Do you all still get regular covid testing? I haven't heard of anyone getting tested here for months. I'm positive I had it in October but didn't bother getting a test because I would have had to pay for it. Apparently, doctors haven't been referring people for tests either.
I suppose we're more concerned about war on our doorstep and the soaring cost of living in Central Europe (plus whatever the current fear is according to those in power and media) that covid has been reduced to a lower concern.

I was having a week last week and decided to excuse myself from my weighin. But thse are my steps. You can tell the days I'm work from home or a total slug. I'm improving, though We will see what tomorrow looks like... meteorologist is calling for 2-4 inches of snow and blizzard like conditions. The boss of all of us declared late start. We'll see if I choose to/am offered the opportunity to work from home.

Also, sorry to hear about your positive covid test @9Harvey! I was lucky to have a super mildcase when I tested. @BodyTalking, my agency offers a covid test every Thursday for us. If I'm there, I try to participate (which is the only reason I knew I had it a few weeks ago!)2 -

While I did not loos any weight this week, I did loose 1/2 an inch off my waist. My pants are feeling loose and I can almost use the next hole on my belt comfortably. I will take loosing inches over pounds any day. Stay Positive and Stay Motivated.5 -
@Stimpy56 Losing inches is a great accomplishment! I've had to dig out some smaller pants because the ones that I had been wearing (and had been getting too tight tbh) were too loose in the waist.5

Hi all, the last few weeks have been tough. Vid ran through our family and even though symptoms weren’t bad and didn’t last that long, the fatigue was unbelievable. I’m just now back to feeling “normal” and ready to get back to my routines. I felt like I was just in survival mode😁.

Hi all! I missed the first two weeks of check in days because the battery in my scale died and I’ve been really sick quarantined at home so wasn’t able to go out and get a replacement battery. But I’m finally feeling better and got a new scale battery! So back in the game

Still recovering from covid, I am negative but I have no taste and am spending next 3 weeks in training. I haven't spent this much time with people since 2019. I miss my normal routine at home and I am definitely not drinking my normal water intake because I don't want to interrupt the class by going to the bathroom every 30 mins. I am looking forward to the weekend to rest and prep to get back on track.5 -

Good Morning Team Weight No more!! Apparently, I gained weight last week. I am being positive. It is just a number on the scale. It has no emotion. I get to decide how I feel. And I feel good. I get to practice my weekend again. The more I practice the easier it gets. I am saying positive things to myself consciously with effort and all day long when I need to be uplifted and when I don't. I want to make positive thoughts automatic. I notice them popping up. Like yesterday, in trafic, some one cut me off. I said to myself, Self, He must be in a real hurry. I am glad I could help him today. I feel good when I help.4

February Week Three - Friday Weigh In
Previous Weight: 174.2 lbs
Current Weight: 174.4 lbs
Loss to Date: 59.6 lbs
Considering how much food and alcohol I've consumed over the course of the past week, this is a 100% acceptable current weight. Saturday was Cleveland's Beer Fest, and since I had purchased tickets as my gift to myself the week after my breakup, it felt wrong to not completely enjoy it. So I went. And I consumed much more beer than I normally would. And I made friends with random strangers as I walked around. And I did three rounds of karaoke, because I felt like hitting some high notes. It was a ton of fun, and I regret not a single moment.
The next day, I was incredibly bloated. I didn't go to the gym, I didn't leave my apartment. And that's okay. I don't need to exercise every day, I need time for my body to recover from the insanity I've been putting it through.
On Monday, I weighed myself. It was the first time I saw 180 pop up in a long time. My scale finally settled on 178.-something, but that 180 haunted me all day. I knew it was bloat. But seeing the number still hit me. I went to the gym during my lunch break, and swore I would log all my food for the day. I didn't. Logging dinner has always been a struggle for me, especially when I know I'll be over my set caloric goal.
Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday | Woke up obscenely early, went to the gym, showered, went to work. This new routine is working for me. Being awake before 5am grants me the ability to go to the gym without having the mental capacity to talk myself out of it, and leaves me in a better mood for the rest of the day. I also discovered that I've been snacking a bit too much throughout the day in the office, not because I was hungry, but because I brought food items and it felt wrong to bring them home unfinished. Yesterday, I experimented with bringing a little less, and it felt right.
Today, I am working from home, so I'll go to the gym during my lunch break. Afternoon showers always hit differently.
Anywho, I've kinda been obsessing over a video my personal trainer friend took of me doing lat pull downs. It's been extremely validating to see my arm muscles develop, especially since I've only ever perceived my arms as a pair of fatty sausages that jiggle when I shake them around. Oops. I had hoped to keep steady while away on vacation by getting a lot of exercise. However, as the saying goes, you can't outrun your fork. Too many meals out and more adult beverages than usual took their toll despite all those walks on the beach. Oh well, I'm moving forward and considering it a temporary setback.
