I lost weight by diet alone. Since the end of August 2021, by eating strict Keto (5% carbs) I've lost almost 50 pounds. I just recently started line dancing for cardio and while I know it's doing my body good, it's stalled my weight loss. But I'm low enough now, that it's okay. I still have about 15 pounds to go, and right now, I'm basically maintaining. I'm hoping to see a loss soon though.2

I walk and do yoga and pilates classes 4-5 times a week, not for weight loss but for stretching and flexibility and maintaining strength as I get old, lol. But the best advice is to do whatever you like to do and have time and interest in doing regularly, consistently. Lots of sites recommend lifting weights, body weight exercise etc. but if it doesn't motivate you, it won't happen. Try youtube classes? anything to get you started, and stick with it.2

The best exercise is one you like enough to do consistently.
I walk, lift weights, and sometimes I do HIIT videos
But the key to weightloss is to achieve a calorie deficit and keep it consistently. Fitness happens in the gym; weightloss in the kitchen. Cardio exercise is good for heart and lung health and mobility. But you can lose weight without it. Unfortunately, exercise just doesn't burn that many calories. They say you can't outrun your fork, and that is so true. So do exercise for fitness and health, but do focus on maintaining that calorie deficit.
