I can't believe I typed December, and as I did, it hit me that 2022 is quickly slipping away. Man, this year went fast! Although I'm up a half pound from last Wednesday, it's within my usual swing of a couple of pounds on any given day, so I'm not too concerned. In fact, considering that the past week included Thanksgiving, no classes for a week, and that I'm no longer walking 90 minutes a day with someone else, I'm satisfied. It's hard to walk that long on my own. However, I did manage, without having a regular buddy, to get 10K steps every day but one, and that day, I got 8,533. It was the day before Thanksgiving, and for some reason, I just had no energy.
I don't have much report that I haven't already mentioned. My tummy is still not right, so I'm getting a little frustrated about that. I do have an annual physical 2 weeks from today, so I'll address it further at that time.
I do need to think about doing something to offset the week near Christmas when I will be in a car for 20 hours (10 hours each way) and then mostly sitting around in my sister's house for several days. I would give anything if her health would improve enough for her to be able to get out do something with us. A few years ago, she had a procedure that gave her relief for about a month, and that Christmas we went out to eat, visited other relatives, and even did some shopping. It was a taste of what it would be like if she were not in the shape she is currently in, which is essentially bed-ridden. Anyway, when we are there, I always just strive to hold my own or only go up a small amount, knowing that I can't let it play with my head and that I just have to plan to get back on the bandwagen as soon as I can. And at least I do burn some extra calories setting up and cleaning up when her kids and grandkids visit. We also do a lot of the cooking, although some we do ahead of time and take with us. To be truthful, for me, Christmas is a bit stressful, but I know what we do means a lot to Sis.
Sheesh, mentioning sisters, I hope yours is still recovering well. And I hope everyone else had a reasonably good week. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone later.
And before I forget, here are my 7-day averages for last week.
Steps = 11,842
Kcals burned = 1,732
Stairs = 15 floors
Goals? I haven't thought those through.

 Oh boy . . that is worse than I had anticipated. Again, I'm back to some good hard workouts Monday and Tuesday, but my intake has been all over the place with the holiday out of town and since returning. Today I had to get in an order for contact lenses, but I wanted the doc to tweak the mono vision a bit for me. He gave me some trial lenses at not charge, so after another week I will have a better idea of what to order. I also ordered some new glasses. I find I am wearing my glasses more and more.
 Thanks for asking about my sister. . she's doing better. She was frustrated at Thanksgiving at her daughter's home because she is still on a liquid diet while she heals. She says she can't hardly face drinking another Boost. But, she's coming along and the doctor will allow soft foods soon.
 Sarah, is it possible for you to go out for morning walks with your hubby or even alone while at your sister's home? I used to get really nervous doing that when I visit kids in neighborhoods where I might get confused (lots of trees and no sense of direction, lol), but I learned how to navigate it on my iPhone, and as long as I have that I feel okay . . in safe neighborhoods anyway.
 Wow, I can't begin to compete with your averages. The weight training takes 2 hours per week, so the steps suffer on the days I do that. I plan to try harder when I'm not as busy. It's that time of the year, isn't it? Is your tummy trouble having to do with pain? Are there other symptoms? I'm so sorry. . and I hope you can get to the bottom of it and get some relief soon.
 I'm looking forward to everyone's posts. I think we're all doing pretty well considering the holidays, life changes, health issues, and weather getting colder.

            Happy Monday. For me it started a bit frustrating, since I stepped on the scale and saw an overnight increase of 1.6 pounds (130.4 yesterday; 132.0 today) without a discernible reason. My macros were good yesterday and I had almost a 300 kcal deficit. My steps have been a bit lower since I don't have anyone to walk with for a while, but I'm still getting at least 10K per day. It's a perfect example of why I can't fixate on one day and let that day give me the ef-its. Hubby reminds me that "your best will be good enough," but I guess the question is "what is my best?" Hubby got the tree up on Saturday, but we were going out with some friends and didn't have time to decorate it. So I did that yesterday and it took a lot more time than I thought. Before I knew it, the mall was a short time from closing, so I did the TM in a couple of half-hour stints. Perhaps I should have taken a walking break and then finished, but I hated having all those boxes scattered around my living and dining rooms. Oh well. Today is another day.
 Kelly, congratulations on that nice reduction. You are doing great. I admire how you find time with all that is on your plate.
 I was looking back through our posts last night to see where I was in December 2015. A friend shared a photo from that time and I looked heavier than I think I look now. Thankfully, it turned out that I was heavier (mid 140's). Although I hit low 120s for a minute in time in 2010, I crept up 20 or so pounds in the next 5 years. So even though I'm still heavier than I'd like, I did move out of that zone again. And it made me happy to see your names from back then, and it made me miss Light and wonder what ever happened to Iquilttoo.
 Today, I have to contact my inplant doc and my financial advisor and do a few other things. I have yet to buy the first Christmas present, so I need to get on that, too. Fortunately, as my list of nieces, nephews, spouses of theirs and great neices and nephews grew so long, they all decided that since we provide a lot of the food and most of the labor for their get-together, they want that as their presents. So all I have to buy for is hubby, my adopted brother, my sis and her husband, and a handful of close friends.
 But the to-do list looms. So send me some "don't get discouraged" thoughts, and I'll do the same for all of you. And before I forget, Sheesh, we do try to walk at my sisters if the weather and all our tasks permit. The good thing is that she's about a mile from a small university that has lovely walking paths throughout the campus.
 Have a good day everyone.0

            Sarah, I say that not gaining weight is a win, especially this time of year with all the extra socializing, food and drink, and cold weather. You've been incredibly committed and successful for so many years . . you can be proud of the progress AND the maintenance! And, all while we are both getting older, lol. That's success, in my opinion. I remember I had struggled on my own to reduce to about 156 lbs. when I got the bodybugg. The support there and here is what has helped me get my weight down and keep it in a range that might be higher than what I want, but is so much better than where I was. I'm so grateful for the support of friends, as well as devices that have helped me over the years! Getting the changes to be habits is key . . and I think you definitely have great health habits.
 I'm hoping to see a post from Lois soon . . I've been wondering how her healing is coming along.
 Be back Wednesday for weigh in, even though I'm not thinking I'll have a reduction.0

            So sorry for being MIA. It's been challenging. So we had a 2nd surgery last .Wednesday. The incisions just won't close, so the surgeon went back in, cleaned them up and sutured them again. This time, the sutures will remain for at least 5 weeks and will be monitored weekly by my ortho and a home health nurse. I'm hobbling around the house. With the sutures I am unable to wear my walking boot, lace brace, nor sneakers as we do not want any friction on the sutures themselves so I'm still homebound. I have a nurse who comes each Tuesday. We'll start PT this week as well. I did start at the outpatient place, but found out I'm supposed to be doing it at home with the sutures and stuff. I hobble around with/without crutch and scooter. I'm taking tylenol and ibuprofen during the day and the percocet at night (it hurts pretty bad from being on tylenol only during the day. I'll move to Tramadol tonight or tomorrow and see how I do.Still on the recliner....and actually icing my leg/foot while I type. It does swell pretty good, so I'm trying to keep that at bay as well. Can't wear my compression socks because of the sutures. So it's all coming down to the sutures. we eat out all of the time. I did order the Factor meals again starting up this week. Hoping that helps with my weight. I was 2lbs high on surgery day fully clothed from my weigh in day just before the accident, so I guess I"m not gaining too much, I just feel yucky. Back to working full time from home. I take another round of meds for pain at 2 and it's a struggle to stay awake. On Monday's I have a meeting, so I'm trying to stay awake for that one.
 The weather has gotten chilly over here. Normally we have our heater set at 68. Seg and I have both been freezing and have it bumped up to 70!!! and I'm still chilled. It's been rainy here the past couple of days and this morning we had a fog warning. I could barely see out the back yard at 7am today. It was bizarre.0
