    Morning BBB

Had a pleasant meetup with some other early retirees yesterday. They live north of Atlanta and travel about 50% of the time.

Then a stop at the grocery since we already had a taxi. Got home just a it started to rain.

Need to exchange more money but the place we are already registered is closed on weekends and Monday is a holiday here. Have enough for the weekend but was hoping to check it off the list.

    Good morning BBB friends.

Car wash, for me, means a bucket and hose on the driveway. In winter I fill the bucket with warm water and wear heavy rubber gloves. I enjoy simple tasks that give visually satisfying results. Yesterday, I finished a small cherry wood bowl, with a red alder lid - maybe a sugar bowl(?). Same thing: satisfying conclusion.

Church, this morning, then a meeting to discuss the renovation of the sanctuary. Maybe go out somewhere with DW after that. She is getting a bit of cabin fever.

    Good morning.

Got in a nap yesterday and am running laundry now. Try not to envy my fast-paced weekend lifestyle. It's going to get to to 70 today, so we may go walking around one if of the concrete hiking trails since I'm sure the regular trails will be impassable for a while.

There are still 43,000 customers without power in Austin including a neighborhood just north of me that's been without power since Wednesday afternoon. There's a school in there, so it must have been pretty bad up there not to have restored power yet.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I made it to church and SS for the first time in a while.
    • One of my riding buddies is suggesting we take a short ride this afternoon.
    • A lady in our SS was talking about her daughter who is in Austin, still without power.
    • Enjoy your weekend, Mary. It is always interesting to see your summer playground in the winter.
    • Enjoy your Sunday BBB.
