My hands4God weighed in late. Please move them from the drop list. I entered their weight.
Also, ddainiak changed her username to iLive2Walk. I changed it on the spreadsheet but I am not sure where I make the change for getting her total weight lost.

I need to step away as co-captain on Slims. Our wonderful motivator @Katmary71 has agreed to step up and work with @trooworld.
I don't know what makes the most sense for spreadsheet transition. Maybe after the close of the week on Saturday?0 -

I'm sorry to hear that you'll be stepping away as co-captain, Mark! But I get it - you have been in that role for a good while, and it is good to make a change. Thank you for being such a big help - every person who volunteers to keep this group going is wonderful, and I appreciate your hard work.
As to timing, I'll leave that up to @katmary71 - any time or way you hand over will be fine with me. I have a question for everyone: I have someone from the team who dropped out about a year or two ago and they want to re-join for January. They are asking if they should wait until Jan to join again. I am not too familiar with the process of joining. Thanks in advance.0

They can rejoin at any moment. Jump on it! We can just enter a current weight and back fill all the previous weeks with that number, so they are starting with 0 gained or lost on their slate. Then they're ready to roll right away. Just add them to the bottom of your team list with "return" in the first column after the weight, and then I'll re-order the roster with them in there. If they give you a "highest ever" weight, let me know what it is and I'll put them on that tab as well.

@jugar Is it the F2F - December 2023 spreadsheet that I would add her to? The Slimpossibles tab?
Yes. Just add her to the bottom of the list, with weigh-in day. Then fill in this week's weight, and the same for all the previous weeks. Then all is well!

Greetings Captains! I hope your holidays are going well and that you are gearing up for the new year to come.
As usual, this will probably be our biggest recruiting bump of the year. Hanging on to the new year newbies is always a challenge. Here are a few things that can help:- "friend" your new members so that you can send them direct messages if they do not appear or seem to slip away before giving the team a chance
- Make a post about Sunday weigh-ins. They are often confusing since the Week 1 weigh-in happens on the very first day of the challenge. If they stick around to do another month, it will feel more logical to them since their last weigh-in is the first day of the previous month's final week (wow. did that even make sense?). In any case, you get the idea - try to explain about Sunday weigh-ins better than I just did. Sometimes I even suggest that they change their day if they find it weird.
- Check your "support" list! Invite people back if they are ready.
- Go into any forum discussions where people are looking for peer support and propose they give our teams a try. Hearing from someone who is already involved in our group often brings in the best new members. For new members, it will usually be an update to their starting weight. Do not enter any weight for January until we get there - go by the dates for the week in question, but new people's starting weight = same dates as continuing peoples' week 4 weight. Thanks!0 -
