I ordered a charger from Amazon based on someone’s recommendation. As soon as I attached it to my Fitbit it started charging. So I’m still waiting on a replacement from the Fitbit app, so maybe I will have 2 chargers. I feel ready again. It’s amazing how attached we can get to our things. 🤣

Chris the first one has these reverse crunches that are impossible for me. Yikes. And I wish she would talk. But I enjoyed it all the same. Thanks

Kathy I am not sure if it is a good thing that we do. But I am with you. And very happy it is charging again.

Chris that is what I did all weekend! I went out to eat with friends. Watched a show on Netflix, Rescued by Ruby. Fantastic show for all ages. Went to the movies. Had lots of company. Short walks with hubby and our dogs. I did workout with my friend yesterday. We did the first one you suggested.

And my weight is 153 today. Lowest in a while.

Mom had 2 appointments yesterday labs and CT-scan. Appointment today with oncologist to get results. 🙏🏾 Then planning to surprise her with a visit to her granddaughter’s new makeup studio which is only 10 minutes away from her doctor.

Hope to get to PF later. Nothing yesterday. I hate missing Monday but couldn’t be helped.

Great day Tuesday. Mom got a very good report from her oncologist. She does not have to have another scan for three months. Now if we get a similar report later this month from her neuro-oncologist it will be icing on the cake. 🙏🏾

Surprised her with a visit to her granddaughter’s new makeup studio. It was a very happy surprise for her.😄 My niece did our eyebrows…shaped and tinted them. We followed that up with lunch. It was a good day despite the storms here in Georgia.

Didn’t make it to PF but did 45 minutes on the recumbent. Getting up soon to head there this morning.

Kathy - so glad you got good news about Mom!

And how fun to get the brows done! ;)

Been a very busy and stressful week. Bella is being discharged from the day mental health program and we are trying to figure out the mix of getting them back to school in a way that makes sense for them. They still have a ways to go in treatment, but now move to an after school program. 🙏 all of this makes a difference.

Raining for the next 3 days ;( I need to figure out some exercise for sure...

Kathy wonderful news about mom. And the spa. Eyebrows tinted? I am such a backwards girl. I have never had mine even shaped! I need a makeover. Hope you made it to PF.

Karen my thoughts are hopeful for Bella. I hope she does well in school.

Chris I love talkers. But some good videos don't talk. I wish they would. I love verbal cues and helpful hints. I did a les mills body pump last night. I did not get through all the pushups! Nopey nope. Way to many after bench presses.

We are getting a new District judge. Should be early summer. Also a new judge in circuit court. That one will be replacing a retiring judge. The District judge will be a new spot. Makes my days busier.

Rocky is wanting to do a form of Keto. Thoughts on it are welcome. Might join him.

Yesterday’s workout made up for missing Monday and Tuesday. Full body strength training - 80 minutes and Treadmill - 45 minutes.

Headed to PF early this morning. Then back to spring cleaning before it becomes summer cleaning. 😂

Karen sounds like things are looking up for Bella. Will continue to send positive thoughts.

Treadmill - 60 minutes. Abs workout -15 minutes. I try to work on my core everyday…very much needed. Although my mom said she can see my waist line now. “Keep up those exercises”.

I do feel a difference in my clothes but my still need a lot of work.

Hey Chris, I'm off-topic again. But a friend posted this scholastic strategy and it struck me as stunningly brilliant. If you're willing to share, I'd be curious if your DDD has heard of it, and what, as a professional, she thinks. Makes my heart warm.

    ATTENTION ALL TEACHERS AND PARENTS
This is an article that needs to be repeated:
Every Friday afternoon Chase’s teacher asks her students to take out a piece of paper and write down the names of four children with whom they’d like to sit the following week. The children know that these requests may or may not be honored. She also asks the students to nominate one student whom they believe has been an exceptional classroom citizen that week. All ballots are privately submitted to her.
And every single Friday afternoon, after the students go home, Chase’s teacher takes out those slips of paper, places them in front of her and studies them. She looks for patterns.
Who is not getting requested by anyone else?
Who doesn’t even know who to request?
Who never gets noticed enough to be nominated?
Who had a million friends last week and none this week?
You see, Chase’s teacher is not looking for a new seating chart or “exceptional citizens.” Chase’s teacher is looking for lonely children. She’s looking for children who are struggling to connect with other children. She’s identifying the little ones who are falling through the cracks of the class’s social life. She is discovering whose gifts are going unnoticed by their peers. And she’s pinning down- right away- who’s being bullied and who is doing the bullying.
As a teacher, parent, and lover of all children – I think that this is the most brilliant Love Ninja strategy I have ever encountered. It’s like taking an X-ray of a classroom to see beneath the surface of things and into the hearts of students. It is like mining for gold – the gold being those little ones who need a little help – who need adults to step in and TEACH them how to make friends, how to ask others to play, how to join a group, or how to share their gifts with others. And it’s a bully deterrent because every teacher knows that bullying usually happens outside of her eyeshot – and that often kids being bullied are too intimidated to share. But as she said – the truth comes out on those safe, private, little sheets of paper.
As Chase’s teacher explained this simple, ingenious idea – I stared at her with my mouth hanging open. “How long have you been using this system?” I said.
Ever since Columbine, she said. Every single Friday afternoon since Columbine.
    Good Lord.
This brilliant woman watched Columbine knowing that ALL VIOLENCE BEGINS WITH DISCONNECTION. All outward violence begins as inner loneliness. She watched that tragedy KNOWING that children who aren’t being noticed will eventually resort to being noticed by any means necessary.
And so she decided to start fighting violence early and often, and with the world within her reach. What Chase’s teacher is doing when she sits in her empty classroom studying those lists written with shaky 11 year old hands - is SAVING LIVES. I am convinced of it. She is saving lives.
And what this mathematician has learned while using this system is something she really already knew: that everything – even love, even belonging – has a pattern to it. And she finds those patterns through those lists – she breaks the codes of disconnection. And then she gets lonely kids the help they need. It’s math to her. It’s MATH.
All is love- even math. Amazing.
Chase’s teacher retires this year – after decades of saving lives. What a way to spend a life: looking for patterns of love and loneliness. Stepping in, every single day- and altering the trajectory of our world.
TEACH ON, WARRIORS. You are the first responders, the front line, the disconnection detectives, and the best and ONLY hope we’ve got for a better world. What you do in those classrooms when no one is watching- it’s our best hope.copied for hope to save more Children

Hiya Shell, Yeppitty-yep-yep, what Chris feels, Paula feels, so it did get a little warm here yesterday. T'was exquisite.

I'm feeling inspired by all of y'all's postings and am gonna go pick up a couple dumbbells and lean into the TRX a bit. Need to jostle those muscles. (muscles? what muscles?)

Kathy, Your mom's news makes me so happy inside. Hope everything else follows suit! <3<3<3
