Hi, I'm Greg! I'm a queer trans man living in the NYC metropolitan area, looking for more queer networking and support on this site. I've been through the weight loss routine before, but balancing a full-time job, full-time grad school, and part-time work on top of it led to me falling back into old habits for several years. I've gotten myself back onto the right path this June, and since then I've lost 35 lbs but I have a lot more to go before I get to my pre-grad-school weight, and then further still to reach my ever-elusive goal weight. I'm taking it slow and trying to do things right by setting realistic goals one at a time.2

Hi everyone, I'm Mauricio. I'm a graduate student living in Buffalo, NY. After gaining weight from the pandemic, I've started getting into exercise and eating right this year. So far, I enjoy boxing, weight-lifting, and the occasional yoga. Hope to get down to a healthy body fat percentage soon.1

Hello, my name is Dana. I am 36 and from Northern Kentucky. I am here to make friends and learn about fitness, so feel free to message me if you like. I am a huge nerd when it comes to games like World of Warcraft. I love to read, play piano, and guitar, and bake. I really enjoy podcasts such as true crime and horror stories. As much as I love these things I need to make more time to be healthy and do things such as going to the gym, walking or hiking outdoors, and eating healthier. I am a Biggby/Starbucks coffee addict haha so honestly that is my vice when it comes to food/drink. Hope everyone is having a great week, looking forward to meeting everyone.3

So yeah, that's me 😅5 -

hello guys, gals and non binary pals! My name is Dennis from RI. I have been on here for almost 10 years now and i am trying to be more social than i've been to help keep me accountable. I am now doing an internet based weight loss program through a local hospital here. The thing i struggle with most is just always letting my emotions rule when it comes to eating despite whatever commitment i make for healthier choices. i really hope that by me checking in here, it will give me that extra community support i need. Hope to talk to you all soon5

You can call me Hyles. I do not identify as my gender fitting to any particular label. I am ace-spectrum, aro-spectrum, and pan- in addition to these. I enjoy a vast variety of hobbies, including exercise, but am currently having to experiment with new forms of exercise due to a breathing disorder.
I am currently losing weight with the goal of 130lbs as a waypoint to see where in the normal range for my height may be best for me to aim for. Once I have reached this, I would like to build up some moderate amount of strength through exercise, though I am still figuring this out in terms of what it means for my tangible goals in weightlifting and such.4 -
Hello! My name is Alice. I’m a lesbian, happily married for 6 1/2 years. I live in Florida with my wife and 2 fur babies.
I was on MFP a couple of years ago and lost about 30 lbs. I then switched to WW for a year and lost another 60 lbs. Since WW changed their program in November I have steadily regained some weight, so I’m back to MFP.
My goal is to lose another 51 lbs.4 -

Hi everyone, my name is Frank, I'm turned 70 in Jan., 4 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I am trying to take it all in, there is so much to learn and what to do. My nutritionist suggested this app. to help track my carbs. I find it easy to eat a diet of meat and veggies. More than 10 years ago I lost 50 lbs on a diet like that, but my hardest thing was to cut down on quantity. I got down to 170-175lbs. but moving to N W Wisconsin a year and a half ago I lost control of my eating, ice cream, pastries, and sweets. My weight went up to 195 and until I had blood work done a month ago, that put an end to that, so I'm here to help me get healthy again. June 24, 2019 my partner of 40 years passed away from cancer. That was the hardest thing I have ever had to experience in my long life. Through the LGBTQ Grief Loss Support Group on Face Book and my hospice grief support I met a lot of new friends to help me get through my grieving process. If it wasn't for these groups, I probably wouldn't be sitting here writing this. Through the FB group I met a mid 50 year old man who lost his husband Aug, 2020. He said he couldn't get through the holidays, so he invited me to Wisconsin to help him get through the holidays. I fell in love with the beauty of this state. Being born, raised and lived in Florida all my life, I thought this place was awesome. So last April I made Wisconsin my permanent home. We are just friends through grief. Sorry for the rambling. I can get carried away. Thanks for any help and support.

Hello, all, and I can't tell you how happy I am to find a safe place to share. My name is Christina, I'm officially a senior now, and I have the extra inches around the waistline to prove it. I would like to lose around fifty pounds, which seems like a daunting goal right now.2

Hi y'all!
My name is Jade (she/her), I'm Canadian and in university. Dealing with depression and anxiety, stress eating, and a whole lot of schoolwork, lol!
I am 21, lesbian, asexual, and either demiromantic or aromantic.
I tried Noom but that's a lot of money for a university student. I like cats, art, anime, music, and science, and I speak French and play the violin!
Good to meet you, and here's to losing weight successfully and healthily!1 -
Hi y’all
My name is Liz (she/her). I am from Alabama. (No, not originally.). I have been out for 26 years. My wife and I are working to gain control over our weight.
I need hip surgery (bone-on-bone), but I am considered morbidly obese for my height. I am 270. I put back on 70 pounds after having ankle surgery two years ago when I became less mobile due to complications.
In December, I was diagnosed with lupus after having my gallbladder last April. Now it is difficult for me to loose weight.
I started working with a nutritionist to try to help, but I am overwhelmed as I have not lost any weight in a week while actively working to stay on the plan.
Just wanted to log on for support….
Good to meet you all.3 -

Hi! I'm Andrew, I'm living in Los Angeles. My main goal is to work on body composition (building muscle and losing fat) and focus on nutrition. I got thrown off track from my fitness goals thanks to COVID and getting into a new relationship (no one talks about how much weight you can gain going on dates!). Now that things are coming back to relatively normal with COVID and I'm happily settled into my relationship I'm finally back to focusing on my fitness and lifestyle goals! I was glad to find this community, I love LGBTQ+ people supporting other LGBTQ+ people ❤️4

Hi, I'm Dreah (they/them, but lately I don't mind he/him). I'm non-binary, AFAB and on the more masculine side of the spectrum (or at least I'm trying to be.)
I have been vegan for nearly 8 years, and have been married to a wonderful partner for almost a decade, who has been very supportive of my self-discoveries in the past 18 months or so. We also have 3 teen boys, two silly dogs, and two fish.
I'm trying to lose some body fat (femininely curves, specifically) and gain muscle, so I really need some accountability to do that. I also want to just be healthy in general, as I have some chronic health issues that make it difficult to work out consistantly.
I have gone hard on a few different programs in the last 5 years or so, but then I burn out and don't stick with it, so I'm trying out a more moderate slow and steady approach at this point.
Feel free to say hello or let me know if you have any tips or questions.2 -
@DreahDriver
Welcome. I am sending you a friend request so we can encourage each other:)0 -
Hi! I'm Ezra, non-binary (they/them) and transmasc (I've been on T for 6 months now). I'm also, uh, bisexual I guess?
I'm French, 30 (31 in December), a teacher librarian, an ADHDer and a creative type.
I've been steadily gaining weight for fifteen years despite being skinny as a child. I kinda suffer from binge eating disorder, but I have it under control now (though it wasn't the case for most of these fifteen years). So here I am trying to lose a little weight (say, a little less that 50lbs? I'm at 244 right now) but also get in better physical shape and gain muscle to masculinize my silhouette (I'm also in the process to get top surgery, probably next year?).
Hit me up if you wanna be friends!2 -
@EzraTellington welcome Ezra, I will sens you a friend request and look forward to supporting you on your journey!1
