Today's Topic: What is your relationship with salt?

Is salt off the menu for you? Do you use it as you always have? Do you use a salt alternative? Does it differ if you are at home, at someone else's home, or at a restaurant?

Just how salty are you?

The only thing I put salt on is corn-on-the-cob.

Only thing I put it on is potato. But it is an ingredient in my veggie soup. 1/2 tsp in a whole batch.

No hypertension here, but I still pay attention. I’ll buy low-sodium foods, and I keep an eye on my salt intake using the Nutrition tab in MFP. I'll put some on a hardboiled egg (snooty applewood-smoked sea salt) but otherwise no. I figure limiting my intake is most things helps offset my craving for a salt lick once I start eating chips or crackers.

I guess I’d say I'm cautious about it.
