Hi, I am Masoumeh, 34, from Netherlands, I have to lose weight(15kg) but my only goal at the moment is to learn to be committed to daily excercise and healthy eating, as I am a serial quiter.4

Welcome to all the newbies. My biggest advice is just keep showing up. Don’t get hung up on “more than 3 pass days” so I failed and I quit mentality. I joined UAC in January and have only been in the winners circle twice. BUT - I’ve lost about 20 pounds and KEPT it off. I want to lose at least 20 more and honestly I’ve been a bit discouraged lately. But then I remind myself how this is the first time in at least a decade when I’ve been below 200 lbs and stayed there! That really is huge for me. You’ll find so much support in this group and learn valuable information.

Hello. I'm Maryann. This will be my 12th month with UAC. The last 5-6 months haven't been stellar for me progress wise, and I'm hoping to turn that around. I can't seem to notice all my typos before I hit post, so 9/10 times you'll see my posts edited. Sometimes I don't post much, other times I post too much... I think it all balances out in the end.5

Hi everyone — my name is Julie, I live in Canada on the cold, cold prairies 🥶❄️❄️❄️, and December will be my fifth month on UAC. This challenge has motivated me to show up for myself every day, and as a result, build some really good habits. I have had so much support and encouragement here and am grateful to everyone.
I am down 35 pounds as of my last monthly weigh in. Lots of journey left for me, but I feel now that I have a good starting foundation. More importantly, I better understand how and why to pre-track food, especially to support my effort to keep fibre and protein grams high (and that struggle, for me, is real 😳). Exercise can be a struggle at times for me in the colder months. My preference would be to be walking outdoors, swimming, or water jogging. I think I live in the wrong climate 🤔
My biggest personal learning in the past few months is around probing my brain to determine whether I am hungry, thirsty, bored, lonely, or something else? Because if it isn’t hunger, food isn’t the answer. 💡
Looking forward to December with you all.
Julie

Hi I am Jen. This is my 6th month of UAC. If November is any foreshadowing of what December is going to be like, I should probably just join in January! However, I told myself December is the month I need to be in UAC to help me stay on track. I am actually finished with Christmas shopping and waiting for the deliveries, and just finished decorating, so I hope that will ease the stress.
