I woke up very early this morning and then made it even earlier by setting my collection of clocks back an hour. Jeesh, why do we do this?
Finished up DD’s piano tuning late yesterday and shared a nice dinner with her, and DSIL who arrived back home from the HC football game at Lehigh, in PA. They won by a miserable 2 points in a sloppy game, but a win is a win. They may not make it to the championship this year, depending on how other teams in their league do. They have been Patriot League champs 4 years in a row. We had a mixed salad, garlic-cheese bread and grilled chicken breasts.

Bill, glad your procedure went okay; praying it brings good results now.
I seemed to be coughing a lot more yesterday, lingering symptoms of the COVID which started 3 weeks ago? allergies? If not better I might call me doc for some advice.0 -

Bill, I'm glad the procedure went well. I further pray that all of the cancer is knocked out and that you recover quickly.
I got the first round of leaves picked up yesterday. Four hours of that wiped me out. There are still lots of leaves on the trees, so that was only round one. Doing it in two stages on our acre with lots of trees is the only way to go. I have a John Deere lawn tractor with a lawn sweeper attached. The lawn sweeper fills quickly, so there are lots of trips to the pile which also needs to be mounded after every 4-5 trips. I did something bad wrong to my shoulder while raking the leaves.
The Chiefs have an early game in Germany today against the Dolphins. The game is at 8:30 our time.
Lots of chores to get done today.

I am in the camp in favor of the time change. Luv me the extra hour and earlier light.
Go Chiefs! Maholmes is my fantasy QB. High hopes for him to have a big game. Taylor has been a jinx for the team, IMHO.

good morning gentlemen.
Mom's birthday celebration was very nice. My sister did a great job setting it up.
Sassy was not so happy about being left outside. She scratched all the paint off the back door, just below the handle. She knows that darn handle is the way to get the door to open. She just can't figure out how it works. Now there is a ragged 6-inch white patch on our beautiful grey door. Couldn't blame Sassy. She just wanted into her house.
My leaf war has yet to start. In another couple weeks, I think. We have 1/3 your area, Steve, but no lawn tractor. I pick up leaves with our mower and carry each bag to the back corner of the yard to pile for Rita to use as mulch and soil amendment. She composts everything she possibly can.0 -

I was up and out early to get to the Farmers Market in Livermore by 8am to get our knives sharpened. He said to come an hour early to beat the crowds so I dropped them up, had a cup of coffee and did some studying up the road and came back less than an hour later. I picked a few groceries on the way home. The time change doesn't bother me one way or another. I don't understand the fuss. Recovering from the procedure it seems. I am more tired but am not sure it is related to anything other than being a month away from turning 70. I am not sure what to expect procedure wise. In 6 weeks I have the external beam radiation for the final kill shot. We are starting to shift back into moving mode again in our planning. That feels good. I am going to dig out those 2 root balls today if it almost kills me. Some rain may be coming through. Not much but enough to be annoying.
