    Good morning.

Ask for the good stuff if you discharge early, Skip. And give Carrie a big hug from of all of us.

We explored an unfamiliar area of town yesterday and thanks to Cecilia's sharp memory, stopped for ice cream when she recognized an intersection nearby.

Our big conference for work is this week, so that means late nights and early wake-ups for me. Will start conserving energy so I can talk with a ton of people and be a good little WW'er to give the scale a fighting chance after all the meals I'll be eating out.

    Good morning BBB friends.

I'd call if I had your number Skip. So sorry about your DMIL. The loss of my own mother is still pretty fresh, too. Just a sad time. Hope you recover smoothly from the surgery, and that it does the trick.

I have oral surgery under general anesthetic, this morning, at 8. Up at 5 for a single cup of coffee. They are removing a cyst (and doing a biopsy on it) from the roof of my mouth. I made a pot of soup last night in anticipation of a very sore jaw.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I had breakfast with the ROMEOs.
    • Skip, I know you have a rough week ahead of you. May it go as smoothly as possible. Hopefully Carrie's family will be there to help. You need to follow the Drs. orders. You don't want to create the need for another surgery because you didn't follow orders.
    • I think we all wish we were on Steph's balcony.

    Home early

Continuing prayers for skip and Carrie. Also Dave too. It hasn’t even been a week has it?

So mad over here. Long long story but plumber had to come back because dh forgot to ask them to put in a new triplever for the bathtub. Anyway. He decided yesterday he’d fix it. Couldn’t. Called plumber. Seems as if dh broke the pipe. Now we will have a hole in our kitchen ceiling. Lovely. Wedding is around 20 some days away. Worked on that bathroom nearly all day. Still need to install shower doors. Interior designer coming Thursday.

Nothing can go right over here today. I’m opening a bottle of wine soon.

Oh Kelly! Don't be too hard on him. Stuff happens.

My procedure went OK. Feel a little off balance from the anesthetic. I'll loaf for the rest of the day. Too bad, too. It's 70 and sunny outside.

Tomorrow will be one week, since my mom passed. Our choir director composed a short piece using the old Irish Blessing (May the road rise up to greet you. May the wind be always at your back ...etc.) That we sang as a postlude for St. Patrick's Day. In the middle I thought of mom and started to choke up. Even when the end is long expected, and in some respects a relief, it is hard to lose a parent.

    BBB~
    • Surgery went as good as it could yesterday - though MUCH MUCH longer than expected, nearly 5 hours....
    • Was able to sleep good though - don't remember much but they woke me up at 11p for rounds. I went back to sleep.
    • Up early this morning. They wanted to check me into rehab. I opted to check out instead using "family emergency" as excuse. I fear if I told them funeral (to be held in PA) they wouldn't let me come.
    • DW is doing okay. She was happy to see me-though yelled at me for checking out.
    • Funeral is all set (Friday viewing/Saturday service).
    • VERY VERY sore but glad to get in my own bed.
    • Sorry for the plumbing woes!
    • Tomorrow will (has to be) a better day!

Skip, Take care of yourself while you're taking care of Carrie too.

Sorry Kelly. The bathroom will all come together.

Dave good you made soup ! Heal up.

Moms have a way of sometimes making us tear up, long after they are gone. Church does that for me too sometimes. If I hear the hymn
Be Not Afraid. I get all teary eyed emotional thinking of my Mom.

Huggss to all of BBB. I am blessed to have you in my life.
    Thank you!

    • Follow orders Skip. You don't want to have to do this again.
    • Happy healing Dave.
