I'm up 2.6 pounds over the last week. I think that's mostly "Motrin weight." Whenever I take Motrin, I always end up with a bump-up in my weight. I'm taking it for a pulled muscle in my calf from running, so to add insult to injury, I'm taking a little rest-time off from running too. I have started using the exercise bike though.

Other than that, just trying to stick to my personal plan.

I'm down 2.4 lbs this week. I hope it's a trend but taking Lasix I never know. I haven't been behaving like I should. I really need to concentrate.

🤦🏻‍♂️ SMH - THAT explains it! I haven’t been overweight all these years; I was over-Motrin’d because I was taking it for my knees.

    😉

Last week I was in the Red Zone, meaning I weighed in that Thursday evening over 180#. The plan for that is to limit myself to not more than my daily points of 30. I did that, and weighed in this Thursday within my Green Zone of at least two pounds below goal.

The integration of the 14 day average into my Zones is still being figured out. It’s about managing the trend rather than the number, but it’s also slower to react. As a result, I’ve got a weight in the Green Zone and an average in the Red Zone, and I’m not sure what to do with that. The purist in me says the right thing to do is stay with Red if either metric is Red, and the rationalizer in me says I got my actual weight back to the Green Zone and shouldn’t punish myself for what I did in the past that drove up the average. 🤔

Right now, I’m thinking that there need to be consequences to the high average or there’s no point to including it in my approach. Wanna hear some good rationalization? Since the average is a smoothing technique, I should apply it smoothly as well, rather than being drastic. Taking that approach, when one measure is Green and one is Red, I’ve going to treat it as Yellow. (And yes, this approach will likely continue to evolve until I determine is it’s rational or rationalization.)

In unrelated news, you’ve heard me describe the WW penalty on fats and sugars as the Sin Tax that they use to fund consumption of zero point foods. I had a great example of it yesterday. We had neighbors in for coffee and served homemade coffee cake. I had two slices which totaled 26 points, which is more than 86% of my daily points allowance. When I look at the calories where I double-track in MFP, it was 488 calories out of my 2180 allowance to maintain, or less than 23%.

Up a pound, but that is okay as I am at my target weight. All good here.

No change from last week. I've been at 192.5 for three of the past four weigh-ins.

I'm up 1 pound for the week. I was up 2 pounds last weigh-in (which was over two weeks), but suffice it to say, I'm not trying hard enough.

Next week, i'm having my second hip replacement surgery eleven weeks after the first. Looking at my progress chart, I'm going into that surgery the same weight as I went into the first surgery. That says a lot.

I expect a possible bump in weight next week from swelling, but after that, I plan to get serious again. I feel great that I'm wearing clothes I haven't been able to wear in a few years, but I've clearly gotten a bit complacent. I'm still a long way (for me) from goal. I'd like to end the summer feeling great about my choices. (And pain free!!)

Good luck on the surgery; hope it brings good relief. That’s more important in the long run than the weight in the short run.

Thanks Charlie! If things go as smoothly as the first surgery in terms of recovery and pain relief, I'll probably start a weekly thread titled, "Post Your Breakdancing Accomplishments Here." 😁
