Well, holding my own, which is a bit of disappointment since I put a lot of effort into meeting my kcals burned daily goal of 1700. And some days, that has taken some effort. It's amazing how few calories us shorties burn going about our daily business. Despite the good weather that has allowed me to walk my hilly outside route, I still had to do some fast walking on the treadmill to hit that goal. But I did it every day but one. My daily average steps were 11,051 and my daily average burn was 1,710. Again, I discount stairs because of the hill factor.

Hope all is well is with everyone. Here the wheels keep falling off. :s These things do come in bunches. Night before last I looked at the thermostat and it had a notice about a system failure and said to call for maintenance. We did, and luckily got someone out yesterday. Three hundred and some dollars later, he said it was not a major problem and that it was fixed. Then last night, I looked at the thermostat to check the outside temp and the same message was there! So now I am waiting for the service company to get back with us about when they can come back.

And hubby is still dealing with neck pain and so disappointed that the car is still in the shop (it was 5 weeks yesterday) and so he does not know when he can reschedule the trip he had to cancel. He so looks forward to his two fall trips to be with his cousin and add work stress, pain, and lots of aggravating and costly home repairs . . . But he has done better with all of this this past week than he did the week before. I think acceptance is beginning to take hold.

I, on the other hand, had a terrible night. I got to bed around 12:15, probably got to sleep a half hour after that, and then woke up around 2:30 a.m. And my brain, of course, just got going. So around 3:30 I got up and went downstairs and watched a cooking show on PBS. I think I finally fell asleep around 4:30 and woke up again at 6:30 when hubby got up. That's early for us, but he decided to take a few hours off this morning and go out to his friend's farm. He also loves it out there. His friend owns 144 acres, so it is really like getting out in the middle of nowhere even though you're just a few miles from a big, busy suburb. Anyway, I'm sure sometime today, I'll be needing a nap!

Lois, it's great that your foot is allowing you to do some walking. I know it must be a little frustrating to have to build back all your stamina, but I know you'll do it. You're a warrior. And yep, darkness is coming so much earlier now. It seems to happen quickly. I hope to start getting to bed earlier so I can get up earlier and capture more morning light once the time changes. I've gotten into a bad habit of going to bed after midnight.

Will check back later. Sheesh, I'm looking forward to hearing about the birthday trip.

Sorry Ladies! Life is super busy this time of year. Kids are back in school, hockey tryouts are done for 1 kid and begin tomorrow night for the other one, work is insane and to top it off, I have a cold now. I tested but it's not covid, not that it would matter anyway. The kid's Mom messaged this morning and she tested positive for covid. Oddly enough, it's exactly 2 years to the day since she last got it! Weird.
So just a quick check in. We get the cabin on October 16.
Happy belated birthday Sheesh & Happy belated Anniversary Lois!
I'll be back soon to check in.. just ending my work day here and planning to head out for a walk.

Hey Kelly girl. That hug is from me. I am so sorry to hear that you're dealing with a cold. You're a trooper still head out on walk. A lot of folks around here have a non-Covid respiratory something and some have said they feel worse than when they did have Covid. Last Thursday we had to cancel our class because two instructors were sick. One got sick after traveling to attend a funeral in NC. Both tested a couple of times, but it was just fall-of-the-year crud. So take care of yourself and don't over-do. (I know. That's easy to say and hard to accomplish.)

Woot Woot I'm celebrating a 1lb reduction! Struggling to stay on this program but still lots of almonds and baby bel cheese or celery with cream cheese to tied me in between.

Sarah - Great job keeping it the same. Better than a gain. I'm sure the car will be repaired and you will all be happy - especially when hubby can get away on his trip.

Kelly - great to hear a quick check in. Hang in there and also get some rest when you can.

So our priest just sent out an email this morning that he is very ill and has tested positive. He's only 50. But yeah, he's alerted the entire parish so I'm sure everyone will either mask up or have more distance when at services. I'm still attending via livestream only.

Haven't been as diligent with my walking, but we did get all of our dining reservations for Thanksgiving made TODAY. WHEW. Who knew that planning a DIsney get away would be so stressful. I hope it's not like a wedding and over too quickly! But I am very excited. I've got my backpacks and my Magic Band ready.

This software launch is a very very very long process. We're now possibly not launching the sales platform until the first of the year. I am still going full steam to get my side prepped and ready. Just in case they team changes their mind to go live sooner. But it is a very intense project. So super busy and exhausted at the end of the day.

Tomorrow is Rhea's 5th bday so I'm logging off early (logging in early as well) to head to her house for dinner and a cake (ordering a small bundt cake so we can't have too much. There will only the the three adults and Rhea. This is how I'm going to keep myself accountable and within the program as best as I want.

Blargh! I'm feeling it too. . in the waistband of my clothes. But, I've been having a too good time :D The mini vacay for my birthday was extremely fun. We almost stayed another night, but had to get back for doc appointments. The weather and fall colors were so beautiful. And, of course, way too much good food and drink. The Riverhorse on Main in Park City was fabulous food. The other places were wonderful too, but had WAY too large portions, which I tried to eat anyway of course, lol. My trainer was sick and had to cancel a couple workouts. . We finally got one together today. Monday, I had an echocardiogram and a treadmill stress test. Later in October the cardiologist is going to review all the tests I've done of late . . he's checking my PFO device, my heart, and my medications. Yikes, that stress test was hard, but they said I did well. I guess I'll find out. Tuesday, I got my Covid and Flu vaccines. And Wednesday, my daughter had a sick nanny and had to bring granddaughter here while she worked online . . I couldn't go to her because a workman was coming to install a new hot tub cover before winter comes. After playing with an active 24 month old (soon) all day, and after vaccines, and a weight workout today . . . I'm about to drop.

Lois, Happy Birthday to Rhea! I can't believe she's 5 already. Congrats on your reductions, and I know you're going to have the best time yet in Disneyland.

Sarah, I'm jealous of your 120s!! I've got a lot of work to get back there. Don't stress too much about the car . . it will get done. There's a lot of Covid and Flu around here, too. I'm thinking I'll mask in some public spaces. We're flying to Portland in November to see our granddaughter in a play, and I'm going to mask on the plane.

Kelly, it's good to see you here! Hang in there with the colds and busy schedule. You and I should team up for a commitment to some new fitness goals . . Sarah and Lois are well ahead of me!

Happy Friday, Ladies. Lois, I know you had a wonderful time yesterday celebrating with pretty Miss Rhea. :) I also cannot believe that she's now 5 years old!

And Sheesh, I'm glad you had such a good birthday trip. And don't brag on me too much. I've had a couple of "off" days and did not make my kcal burn goal on either Wednesday or Thursday. I also did not do too well with intake on those days. Last night I had spaghetti with Italian sausages in the sauce (mega calories and fat) and then a friend gave us homemade cookies and I had one and a half of those before bedtime. So my 129.0 on Wednesday turned into 129.4 on Thursday and 130.0 today. That's the first time I've been in the 130s since late August, and I'm bummed. I do know, however, what I have to do about it.

And the "wheels falling off" saga continues. We learned yesterday that car would not be ready today after all and that it will take at least another week. Hubby decided to go over and talk to them, and he was told that part of the slowness is that their corporate office will not allow them to work more than 2 hours on a single car in a day. We're not sure why they did not tell us that from the get-go. Hubby called the corporate office to confirm that this is indeed their policy but has not heard back. Not that an answer in either direction would change much of anything. And to add insult to injury, we've had the HVAC folks out twice this week and it looks like I'm also going to have to call for service on the freezer part of our frig. It feels like it's never going to end.

Sheesh, be sure to let us know how your tests come out. I'm sure you did great on the TM. If you could see some of the newbies in my class who have been sedentary for quite some time, you'd know that we're all so lucky to be as active as we are. Lois, I know the foot injury has set you back, but these people could not walk 1.5 miles with two good feet.

Well, a neighbor just dropped by and asked me to come over and see some work she had done in her front yard this morning. I know one older tree came down. When I heard multiple trucks with saws and chippers, I was terrified that they might be here to cut down more trees on the common ground in the middle of the cul-de-sac. And I was relieved when they pulled out here and none of them were gone.

And mentioning trees, Sheesh, I envy the fall color you're enjoying. Our dogwoods are turning red and there's a little gold in the top of the maples, but around here, the oaks, birches, etc. are all still green. We used to be at peak color by mid-October, but in recent years, it's more like November and many of the leaves go from green to brown. Climate change, I guess.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

    Happy Monday Ladies!

Sheesh - your bday trip sounds fabulous. I hope that I only gain 1.2lbs after Disneyland!!! And you give me waaaay too much credit on my activity. I'm only getting my 2mile walks in 3/week at the most. And all of you have a much better structure for working out than I do at present. Post Disneyland I'm hoping that will change.

Sarah - That totally stinks on the car...I can't believe they can't just focus on a car and clear the space. How ridiculous!!! Good luck to you.

Well, hubby went away to TKD camp on Friday. He planned on leaving by noon and because he didn't get his stuff done, didn't leave until 330. So, it kind of interrupted my weekend alone game plan. Haha. I told him to drive safe, stay healthy and have a great time. My plan for the 3 days was to tear into my office space. Somehow this room becomes a collecting/dumping ground. Which, ok, that was what this room used to be - just a storage room. Anyhow, there is a potential that my sisters may stop enroute to my brother's house in a couple of weeks and I wanted to be sure one of them could stay in the den and use the wall bed. But first, I had to reorganize and dust. I have rolling shelf thingy's that are currently hold all things Disney trip bound and several of my MIL's things that I need to go through along with future gifts for Rhea. So, after hubby left, I did get a couple of hours in to just do some basic sorting. Woke up Saturday am and pulled my desk apart. Cleaned it and then went behind it and tied up all of the cords that had never been organized and just bothered me to see dangling. I dusted the window blinds and sill and into some darker corners that are not easily reachable (I should have bought a smaller desk once we added the wall bed) - so hard to access an area. Anyhow. I got most of it dusted vacuumed and cleaned and organized. Now if they do come, I simply raise my desk and place the rolling shelves underneath and pull down the bed. This took me about 3 hours of good cleaning. Then my phone rang. Hubby called to let me know he was on his way home. Somehow he had tweaked his back and couldn't do the training. So bleh. I lost interest in completing the rest of the stuff I had planned (more cleaning but still), and I put everything back into my office and waited for him to get home. With Disneyland coming up and the $$ we've spent for the trip (it is all paid for now), none of us can get injured and I was freaking out a bit. We are rapidly approaching our free cancellation period. Disneyland is the main reason I have not started with my trainer nor attempted to hit the trails. I'm even nervous about walking too much around here and tripping and getting injured. I'm a bit of a basket case on the subject - truth be told. Grand Calif rooms and tickets alone are over $15k for just 4 days - not including food/snacks/gifts or travel to get there. So everyone has to stay healthy and injury free. EEK. I know he was in a lot of pain as he actually took muscle relaxer and pain pills. The Tylenol and Advil didn't touch it. So ice packs, heat and resting. So I still have dirty floors. Ok..so not really "dirty" just not freshly cleaned this weekend. I do love me some clean floors tho. And he's cancelled his fitness class he teaches this morning and may not teach this afternoon. EE Gads. What am I going to do with him home all day after work??? LOL. Please help me and send good healing thoughts for him to start moving around, not cranky and ready for Disney!

And I woke up at 330 this morning and was unable to get back to sleep. After tossing and turning for over an hour I read, and still couldn't go back to sleep. So at 450, I came downstairs and started working. Since I take Fridays off at the moment, I had a ton of emails and stuff to process. Hopefully my coworkers do not have their phones set to ding for new emails at 5:30am...oops. I just thought about that. Anyhow...Hoping I don't crash at 10am. Have an awesome day.
