Mini Goals, anyone?!

What mini-goals do you have to GOSO200S? (Get out and stay out of the 200s).

My first mini goal is 5 lbs - and my weight loss is traditionally slow so achieving this by mid-May would make me happy. Along with this is writing ALL my food down.

@jbateman2017 - I like your idea of slow and steady weight loss. If you don't mind, I'll adopt your mini goal as well - 5lbs by mid-May...and commit to writing ALL my food down. I don't know why I leave food off my tracker. No one but myself looks at it! LOL

My April mini-goals are to swim for an hour everyday that I'm not traveling for work and to log my food. To be honest, I should have swam 01APR, 02APR, 03APR and 04APR, but did not. I also didn't log my food. Ususally, if I'd planned goals at the beginning of the month and hadn't done them for a day or two, I'd abandon the goals until the next month. Crazy right!?! This time, I started on 05APR2022 and will continue through the end. I feel a determination that I haven't felt in a long time. I have a plan for making up the swim days. @kaspev1 @jbateman2017 indeed slow and steady wins the race. April is my first month back to healthy eating combined with exercise in many many months. In the past, I've lost 20 lbs my first month back as my body dumps water weight/fluids. Afterwards, I typically lose .5 - 2 pounds per week depending on my activity level. Right now, I'm focusing on swimming every non-work travel day and logging my food daily for the rest of the month. Whatever comes off, comes off. Slow and steady.

Having a wedding reception in June (got married in September but could only have 20 people due to covid)... need to fit back into my dress! 15 lbs by June 18th.. and then keep going from there. To achieve this, I am clean eating and writing down my food. Also stepping up my exercise in a moderate way (I have a tendency to go too hard when starting a plan and the end up injuring myself) WE GOT THIS!

I lose inches before the actual weight. The scale isn't moving by the inches are. So for the past 6 weeks, I have lost 32 inches off my body. Includes, neck, arms, chest, waist, hips, thighs & calf(s). Eventually the scale will start to move. I started at 296 weight wise. in two weeks when I step back on the scale, I will see what it says. My mini goal is to lose 20 pounds by August 2022.

Hi All, Awesome Goals! @NikkiHoney73 I have never tried that strategy but I have noticed that my scale is NOT moving much at all, so maybe i should adopt it. ? hmm🤔 In addition to my 5 lbs by mid-may, my other goal is to get into a consistent exercise routine. So far I've exercised twice this week and spent several hours at the park last week with the kids.

Good Morning @jlbateman2017 How are things going? Measure yourself weekly. Stay off the scale. Drink lot of water. I try to drink a gallon of water a day. Do you track your eating?
