Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?

Yesterday was Winter Solstice and for those of us who live in a northern climate — a day for celebration! The days will now start to get longer again, and we look forward.
Looking forward. Today, I thought I’d share some quotes that help me.

@jamcnewman I love these Julie!!! Thanks so much for posting such encouragement!!!
My fav is the one that says "It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop!"
I'm also sooo glad that the days will now begin to get longer!! Woohoo! Lol.5 -

My crystal ball says that in addition to all the chocolate and tea I have been gifted my niece has made a HUGE batch of onion cookies which I will receive . LOL. I think I am going to bring the chocolate and tea over to exchange with her and her family...
Thank you for the memes Julie!
Hope everyone can hang in for the rest of the month. Not too much longer....

@jamcnewman thank you! I like the one that says
"Don't look back, you're going that way"
This is my prayer everyday. "Please, Lord help me to always remember that there is no eye on the back of my head for a purpose. So that I will not be distracted from my destination in life"9 -

Busy, busy days. When did Christmas get so complicated? Honestly, I love the season, and the days and weeks leading up to Christmas, but I'll be glad when it's all over. The traffic is endless, the drivers are insane, the "treats" and "goodies" are out of control, the stores are all packed (including the grocery)! It's just crazy! Lol.

Exercise:~35 minutes (ALL exergame) as the only way to close my fitbit 6000+ steps per day ring. I haven't decided whether to be glad or sorry that I only have the current plus one more title available in my current Regency Romance series available (then will have to wait 3+ months for the last 2
) I can't read e-text and faux cross stitch or do my exergame at the same time like I can with an audio-book
Logged:everything

We are on the road most of the day tomorrow, so I anticipate a low activity day.

I wasn’t able to exercise yesterday because we were travelling. Apart from the two hours in the car I never stopped moving from 7am until 8pm. I ate reasonably well with the options I had.
Breakfast - protein smoothie with strawberries and tsp of chocolate powder 😋
Lunch - ham & cheese bap. Gave the buttered bap to my son so I only ate the ham and roughly 30g of cheese.
Dinner - homemade bolognese (my husbands recipe so I know how to portion it). 1/2 c plus 1/2c cooked pasta. I had dinner quite early with my son so after he went to bed I joined the adults while they had their dinner but I only had 1 slice of garlic bread and a salad.
I managed to avoid all the snacks, crisps, chocolates etc… but i did have wine!
I don’t think I overate but I only loosely tracked.

Exercise: 45 minutes Pelotob, 44 minutes walk

Within goal: you bet, planned maintenance day and stuck to that
Pass days used - 1/3
I'm flipping between deficit and maintenance days as the month goes along and so far that's working well. The only thing it requires is for me to set the intention of which it's going to be beforehand. I am strict with myself on what the reasons are for choosing maintenance over deficit as I'd set a goal to enter 2022 in the 180s and so far I'm on track. The tough two days are ahead but I've got my two pass days left so things are feeling good from that perspective.4 -

Exercise - 1.5 hours walking with a friend and walking for work - some of it more like hiking
Tracking - Planned the day, adjusted the plan as necessary to allow for eating some exercise calories because I was super hungry after being out in the cold - but at least I had exercised so had some to eat
Calories - Under
@jamcnewman thanks for the words of inspiration. The solstice does give me a feeling of hope. And slow and steady is my way!3 -
