My dad flew back home to Manitoba today after a 10 day visit. It was a lovely time! Managed having company well despite the change to my routine. Mind you, he is VERY easygoing.
@jmu1965
My first time hearing about this wheel! I definitely have areas I feel are a 10 and others that could use some work. I am constantly in a state of self-improvement so it's a matter of where I'm willing to put my efforts in any given time.5 -
Yes x3. I havenβt done a Wheel of Life exercise in a couple years! Too tired to do it tonite, but itβs worth doing in the coming days.4

3Y day again
I've not seen this particular Wheel of Life but have seen similar lists. I'm completely happy with my life in all areas most of the time outside of this quite stressful period I'm in now. It helps to know that it's temporary. For me the primary area I'd like to improve is health ... specifically physical strength. I notice when I push too much with the weights I end up with more severe joint problems and when I quit they tend to lessen quite a bit. In these days I have a lot of hand/wrist pain (partially due to arthritis and partially due to overuse at the moment). I need to come up with a plan to address it. I think I probably should go to physical therapy but I have no time for that currently.

Happy Pi day. In honor of todayβs date, made broccoli-lemon-pesto pizza for dinner. Yes, whole, sliced lemons on top of the pizza - delish.
Have not seen this particular wheel of life. I think overall I have been quite lucky/privileged in life which has set me up to be happy with where I am across most of those categories. If I think about some of the areas, my husband and daughters make me a better person, for which I'm grateful for. I don't think I would be doing the types of volunteer/charity work without my husband. I don't think I would be doing some of the fun/recreation activities without my kids. Most of all, my parents set me up with a strong focus on education, which led me to a good career.6 -

Love the wheel really gets u thinking... thank u.. here's mine...
1. Family & Friends: Moved a few years ago so hve now made a few mum friends in my area, also hve my life long friends but they live 2.5 hours away. Love my family and since learning to set boundaries I feel a lot closer to them even though they also live far away.
2. Health: All great thankfully need to continue to focus on sleep as a priority though.
3. Physical environment: Live walking distance to the beach and love it.
4. Significant other: Hes my soul mate, he is so loving and nurturing. Works hard for us too.
5. Career: Took a 2 year break to be with bub and just about to go back to a new less stressful role that pays the same as my previous stressful job so that's a huge win!!!
6. Money/Finances: We r ok but me going back to work will really take the pressure off.
7. Fun and Recreation: I was just telling hubby I really need to start working on this one as right now going out and eating cake with bub is wat i hve been doing for fun...lol! So I am going to do a shopping day and also get a massage in the next 2 weeks.
8. Personal Growth: Reading, journaling, and meditation.
9. Contribution/Volunteer: I hve forms to do some online mentoring for youth which I really need to just fill out and submit.
10. Spirituality: Pray and practice gratitude almost daily4 -

@LazyBlondeChef your pain is only in the hands and wrist? Have you tried a neutral grip with the thumb not hooking the bar. It is laying on top of the bar. That simple change helped me greatly. For heavy dead lifts I use straps because subconsciously I grip the bar too hard and that too causes hand pain. Great Idea with the PT. Make time, you are worth it.3

@tahm42 My hand/wrist pain is from years of computer overuse and in recent years the phone doesn't help. Lately I've been using the speech feature for texting to give my thumbs a rest. Unfortunately, I learned to type on manual typewriters which required a bit of pressure and I never lost that habit on the computer. It's some pounds of pressure (I forgot the number). I try to go with a lighter touch but am not always successful.0

@LazyBlondeChef
I so understand. I have carpal tunnel. Have you tried changing your grip position? I know it has helped me greatly. Using straps also helps with heavier dead lifts when my hands decide they don't want to grip at all. Good luck in finding what works for you.0 -
Don't know if I was in my calories range, because I didn't log. I did walk for 40 minutes though.1
