Looking for new friends who need to lose 100+ lbs, too

Hi,
I need to lose 100 lbs as my health is starting to fail from all the damage carrying this weight for so many years has caused. I've been obese, and more so, morbidly obese, for most of my life, and it has taken a toll. I've had two hip replacements, and it is likely I will need revisions in the near future. Within the past year I've developed metabolic syndrome (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes) and I feel tired and ill more often than not. Enough is enough.
I've been down this road so many times, and I've tried to do it alone, since that is my nature. I would lose weight, and sometimes significant amounts, but never longer than a year of two. I've tried WW, but I found the meetings unhelpful, and usually dominated by one or two strong personalities. I'm hoping that I might find a core group of friends who are starting over, too. Who have significant weight to lose, and know how hard it is to lose it AND keep it off. Hopefully we can encourage each other to do better. And if we fail from time to time, we can help each other understand that it is part of the journey, too, but that we can't let it become part of a downward spiral that wipes away all the progress we've made.
So if you feel like what I'm saying makes sense, please add me as your friend and with this coming new year, maybe we can help each other to attain our goals.

Hi there!! i am starting over as well, new year, new me! in 2009, i was at my heaviest of 370. i started on my weightloss journey then and lost 86.2 pounds over the years, but in about 2012 or 2013 i slowly was losing my momentum and over the course of the years ended up gaining all but 21 of my pounds back. So here i started again January 5th, 2022(weighed in jan 3 at 349) and since then have lost 11 pounds. we got this!!! I am going to go add you as one of my friends now.2

Hey! I’ve just restarted my journey as well. I’m at 308. It’s now or never for me. I’m all in. I’d love an accountability partner or someone just to vent with and share food ideas.1

Hello!
I am currently working to lose 100 pounds as well. I began in Jan at 264lbs the most I have ever weighed. I'm currently at 257, haven't worked as hard I would like, but working to get back on track now. I use to be extremely active, ran, worked out, etc... and then a snow skiing accident happened and ACL surgery followed and my rehab didn't go as well as it should. My left leg will no longer straighten out all the way, so it made running again difficult for me. Working on eating better and walking more for exercise.
Definitely looking for others who are working to lose and need motivation too.
