Hope you're all doing well! My wife had surgery for a heel spur last Friday and has been zero-weight bearing on her right foot since then and will be until the end of the month. They had to detach 90% of her achilles tendon and grind the large bone spur way down. She has a cast on her foot so that it can reattach before she starts gradually putting weight on it again over the following two months. I've been doing all the cooking, cleaning and waking every couple of hours to give her pain meds. I've had 4 surgeries in less than the last two years and this is her first so I really owe her big time. I don't mind though. I'm loving getting to take care of her. I just hate to see her in any pain. We've stayed up on it pretty well so thankfully that hasn't been too much of a problem.

@Dave - you're such a good husband! The yoga guide made me laugh because I just got back from something called restorative yoga where we hold the poses for 5 minutes each! I guess the other yoga is speed yoga? We're having a cool day in Florida and I went for a glorious run this morning. 26/501

@JANET - You're right! It didn't really register to me that it said 20 seconds per pose! That sure IS pretty fast!

Thank you all for your kind wishes. We’ve finally had my sisters funeral - 38 days after her death. February was a hard month.
@Dave - a well timed holiday. It sounds like you had a good time. I hope your sweetheart has a speedy recovery
@Janet - you’re a superstar … your moving keeps me motivated
@2essie - I hope the knee replacement goes well and you have a good recover
@sussexbythesea - it must be wonderful to see your sister after such a long time. Enjoy every minute of it.
My wrist is no longer in a cast - but it may be a while before I can return to Pilates or machine weights. The poor skinny thing needs building up and that’s being hindered by some neurological discomfort.
Missing for months and you can’t shut me up!1 -

@K80FLEC and @CARARQ for the well-wishes for my wife. She's been hanging in there pretty well and not being too hard on me either.

Dave, sending good thoughts and hugs to your wife. I would love to see a picture of you in your apron and bonnet, holding a broom and dustpan...
You are a good husband!

Now that would be a good picture!
@Dave - glad your lovely is hanging in there …. but my question would be … what are you up to that she’s not being too hard on you?

@CPANUS & @K80FLEC - Thanks! And lucky for me, Chris, no such picture exists! And K80FLEC, I plead the fifth.
Have a happy weekend, everyone!

I've had an interesting day. I drove 7 hours round trip in order to attend a memorial service and a bridal shower. No miles for me - I'll have to catch up tomorrow.0 -
@Dave: So sorry about your wife. Sounds painful just reading about it.I have a nasty heel spur that still shows up on X-rays. It looks like a curled finger. I can only imagine how painful that must have been. You are a good man taking care of her.
