Here come the excuses: we've had a bereavement in the family today and my back spasm is still very present. So Ben and Jerry have been my coping mechanism.
I may drop out of the challenge all together but we will see how tomorrow morning goes. Either way, good luck to everyone
@Cowphilosopher I'm so sorry to hear about your loss..... I will also keep you and your family in my prayers. I hope you'll stay with us and not drop out.

@cowphilosopher, I am sorry for you loss. That list of champions today is people who stayed through February and kept posting even though they exceeded their pass days. That is greatly respected here and I hear it really helps with weight loss.

March 3:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? No.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Pass Days Used: 1/3
I worked both jobs today and am counting giving massages as my exercise today.
I did stay pretty close to my calorie budget, but I did go over way on my carb limit.... so I'm calling this a NO today for that reason.

@Cowphilosopher sorry for your loss💗. I lost a loved one and had an injury in short succession in 2021. One thing I could have done better was stick with the basics of my routine through that initial grieving and healing process and sat with those uncomfortable feelings. Instead I turned to food/alcohol to try to alter my emotions and gained 10lbs of my 15lb progress back in just 3 months. It took me 3 months to understand I wasn't helping myself heal by neglecting my health (physical and mental) and goals. I'm still healing and each person's grieving process looks different; I just thought I might share about mine. We are here to support you whatever you choose as the right thing for you.💗7 -

If you're thinking of dropping out because you're using your pass days up in a hurry, I encourage you to rethink that. I have had *maybe* 3 NON-pass days a month for since I joined this group. Don't give up.
If, on the other hand, you're thinking of dropping out due to the things going on in your life right now, you have to do what is best for you, your mental health, and your peace of mind. We'll be here for you when you decide to come back.

Today's exercise was two 60 minute walks.
@Cowphilosopher I am so sorry to hear about the loss. Also sorry about the back and other frustrations. I do hope you find the inspiration either within the difficulties, or perhaps through them, to continue on.
I personally found the experience alone pushing myself to do hard things I never thought possible very therapeutic, even through difficult times. It even helped me to endure difficulties in new ways. It is daunting, yes. And hard. It is enduring in spite of all that both life and your body throw at you that you first reach that finish line, but what many find life altering is not that finish, but the endurance to get there. That gives you something that stays with you for life. Once you know you can do that, other things are not necessarily "easier", please don't expect that. You just can endure it with a little more grit because you know that you can find a way to endure some serious hardship.
I hope you find all of the peace you need, whether you stop or continue. You know you and what is best for you right now, none of us do.
God bless.5 -
