Hello Team,
I felt very active this past week, and I think I ate more responsibly this past week, so the weight gain is a bit irritating, but oh well. I was able to lift a little heavier weight in my strength training, so that felt good.
I give free yoga and zumba classes on the college campus where I live. Attendance was decent at first, but the new campus fitness center has opened so I lost many of my students to it. I understand this, and I will continue to do the activities whether or not people show up. I actually had a really good yoga practice on Thursday morning by myself, incorporating more strength and advanced poses than I would do if there were students there. I felt strong, though a little out of practice in some of the postures. It was a good reminder that I need to practice those poses more.
One of the reasons I started teaching group fitness was to hold myself accountable. If I am the instructor, then I have to do the work and be prepared. I have to show up to class. So even when no one else shows up, I still do the workout. Though, it's always more fun when there is company.

I've been struggling this week and I don't know why. I was doing so well, Valentine's Day hit and I dipped into the sweets and then I started to struggle. I can't seem to control my sweet tooth so I try to stay away from sugary treats. But once I indulge, at least for now, I have trouble getting back on track.2 -

I didn't think my steps were that great last week. Since I got sick 2 weeks ago I was having a hard time doing anything. I did start today right with being on my treadmill. Last week I think I ate out a little to much but I didn't really eat much as I was getting full quick. We had people over yesterday so I have the rest of the salad that I made ready to go for the week. I do have tomorrow off so I will get another workout in. I am trying to get myself excited to start getting up early and I hope it can work.2

Still in training and truthfully I am just trying to make it thru the next week and a half. I haven't fallen off track but with early mornings and lack of my normal routine I am just trying to remain the same. I am so looking forward to the change in time on March 12th, longer days usually change my mindset also.6 -

Last weekend, I took Friday and Monday off, so I got in two water fitness classes on Friday (and I don't normally have any that day), and I got in an extra one on Monday morning. This has really helped my energy level for the week. I really wish the class schedule allowed me to take one each day, but I have to be satisfied with 3 days a week most weeks.4

Hello everyone! My name is Kyla and I am 44 years old. Will be 45 next month. I joined this challenge with the hope of getting the motivation I need to do a better job at taking care of myself. This is the biggest I've ever been in my life, besides being pregnant years ago, and I am just unhappy with the way I look and feel. I used to have self-discipline and motivation when I was younger, but now it seems like I have none. I am excited about this challenge and hope it's the kick in the butt that I've been needing!9

I am happy with not loosing this week as we have Family staying with us. We have been eating out a lot and some of my food choices were not so good, but they were delicious. I Don't sweat the small stuff and realize that sometimes spending time with Family is more important.
