Hi I just joined, Biggest change I have noticed from 45-54 is that I need to manage my energy levels, also I can't do the regular heavy workouts anymore my joints prefer medium weight and higher reps done in a circuit/calathenics/functional style rather than one exercise at a time, I feel great if I also do lots of stretching. I think the body begins to get more sensitive to physical stress in your 50s and I have noticed the need to be mindful of how I am feeling and have sufficient recovery time and good sleep.2

I've used the MFP app to count calories on and off for a few years. Never actually looked at the groups or message boards before. I would like to find other 50+ members to get advice and motivation. Add me as a friend if you are also trying to lose weight.1
