Many of us feel the need to remain connected by just signing in on a daily basis. We may have a lot to say or very little. We may say smart things, or dumb things. It doesn't matter if we're having a good day, a bad day...or something in between. We'll post our thoughts, our successes, our challenges, our insights (or lack thereof), and our support. We're here for each other. Together, we can do this!

This isn't about perfection...it's about perseverance: to persist in an undertaking in spite of counter influences, opposition, or discouragement.

Onward and Downward. Everyone is welcome!

Do one thing right today...whether it's drinking the liquids, eating the fruits and vegetables, taking the multivitamin, getting the dairies in, having the healthy oil, choosing whole grains...whatever.

Remember that at its core, this plan is simple - eat less than you used to, eat a little healthier, be a bit more active. The rest is just finding the balance that works for you, and your friends on GoaD are here to share what's worked for them.

Had to go up to Dexter ME. to bury my nephew/baby brother (7yrs. younger, raised 2 blocks apart)
ashes in the family plot. All his siblings and spouses came. Hadn't sees them since my sister died, many years ago. A really good time.

Sorry to hear that, Al. That’s a long trip for a difficult purpose. Glad you got to see family, though.

Dexter was part of my territory in the early part of my career when I was based in Portland, ME. My northern boundary was Dover-Foxcroft, and I spent lots of nights in a hotel up there.

My dad was from Dexter, and my mom from Cambridge, ME. They were HS sweethearts at Dexter High. My older brother lived there, and worked the Fay Scott foundry.
