I'm calling this stress induced water weight. It is my crazy time at work and have also been readjusting to the new household situation since my MIL and her dog have moved in a week and a half ago. Also still unpacking from our move into the new house almost a month ago. So many life changes in such a short amount of time!3 -
Having a fun time travelling with my daughter and her friend. We stopped in Baltimore Harbor for a day - great place to visit - then spent a few days with my Mom in Mass. Saw lots of family and checked out the old neighborhood. Yesterday we were in NYC and walked a lot over 15000 steps - usual is around 6000. Back to home today about 8 hours driving so not nearly as much moving!
Back to normal on Saturday but I will try walking more as the weather warms up and get back to reporting my steps.

I had a meh week. I think my emotions really effect the way I eat- after work I had fries (got the small) one day, another day I bought a king Twix bar and shared half with my husband, yesterday I had some cookies at work.
Next week is my last week at work and I feel a little excited but stressed. I know I need to deal with my emotions better other than eating junk when I feel down
This week I wasn’t good about my water intake at all (2-4 c) I will drink more water this week and strive for 6-8 cups a day.3 -

If you weighed in last week...- Not weighing in this week has no immediate repercussions beyond maybe a message from one of the captains asking if you're doing okay and if you need anything
- Weighing in avoids being in the danger zone for next week
- Being excused (for any reason) also avoids the danger zone
If you did not weigh in last week...- Not weighing in this week moves you to the droplist to be formally removed at the end of the month
- You will very likely receive a pestering message from one of the captains to make sure you didn't forget about us
If you have been added to the droplist...- You CAN come back, even if to the support team for now
- You are not removed from the spreadsheet until the end of the month, so it's pretty easy to add you back to the standard team
- If you WANT to be removed from the team, you can just let me know and I'll make a note in the sheet so I don't bother you with these posts anymore

Gaaahhhh. Weight loss has slooowweddd. I think my next step is to cut back on my wind-down evening wine I have been indulging in. But I guess it comes down to priorities and my priority at this point is to live a healthy life and lead by example to my two little men.
My twins are seven months old today, and both me and my fiance are committing to showing them a healthy lifestyle and being the best versions of ourselves for them. They deserve it.3 -

Sorry for the late weigh in, I joined late and am a little confused on what day we are supposed to weigh in, and are we supposed to post our steps for the week too? Please advise.
@browan19 - I can clear that up for you!
So, when you joined the team, you stated a Sunday weigh-day. That is the day we expect to see an update from you each week. I can change that for you at any time, you just have to let me know what day would be better for you moving forward.
Steps are only necessary if you are joining the step challenge. We record weekly steps as Sunday through Saturday, but you're welcome to post a weekly total if you'd rather do that (I just can't calculate how consistent you are from a day-to-day basis that way).2 -

Hi everyone,
I’m Rachel. I’ve lost over 60 pounds in this group. I’m the Group Motivator by name.
I’m a high school teacher of physics for 12 years. Physics is the new “Earth Science” at my school and state. So I teach mostly students who hate science math and reading. I also have two teenagers and a second job. I’ve dealt with depression since age 28 and been on anti depressants on and off for 12 years. I’m 40 now. I had my second manic episode and first four panic attacks this past ten days. I finally have to face my childhood extreme trauma that started at age 8 and lasted through age 40. I have practiced self loathing and have had suicidal ideation for 32 years. As of today, Easter Day, I am finally on a Pathway to Real HEALING. I no longer self loathe and I no longer have suicidal ideation. I will start seeing a Counselor this week and I see my first psychiatrist in two months. My family doctor has me on some bi polar meds to help my Insomnia in the meantime.
I will be putting physical fitness on the back burner until my mental and spiritual health is better and I find coping methods to stay on the right path in life! Thanks for letting me share my story. I will still post my weight every Friday, and check in as much as possible.

April Week Three

This is most definitely post-vacation bloat, maybe even paired with water retention for muscle repair. There is no way I consumed... over 15,000 extra calories in the past two weeks. Absolutely not. I'm in the process of resetting my system from all the salt and sugar and stress from the past week, and I am positive that my efforts will be reflected in next week's weight. This is nothing to be concerned about, just a fun (?) spike while my body processes everything I've been putting it through.
That being said, I really haven't paid as much attention to my eating habits as I should, so this could also be a great wake-up call to get my butt back in gear. Weird to think that, three years ago, I was 20 lbs lighter. Back then, I didn't keep track of as many numbers, so I'm curious if I was as strong, or if I was on the road to becoming skinny-fat. It's a shame I can't go back and find out.4 -

@minstrelofsarcasm - I probably should of mentioned I was moving the last 2 weeks. But I am now officially settled into my new city. I expect to do better this week as I now have a kitchen set up and a gym. It probably wasn't the best time to sign up when I knew I was moving but I didn't want to wait until May and I'm pretty sure it also kept me from going off the rails entirely.4 -

And honestly, having some sense of accountability during a time of chaos can be helpful. This group has most definitely kept me on track, even during periods of transition. Glad we could be of use!1 -

My weight is just flopping back and forth. Went to the weight dr yesterday and they gave me another new medication to try. I'll start that Monday. I am going away for a work retreat this weekend so just incase something happens with it I rather be home. I am an assistant director in childcare and this new company that took over ours takes us away for the weekend and we get all our training done and get to have some fun. My dr is going to have me checked for diabetes also. Hoping I can get some answers some place.4
