    3️⃣Pass Days left

Treats: I’ve always allowed myself small treats, but I tend to go for much healthier versions than I used to have, or measured amounts.
    Egs:
🔹measured portions: 20g popcorn; 10g of nuts; 20g chocolate etc
    🔹fruit or veggie sticks
    🔹biscuits under 100 calories (I have a few favourites)

Occasionally I will have an indulgent dessert or ice cream. I have no forbidden foods, so seldom feel I’m depriving myself.

Mind you, I’m in maintenance, so it’s not so crucial any more to be really strict.

However, I do choose to eat healthy the majority of the time as I value maintaining the health and fitness of my body.

Yikes! Lots of Pass Days this month! I'm not getting off to a very good start! ;)

Yum!! Treats! Lol. Great topic Donna! @donna25trinity I'm gluten/grain free, but I have a few "go to" treats. I love my l.reuteri yogurt as a treat (if I didn't have it for breakfast!), or I have a chocolate mug cake that I can make in a coffee cup. I can top it with handmade whipped cream with no extra sugar. It just depends if I have saved back enough calories for the day. :) I also have a new iced coffee drink that is keto, only 80 calories, no added sugar, and only 2 net carbs. It's called Super Coffee, and the Mocha flavor tastes just like chocolate milk!! It's delicious when I'm wanting something chocolate! Lol. I just have to remember that it has 200mg of caffeine!!! Lol. I also have a keto chocolate chip cookie recipe that I've made in the past that I like.

Edited to add: I almost forgot my #icecreamwalks! I walk into town, get a pint of chocolate keto ice cream, and walk home. Approx 12 miles round trip!! It's been raining almost every day - but hopefully I'll be able to start walking outside soon!!

Meant to say. What are treats? I fit things in to my cals which I like every day I don’t think of it as splurging or cheating or even as a treat.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? No formal exercise today. Did my nightly stretching.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? No (see note below ☺️)
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? No. I ate some chocolate that was at work and didn’t record the calories.
So today that chocolate was a treat. When I was at work last Thursday I didn’t want the chocolate because I didn’t want to eat it because I am trying to avoid refined sugar to heal. Hmm. I wonder what changed??

Just had an off-routine day today, but in a productive way. The sun has finally come out and the snow is melting so I tackled some other projects immediately this morning instead of sticking to my routine. I can see how changing temps/indoor vs outdoor options will require some planning and adjustment. Something to be mindful about!
