Your fellow members are a fantastic resource. There is always someone willing to answer any questions you may have. However, did you know that there are other resources within the UAC? They are on the group page under ANNOUNCEMENTS- What’s on your mind today? - Our general chat thread.
- Introductions - This is where you can tell us a little about yourself
- Rules - an explanation of how UAC works
- FAQ’s - First port of call for new members, and if you have a query.

Thanks for promoting all those ways to interact. I see them, but have never taken the time to use them. Maybe using these sections can help create closer connections and with attrition?

I workout doing Piyo on Wed. Just got to work on water intake and making sure I track my meals. I’ll update Thursday morning.
I’ll copy and paste my tracker on March 3rd.

Pass day 1/3
Tomorrow I go to Passau – a city on 3 rivers (in Lower Bavaria, Germany), the most beautiful city in the world (for me). It is the birthplace of my husband and there he found his rest. It is the first time I go there after the funeral. It is more than 600 km from where I live and 6 hours travel with a train. I will stay at our friend’s place, wonderful people. I am travelling back on March 9. I am not going to track, but I know that I am not in danger. They live very healthy and they are very active. She is a great cook. In any case I will try to check in every day. When I am back, I really want to stop this downward trend. I want to get rid of these 7 kg I gained in last 4 month. My DH was so proud of me and I don’t want to disappoint him.

but I had some difficulty. I became so hungry and dizzy that I couldnt feel legs. I dont understand why because Im eating the recommended amount. Ive been really hungry for the past few days but I thought I could push through. I was really faint and it took about an hour to feel ok again.
edit-- I just did a little research and It turns out a new medication I'm on has a surprisingly strong effect on insulin. Im glad I learned that now!I'll be more careful. I think a key take away is always listen to your body even if your mind is stubbornly set on getting results quickly.11 -

Exercise: Yes. Cycled 16km to gym (average 16kph which isn't great but it was rush hour traffic and it was raining) Watt Bike: 6x15 second sprints on the minute with max output 818 watts, 3x6 single leg straight leg deadlift with 40kg followed by leg curl with 25kg to failure. And that is when the back spasm started so we switched to 10 mins on the elliptical and some very gentle stretches to keep the back moving. Also walked 11000 steps.
Calories and tracking: no. Wheels totally came off the wagon and I need to take a pass day today.8 -

Tracking – yes. I took my own breakfast, lunch was salad and I was home for my evening meal.
Calories – yes, within limits.
Congratulations to all the Winners and Champions, and Welcome to all the newcomers.
And welcome back to all the regulars, lets make March Marvellous!

Yes x 3. My exercise for today is just strength training but I am counting it. The goal is to get that to be a more natural activity for me; if I did the video consecutively it would only be just under 13 minutes of mindful exercise. In the past, I would substitute a 20 minute walk rather than do the strength training. So until I get comfortable with doing both, the strength training will be considered my daily exercise. I plan to do it every 2nd day. I realize the strength training is a bit shy of the 20 minutes UAC goal but it took me all of my lunch hour to do them! Plus, I am an insomniac who works full time so my energy is limited.7

Today's exercise was a morning walk.
Today was a planned pass day for my wife's birthday. I actually logged items which I had when eating out and seems I'm within my allowance, so I guess it's not a pass day after all.10 -

Welcome new and old members.
Welcome March, 2022!
I can't believe that we are already in the third month of the year! Where did the time go?
The UAC challenge has only 3 rules.- Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
- Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
- Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
At first glance, they look very simple. From my experience these rules are applicable to anyone at any stage of this health journey (I called it "health journey" not "diet"). Whether you are just beginning this health journey, advanced in this process or just maintaining (BTW, I have been maintenance for some years).
I have come to realized that these are the only things that nobody in this life will do for me. Nobody can eat for me/you, exercise for me/you or track what I/you eat, lick or bite in this world. This is all about me/you, my/your health, and my usefulness to those around me! If I don't take care of my health then I cannot take care of anybody. (You are always advised to put on your mask when there is low pressure in the plane before helping your child/anybody, else both of you will/may die )
These are the facts I like to remind myself every month.
Does it mean that I will not fail? I have learned to forgive myself and give myself the grace I will readily give others. All modern inventions we are enjoying today were created and designed many times. In failing you learn what will not work and what works. Failure gives me opportunity to know myself.
No, it is not about being perfect! But it about forming a habit. A habit that will bless me and move me forward in life, it will also bless those around me. Everyone fails at a time in their life.
Therefore, as you join us in this month's UAC, you do not have to be perfect. We are not There is nothing you are going through that no one in this group has not experienced. You are not the only one out there! This is a very supportive group. We will support you as you learn these habits. Come by everyday, read encouraging, funny, and realistic posts, and post something.
If you have at most 3 pass days (pass day is a day where you could not say "Yes" to any of these 3 rules). Then you are in Winner's circle.
If you have more than 3 pass days and you are here everyday, you are in the Champion's circle. If you have more than 3 pass days please do not disappear. We are all in this together
I like reading about animals. The Sea Otters are very interesting. As big as these animals are they have a secret that we can learn and apply here.
Do you know that "Otter groups are called rafts, and the animals famously hold hands to keep from drifting apart."

Let's hold unto one another like the Sea Otters. Let's hold each other hands through this month! We need you7 -

Met with dietitian today and we have a game plan for the next two weeks to help with constipation. We discussed that I am thinking and obsessing about this. At this point I am not miserable but I do want to be regular. I am adding more insoluble fiber, and prune juice.6 -
