I'm down 1 lb this week. However interesting journey this week. I was inching down this week then lost 7 lbs in one day probably do to taking a Lasix one day I think? I over ate for Thankgiving but a very light breakfast yesterday and no supper so thus 1 lb loss for the week.

I'm beginning to get a mental handle back on tackling the issue. I've bassically had a run away attitude with eating and it doesn't take long to do a lot of damage. Good news is I'm back to Tracking and that is at least 75% of my battle.

    On to another week.

    Yo . . .

Sorry - I can’t reply on this thread without the “yo” to start me off.

Derrick - reading your post above made me think about Peter Lynch of Fidelity. Among his well-known aphorisms was “know what you own, and know why you own it.” Your comment on tracking made me think of a weight loss corollary, which might be “know what you’re eating - and know why you’re eating it.” Tracking is good, but if you can get to “why?” Priceless.

I’m somewhere between content and happy on my journey back to goal. I gained 8.2 the prior week on a four day trip to Texas for my brother-in-law's celebration of life. This week, as expected, I lost 4.2 of that. That’s based on a morning weigh-in yesterday rather my usual evening slot, but since I weighed the same this morning after Thanksgiving yesterday, I’m pretty comfortable that it's representative of actual progress.

I did spend 38 points on my Thanksgiving meal yesterday against a daily points allowance of 23, but that was restrained - no potatoes, no dessert, etc. Left the restaurant feeling both full and satisfied.
