Kathy - How do you like the Hokas sneakers? I usually buy Brooks because I have a very high arch. But I can't seem to find them in wide right now. Inventory levels are so darn low. Curious about your experience. Maybe I ought to try them

Karen I haven’t received them yet. Hope to have them this week. Shelley told me about them last year and I kept putting off ordering them because of the price. She raves about them. Also a nurse at the hospital had them on. I asked her and she said she doesn’t wear anything else to work. I will give you my review hopefully next week. Check out their website.

Ladies, I received my Hokas. I ordered the Clifton 8. I like the sole which is not quite as thick as the Bondi 7. I didn’t order the wide width as my feet shrank when I lost weight. Can’t wait to wear them for my next workout. I have a feeling I’m going to want another pair in a different color.

Treadmill - 45 minutes and Lower body strength training day - 30 minutes.
I’m convinced the machines at PF have made a difference this month. I started the month with the machines set at 15 pounds as my body had to get use to them again. I had been away over a year because of Covid. By the end of this month I was back to 30 pounds on most machines and 40 pounds on a couple. I’m working out 5 days and taking weekends off. My routine is full body workout on Monday. And alternate upper body and lower body for the rest of the week. I do abs everyday along with cardio…treadmill daily and elliptical at least twice a week.
As long as it works I will stick to this routine. It’s also good for me mentally and a outlet for the every day stress of being a caregiver. Feeling optimistic that I reached my goal or very close for January.

I did NOTHING today!! Total Rest Day!
The kids got to go to the snow this weekend. We are keeping Bean for them. You can tell he misses his humans. Might take him on a walk tomorrow. Got to think about it more. He is a "puller." I made that up!! He investigates everything and pulls on the leash. We'll see.

Ok I have been a bum this last week. Trying to walk and keep up with everything. Sitting in court all week. Trial ends Tuesday. Fingers crossed. Been doing Kelly Coffey Mayer. There are so many choices.
Hokas are great. They come in wides also. But if yours don't fit just right send them back. They have many types. I recommend finding a store though that sales them. When you put the right pair on you will know. I just bought a second pair for work.
Kathy and Chris I feel your pain. Remember when I broke my silly foot and still went to Zumba class? Crazy.

Donna great to have you. So you have some physical limitations. And love to be as good as you can. I like to push myself also. How about Pilates. I will think on it some. Congratulations on the downward trend. Donna I am glad you read the some of our posts. This group goes back a few years. Not all of it on this group. We are sister's. I retire in 4 years and plan on visiting them.
Today I worked out with a friend. I had her rate the KCM that we did. She gave it an F-. Lmao! She did put sweated in less than 15 minutes and good planks. We then did a 20 minute stretch from the same DVD. She gave it an A. We had a great time and an even better workout. Then walked the dogs. Today was beautiful. Sunny and 50 with almost no wind.
I still have not ordered my new FitBit. On my to-do list for tomorrow.

Paula I need to weigh my food also. I tried just getting on the scale before meals. Then weighing again and subtracting the difference. Whatever am I doing wrong?
Karen elliptical is supposed to be easy on the knees, what say you?

Kathy!!!! How did you know what I did yesterday? OMG! I cannot tell you guys what I did...it was just terrible! I will most likely pay for it today during my trips to the Ladies Room.
That plus the fact I sat on my tush all day reading the first "Reacher" book that came out because the new series comes out this coming Friday on TV!! The new Jack Reacher looks like Jack Reacher and NOT Tom Cruse standing on a stool! I am so excited! I love all Lee Child's books. Okay, I'm done...
Going to walk at 12:30 this afternoon. Going to try and go up the BIG HILL.

One of my pet peeves is having Tom Cruise play Jack Reacher. When the book's based on Reacher being extremely normal and unimpressive-looking, it ruins his unique character to cast a pretty boy.
Need to see in films that ordinary people can be extraordinary too. So we can learn to see everyone as special, and that looks don't matter. We've got a long way to go.And since I'm on a roll, I didn't like it when Cruise was cast as Lestat either. But at least Lestat was supposed to be a pretty boy, and Cruise actually is a good actor, so that worked.----
But Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? Really!!!!! Ruin my all-time favorite unique smartass comic book character with a stupid hollywood stereotype???
Measured calories yesterday. Saved my skin. Had a whiskey, but fit it into daily limits by avoiding 2.1M evening calories. It took a real conscious effort. Many many times I thought "maybe I'll have just a little snack." But stopped with "Oh yeah, no calories left."
Lost four pounds. It's probably that initial water weight after switching from gaining to losing. But a good indicator, and so promising.all

I loved Lestat. I so need a new series to read.
I am soooo sore today. I literally just want to sit on my butt and eat cookies. I only had 2 and then some cantaloupe. I did manage to do all the water changes and clean 2 algae scrubbers. The baby urchin has covered itself in algae. Nope, can't see you little guy! Did I mention everything hurts?

Just finished REACHER!! Can not wait until Friday! Totally forgot the first book. Now, let's see how the did taking it from a 447 page book to 120 page screenplay. Pretty hard to do. I played that game for a while when the kids were little. Tried to see if I could get the script for the TV series but haven't been able to, yet. That would be sooo cool!! I'll keep trying.
