Happy hump day team. Hope you are having a great day! Guess what all? There are only 4 days left untill the half way mark. I love the 15th of the month as it gives us a chance to come together to share and celebrate our Non scale victories! Hang in there everyone you got this!

I'm in the airport departure lounge, and decided to have a coffee. So far so good,. .. but ... I picked up a cookie. And ate it although I didn't really enjoy it. How stupid is that! It was very sweet, too sweet for me. I should have just binned it.
My body is not s dustbin! Only eat food you enjoy!
So cross with myself.11 -

Isn’t that one of the worst things — to have such a “treat” and not even really enjoy it? Lesson obviously learned. Wishing you a marvelous holiday (now that I know where Kos is…). @lesarts180

Good advice. Airport food is the worst right now. In recent years the airports in the US were making an attempt to partner with local restaurants and upping their quality but the pandemic reversed that trend to the point they've gotten so bad with their limited menus. Now it's more that I need something in my stomach if I have an early flight. Otherwise I eat before I go.

I listened to this YouTube video this morning, especially to the part I have cued it to (around 34:00) of this interview with Liz Josephson. Shortly after that I read your comment and could not help feeling a stab of pain for the way you are punishing yourself. I know that you would never talk about us the way you talk about yourself in this comment. Most of the time you are a great inspiration for me. I am hoping this video may help you to keep working on being gentler to yourself because this is the first time I have noticed you modeling the kind of behavior that I want to avoid doing-- beating myself up. Liz Josephson is very correct when she says earlier in the video that shaming, punishing and criticizing ourselves tends to drive us to the behavior we don´t want. May you come back to nurturing yourself and being kind to yourself as soon as possible.4 -

Can´t think of any clear milestone or incident as an NSV this month. I have been noticing an overall increase in my level of energy and have been eagerly doing the type of home/garden projects that my husband and I have been putting off for years. I have realized that my health is actually pretty good right now. I have had some aches, pains and minor complaints, but I actually can´t remember the last time I was sick--- it must be well over a year now.

I wasn't going to make it to the winner's circle and this month I'm not going to be a champion either. I'm okay with that as right now I just need to concentrate on getting myself back where I need to be. I'll be around here, hopefully more than I have been recently. I had a doctor's appointment this week and was knocked for a bit of a loop when she added "moderate major depression" to my diagnoses and asked if I wanted to be on meds. I figured I was just stressing over my daughter's MH issues, financial stuff, and trying to find a house to buy (which is really effing with my financial stuff). So, while I know in the somewhat logical part of my brain that food is for nourishment and fuel, I'm finding myself overdoing the carbs in their worst forms and slacking on keeping track of everything I'm eating. The scale shows it. It's time for me to get back to where I be but I'm struggling with motivating myself to do so. Bear with me. I'll be here, hopefully more than I have been, and I'll try to log in on time for the remainder of the month. Wish me luck.
I hope all you beautiful moms who celebrated Mothers' Day this past weekend had a beautiful day with loved ones.

@LazyBlondeChef , this was a Starbucks cookie, but too sweet and over 300 calories!
@ideas2 , it was annoying to waste so many calories but you're right, I wouldn't have spoken like that to someone else. It was such a long tedious day and I thought it would be a treat.3
