Noom Report - Week Three

The honeymoon is over. I did not have as successful a week as I would have hoped. I gave in to some old habits and impulses. Luckily, I am only up 1 pound (as of this writing) for the week, with tomorrow being what I count as my official weigh-in day. (Part of NOOM is to weigh in each day.)
The good news is that, I have been logging steadily and pretty honestly, so I am aware of when and where I had my problems. The patterns emerge.
My favorite lesson this week was about eating mindfully. Specifically, how to savor and be aware of what I eat. And, as a result, I've made a decision to put on music for my evening meal and not watch tv - just eat. When I am done, and I have cleaned up, I can do whatever I need to do.

That sounds like a very good plan. I might try that myself. I rewound the lessons to the beginning a while back and was just listening to that lesson as well. My Noom subscription (8 months) ends next week, but I think I have picked up enough from the psychology of the lessons to help me going forward. The biggest thing for me is not dropping the habits of weighing and tracking.
Also, the lessons will be read-only pretty soon. It seems like they put a lot of effort into the lessons up to Noom 203 and then you can no longer listen to the lessons as an option. Just an FYI because it catches a lot of people by surprise that they can't listen to the lessons while they drive.

Yes to listening to calming music while eating. My microbiome likes it too and I seldom have any digestive issues.0
