    During the latter part of the baking, I put foil over the top... As luck would have it, the foil stuck to the skin on top. I was able to mostly get it free. Looking tasty...

    Chocolate chocolate chip cookies... One of my friends was teasing me, saying that I used to say I baked so my kids had good snacks instead of store-bought stuff but that excuse was "done" since I'm officially an "empty nester" so I guess I should own that I like my treats too. Plus baking is kind of cathartic for me... an odd form of stress relief but a productive one.

    Bread and cookies both look great! I love baking too but rarely get to do much of it these days. Too much of the good stuff laying around. I usually bake with my grandsons when I'm with them though. They love it and the oldest one is becoming quite good at it. The 4 year old loves breaking the eggs the best!

    It takes a certain amount of discipline to have cookies in the house and not eat more than one or two per day. I help myself by freezing the majority of them and only bringing out a few at a time.
