Morning…
Rain, fog and wind here, and flood warnings yet again. I’m at 1150 feet so not an issue, but rivers have been overflowing in various place the last month and a half it seems. On my way to my hike yesterday I drove to a covered bridge to check the rapids on the Ware river. Looks higher than I ever recall.
Nice hike in a woodland preserve—a few miles on trail with an inch or three of snow with bare muddy patches. Sun was shining. Only wildlife was a squirrel. Lots of hills.
Probably focus on more decluttering today. A birthday dinner tonight for DS.0 -
Good Morning,
Went to a gathering last night and weight is up a couple of pounds, some folks use too much sodium in their cooking.
Pablo got me up at three to take him out then again at six; now he is a sleep
Reckon winter is here for next week, cold but no frozen precipitation expected. My arthritis does not like cold.
Prayers for healing, hope all have a great weekend.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
It's 19 degrees outside, with a wind chill of 10. That's pretty cold for Tumwater.
Spent enough time in the shop to rough-turn two more bowls. I have an impressive pile of shavings for Rita to use as mulch this spring.
I had a chat with the admissions nurse from the hospital, yesterday. I am the first case of the day on Wednesday. It's good that I don't have to wait around, but my report time of 5:15 means I will be getting up around 3:30. Maybe I'll pretend I am going fishing.

Good Morning
Dave, I would always be happy to be first in line. I have been schedule later in the day and had to wait an additional hour or more as things can back up. Then you can get home with extra time for Rita to take care of you.
Heather came with me yesterday to my radiation treatment so we could walk afterward and get some groceries for my son who does dinner cooking on Fridays. I managed to stretch to almost 1 1/2 miles now without much discomfort. I think I am back to enjoying weekends since my mornings aren’t so scheduled. I did fall asleep around 8:30 and headed up to bed around 10. 8 1/2 hours sleep was the grand total per my FitBit. I have decided to start baking again to keep positive energy going. Dough is in the bucket raising, then will be chilled for even longer. I am modifying a Cranberry/Pistachio wreath recipie I haven’t tried. No cranberries to be had so I am mixing cherries and pomegranate fruit. It has been many many months since I baked but the enriched dough is looking good.0 -
Mornin ' gents
Sitting in a barbershop to get the few hairs I have left cut.
First in line for surgery is good. Early wake up would be a minor inconvenience for me.
I should have gotten here earlier...probably a 30 min wait ahead of me. But I'm here and I'm in desperate need.
Dumb bell work out didn't kill me this morning.
Cat is not talking, but enjoying her gabapentin and buprinorhine.

14 degrees and snowing starting with a skiff last night but snowing now. A tiny pinch of sand sized pellets and maybe a drop or two of freezing rain stuff but well over 99% just snow in our area of Portland OR. We are now colder than Seattle or Olympia today a bit. Our high probably wont get up past 18 degrees or so. Definitely cold for Portland/ Beaverton where I live. Also high wind gusts today. Already a gust over 30 MPH. Hope it doesn't get to 45 or 50 MPH.
So Bill how many radiation treatments are you doing??? Good luck with those for sure!!!
Good luck Dave with the surgery!!
Prayers for all getting treatment. Stay warm and comfortable as possible!!0 -
Good afternoon!
Sunny and 2 degrees at 3:00 in the afternoon. The high tomorrow is supposed to be -1. Great weather for a football game tonight.
Just a lazy type day today. I've needed a down type day.
