Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?

No time like the present. There is a LOT of extra damage to be done by waiting until ... tomorrow... Monday, Jan 1.... etc. Procrastination is the road to failure.

Let’s get the Saturday Show on the road.
I used to be undecided ….
…. but now, I’m not so sure. 🤔

@SummerSkier I love the opener! And isn't that the truth!? Thanks so much for all you do to help keep this group going. I appreciate you.6
-
@SummerSkier - sad, funny, and true. I wonder how much weight I’ve gained saying “tomorrow I’ll start a diet but tonight I’m going to sit here and eat this gallon of ice cream.”6
-
Brutal truth @SummerSkier ✅ The worst, for me, has been when I try to fool myself into believing I am actually going to do something. 😳 Do. Or don’t. But decide, because the limbo isn’t enjoyable (to me) and is a waste of my energy.6

I have kicked myself 1 million times for the above procrastination over time. Esp when I would have gained 25 pounds and said to myself "why could I not have stopped at 5 or even 10" But sometimes unfortunately the I don't give a c#%p wins. But maybe just maybe a few times it doesn't and that's a start.6 -

Pass day #2 today. I'm with my daughter and grandchildren. We went to the theatre and then to dinner. Lunch and dinner were too difficult to track. We had a good day and I'm staying overnight, so tomorrow might be a pass as well!5

December is turning into a slippery slope for me. I need to reign it in. I over did it with a cheese board, homemade pies and wine at a friends house by around 100 calories.
Right after the slivers of pie (two flavours) I felt so nauseous I had to lie down. I don’t do well with sweet stuff and it seems the covid booster has been making me particularly susceptible to nausea more so than usual.
I hate feeling sick so I need to find a workable strategy to get me through the rest of December.

Exercise: lots and lots of exergame steps.
Logged: All logged
In Range: even had enough for an evening snack (without drawing on any exercise calories
Re-synced my fitbit app. Waiting to see how much exercise credit it decides to let me keep after midnight (difference between ci from food log and co-for-24-hrs, and what that turns into for exercise credits) The fitbit settings have been updated, so final credit may vary (downward) from current "projected total".
Also waiting to see if fitbit STAYS synced ..... if if can stay synced overnight, I will at least know how many calories to properly credit these days, even if I have to do them separately, and then work out an average.

Even if it IS a pass day .... did you manage to do ANY of the three? Be sure to proudly claim credit for at least that! And you ARE acting like a CHAMPION by continuing to show up and reporting!!2 -
Tracked - Yes
Within Calories - Yes
Exercise - No, I didn't want to push myself with activity since I'm still not feeling 100% after Thursday's pfizer booster. Happy that I'm feeling better than yesterday and perhaps by tomorrow I'll feel pretty much back to normal. Want to be able to meet my running partner Monday for a run so want to give my body plenty of time to rest and recover from my reaction to the shot.

Why do we buy into stuffing ourselves with rich, calorie-laden food which makes us feel like total c#@p? (I include myself in this group)
Festive Temptation
(19/12/2021)
Big business rubs it’s hands with glee
at our susceptibility.
They wheedle, tempt us with their wares,
and clever advertising snares.
Don’t take their bait! Be strong! Resist!
From those festive treats, Desist!
Big business’s profit is our loss!
Don’t clog your innards with their dross!
Use moderation with festive food.
A LITTLE of what you fancy does you good.

And today's going to be another one as we head off to a Christmas Brunch.
@SummerSkier I like your opener. I have been thinking about this month like when I am procrastinating from doing work. Like @jamcnewman said, being in limbo is the worst. Sometimes I just need to give myself a stern talking to from procrastination and get back to work. But sometimes I need to recognize that my brain is telling me I really need a break - and actually take that break and enjoy that break and then return to work refreshed. The worst is when I can't tell which is it is, and I keep sternly talking to myself while continuing to procrastinate and I don't get work done or rest done and wind up feeling terrible about myself and not rested at all.
I think in terms of weight loss this month, I do need to just embrace the procrastination, to a limited extent, and enjoy the days off.
Today is one of those days off. I have already planned out my food for breakfast (at 7), lunch (at 11), and dinner (at 5:30). We're also having a Christmas Brunch at 2pm, which is pretty close to my usual afternoon snack time (3pm), but not a mealtime at all. I am just going to embrace the pass day and enjoy having nibbles of what I want to nibble. I've planned my meals as normal (a little on the light side) because I think that will set me up for best success of remembering I am there to enjoy seeing people and not for the food. Also that the food will make me sick if I eat too much of it. But I will definitely be over for the day - but I am going to enjoy it and not feel bad about it, because that is what works for me.2 -
