s me again.
Re: yesterday’s post. If you decide to try something new that you might enjoy, let us know! The more we fill our lives with things that bring us joy, the less we will need our extra food!
But, I feel that enough of our group is struggling with the new MFP (especially as the programmers work to fix some of the bugs.)
One of the mantras I’ve adopted over the past 6 years of weight loss & maintenance is “Everything Changes.” I found that helpful.
But then I came across “Breathing in, all is great!” “Breathing out, letting go of all I might wish were different.”
Now this one is MAGIC!
Please share with the group ways in which you handle things you wish weren’t changing? Again, the more we can handle the vagaries of life with less stress, the healthier we will be.
With the MFP changes, I got a little annoyed re: the inability to quote a previous quote & add the next day’s info.
But then I let it go.
MFP will hear from many of us. They’ll either change it - or they’ll let us know why (likely the provider they work with.)
Meanwhile, we’re alive on a rare planet that supports our lives in the midst of 100’s of billions of solar systems.
Perspective-taking is something I use all the time to deal with surprises, disappointments, and changes.
We beat ALL the odds just by being born!!
All My Best,
Maddie 🌸

Thank you Maddie for your amazing posts during this time!
As long as I can find this group, open the daily thread, and type in Yes and No, there is still no better place or group of people to help navigate this crazy, endlessly meandering health journey I am STILL undertaking! Sure, I'm navigating under water in a submarine at this point, but I'm still going!
Fire torpedoes!

I’ll admit, the faux cross stitch app got my attention too. Who mentioned that yesterday?
This new format definitely falls in the “if it’s not broke…” category, but we’ll get used to it and eventually it will be normal. I just looked up from my iPad, this is my view, I took a deep breath, all is well.

I mentioned the CrossStitch World app. Mine is android from the Google Play store, but it may well be on other formats like apple and pc as well.
To find out more, search Facebook for "Cross-Stitch World Community". I think you can get the app direct from that page as well.
(I'm not a member as I don't Share When Finished (at this point) ... but you will be able to see what it is like and some of the available projects. They are bundled into theme-groupings of 10 projects each. LOADS of variety. And new packs coming out all the time. Something or other always goes on sale on weekends.)
There are other crossstitch apps as well. This happens to be the one that I use.

I’ll be honest I don’t handle change well. I noticed I withdraw when things begin to feel overwhelming and difficult. Awareness is the first step. As far as things like MFP—or when things don’t go my way, I try to rationalize/understand the why and then figure out what I can control/do to get what I need. Actually I welcome the MFP change since I knew the previous format was kinda antiquated and clunky. I pray the growing pains will give a newer, better product. So I guess placing Hope in the future helps me endure change? 🤷🏾♀️
Well I’m posting my 3 Yes now sense I suck at doing it at the end of the day. Plan to run for 30 mins for C25k Week 9 Day 1) (Operation: Implementation Intention 🦸🏾♀️)

another pass day for me5

I just ate a bunch of stupid crap.
Oh wow...just realized BBCode is back on, along with the old text entry stuff.
Did I do something wrong by eating all that stupid crap and break the space-time continuum and am now stuck between the old MFP and some strange, ugly new MFP?
I need another pass today, I guess. I'll see what things look like again tomorrow.7 -

@WhatMeRunning ... evidently they convinced their "forum provider" to return the BBCode to address some of the complaints with white space, spacing, etc. But it is only "for now" so who knows how long it will remain.3

Coping with change? Hmm, this is something I’ve had to do a lot – ever since early childhood. I concentrate on looking forward, don’t dwell on the past. Look for the positives.
“Breathing in, all is great!” “Breathing out, letting go of all I might wish were different.”
I shall practice that one.
I think I need to investigate this cross stitch app – sounds interesting.
They've brought back the preview button!5 -

MFP are listening. BBCodes are back, and they have moved the editing buttons back to the top of the new post window.
There is now a save draft button and preview is back.
I spent an hour or two checking out the new features and they seem fine. We need to keep letting the boffins know how we feel, and they may change other things.
