Welcome to our new members!

If you are new and want to join in, by all means, please do - we love to celebrate those losses with you! This is the standard format we try to use for these threads:

Name: (if you'd like to share)

My Numbers:
SW: Starting weight before you lost anything.
CW: Current weight at the beginning of the challenge.
GW: Goal weight for the month (what you would like to weigh at the end of the monthly challenge) Try to keep it realistic and SAFE!
LTGW: Lifetime goal weight ( What you would like to weigh at the end of your weight loss journey)

Weigh-ins: What days you will weigh-in; for example, Mondays
7/1/24 = (Fill out after each weigh-in.)
7/8/24
7/15/24
7/22/24
7/29/24 (final weigh in for the month)
Total WL/G for the month= total weight lost or gained for the month

It was also suggested that we could track our measurements at the beginning of each month to see how we do there, so feel free to add those too this month!

I was struggling a lot with mental health and consistency in June but now I'm ready to reign it back in and get serious again.

I'm very close to my first longterm goal of 199 lbs so I really hope to meet that this month!

I also want to get back into exercising this month. Summer has been mild here so far but when it gets too hot to exercise outside we also have an old treadmill in the basement. I have it setup with a fan plus we installed a tv to watch while walking the treadmill, so I have no excuses! I want to start small, maybe 1-2 times walking per week.

I'm also trying to incorporate more plant-based foods into my diet and I want to keep up with that this month. We've been eating a lot of bean and veggie burgers from aldi and they're sooooo good. The produce has been really good this summer and lately I'm enjoying a lot of peaches and cherries for desserts. I'm looking forward to getting some fresh local yellow squash and zucchini soon. 🤤

It finally happened. 😳 I reached my first big goal and made it to Onederland! 🥳 Also I swear my bathroom floor isn't flithy, there's just built in speckles on the linoleum. 😂

I've been buying some cute dolls on clearance sales lately and stashing them to open for weight loss goals... So here's my pink girl to celebrate Onederland! 💖 Yay!

I guess my body was ready for a big woosh this week. 😳 I noticed that it usually happens about a week before my period. I start feeling itchy all over my body, but mostly in my trunk. I have a lot of loose skin around my waist from previous weight loss and it all gets so itchy for a few days... Then woosh, weight suddenly falls off and the itchiness is gone. It's really strange!

Anyhow, my next goal is 196 lbs, which is BMI 29.9 and no longer obese, just overweight. 😭 I gotta make it there!!

Been ill all week. Still ill. Waaa. Not an excuse to not do well though :( Meant to be on a mini holiday next week for my anniversary so gonna have to behave for that!

@mmatcha_latte You're such an inspiration! You're doing so well <3 Apparently I need 186 to not be obese for my height. That's handy to know!

I have another big update already! For some reason I had another woosh and I met my next goal, which I didn't expect til the end of the month or even later. 🙈 I'm starting my period so maybe that's why? I dunno, but I'm not going to argue! I've weighed in at 195.2 for the past two days so I think I'm officially no longer obese! 🥳

Well the past 5 days holiday included me cooking one time and every other meal was eaten out (including one mitchilen star meal which was like a total bucket list item and the second most full I've ever been lol). I don't anticipate losing 7lb in a week to meet my goal but I HAVE tried to minimise the fallout by planning a good week (well, kinda exception for Friday night when I'm visiting my bestie who I only see a few times a year).

My husband who does weight training is swapping from bulking (eating loads of whatever he wants essentially) to cutting (eating basically chicken and rice almost every meal). Since I do all the cooking I have a feeling that this will make eating well a lot easier for me haha. Also no snacks in the house once his last few are finished as he's not allowed them either, removing temptation hehe.

You all did amazing this month, I hope I can join you for August! I do have a good feeling for it atm.
