Survive the holidays! What a great way to put that! We have an endless stream of birthday this month in addition to the regular holidays, so my goal is 6 poverty days per week and 1 maintenance day per week and keep up the running and weights and all the things...also doing a kitchen renovation, but hoping to have that done before christmas!!!

12/2: 147.2 - forgot to actually weigh so this was an estimate of what I believed my weight to be
12/3: 147.0 - weighed myself this morning and I was pretty dead on!

    BMI 20.1

It was very motivating to keep my weight down when I knew I would be in a bikini all day every day. Since my beach vacation has been over, I have been hovering at around a BMI of 20.2. I am still healthy, strong, and mobile, which is essentially what is important. I also surprisingly think that I still look good at this weight (in clothes). I feel it is time to revisit my goals and “whys”:
*Life is easier when I am not investing time/energy into what I look like.
*Exercise is easier when I weigh less.
*I do not have knee pain when I weigh less.
*I will go on vacation again, and I will look fantastic doing so.

    EVALUATION OF NOVEMBER GOALS
    1. Eat only when hungry, stop when satisfied. This probably should be 100%, but it was more around 80%.
    2. Include 3-days of strength training weekly. Include strength, mobility, and/or cardio another 2-days. Yes, except when ill.
    3. Report back to this group in December. Yes!

    DECEMBER GOALS:
    1. Continue with November goals.
    2. Enjoy the season in moderation.
    3. Report back here in January.

    Dec 6 - 128.5

Late to the Dec party but here I am! Glad to be here but not terribly pleased about my starting weight. I've been overdoing my portions just a bit, snacking a little and not fitting as much fitness into my schedule. Life and work have just been getting in the way.

And now December will be tough with holidays. So.....
    PLAN OF ATTACK:
    - keep to moderate portions and healthy decisions (alcohol 1 x week)
    - Walk the dog every day
    - bootcamp/soccer/run 4 x week
    - once per week weight sessions to get into the habit (use the darn medicine ball I bought and have barely used)

currently down 3.4 lbs this month...a big chunk of which is Lucifer's Waterfall arriving and all that bloating and ickyness finally going away...it's still nice to see...contemplating a final goal of under 140...we'll see how it goes as I get closer...currently 156.6 so, long ways to go

    Dec 12 - 128.7?

I foolishly made my special delicious holiday sweet n salty mixed nuts early this year. (4 ingredients: maple syrup, olive oil, salt and nuts - all good for you, right?!). I need to package it up and give them away, pronto. They are currently sitting in a massive bowl on my counter and the snacking is killing any chance if me staying within my daily logs.

Tis the season! Hope you are all well! What's your worst pitfall this time of year?

Hi @Madds1231 and welcome! Glad to see new and old people popping in and out. I don't always post but I like checking in. Even seeing others' random thoughts is motivating!

It is getting cold and icy here so i need motivation to get outside for walks and runs. Maybe new winter running gear including shoes (warmer, with grip?) would do the trick.... a present to myself sounds right.
    Keep at it ladies!

Going in the wrong direction weight wise but not feeling terrible about it. It's all manageable, explicable and reversible! Need to move a bit more, that's all.

    That's a solid drop @wunderkindking! Nice one.

Exactly why I went into maintenance for the holidays! Just holding steady and being able to indulge in the goodies (within reason)!

Thanks @JBanx256! Me and my kid did these! She is an amazing baker and while we clash over all sorts of things (ah, teenagers...) we do have a love of baking and sports in common. A healthy combo. 😀

But I am feeling sick, potentially with COVID, which explains my weight drop despite making a mega Christmas dinner yesterday and multiple cookies available. 4 out of 5 of us are down with fever, cough, aches (thankfully nothing critical) and so our Christmas guests stayed away and dinner was a quiet affair. We will be eating turkey leftovers until May!

Right now my muscles hurt just climbing stairs, so I'm going to rest and enjoy hunkering down for 10 days of isolation with my favourite people - puzzles, movies and lots of warm honey drinks. Happy holidays to you all!

Feeling much better, although not doing much beyond easy walks and cleaning the house. Should probably get my butt in gear soon but I've been enjoying the downtime. Still don't know if it was covid or the flu so will get tested.

I hope everyone is doing well!
