Today is actually the 25th, but I didn't find a new thread, so here I'm starting it.

My hubby came home and has a lot of fish! We're going to have to give away fish to friends and family for sure.

My free week went by fast! I had a great time, but I'm glad hubby's home. My daughter brought her girls over on Friday. I had a lot of fun playing with them, but after dinner and sending them off, I was whipped and went to bed early. It's good we have kids when we're young for sure!

Sarah, I'm sure you're on your trip to your sister's today, so I hope your tummy is okay, and that you can get out for a walk while there. Lois, I know that PT is going to be hard for a while, but you'll be glad if you stick it out. Kelly, check in on Wed if you can and give a report on your eye and shoulder.

I'll be back Wednesday for weigh-in.

Hi, all. I did weigh on Wednesday morning before we left but did not have a chance to post. Hubby packed my laptop too fast. The diverticulitis did kick up so I've had to change my diet and take the meds. Who knows what I will weigh this week. We will be getting home Wednesday afternoon, so this week I will need to weigh and post on Thursday. Although I've watched intake, walking has been difficult to get done. I truly envy those of you have family that are enjoyable to visit. This has been far from that! It will at least increase my gratitude for my own ordinary life once we get back. My sister is in truly bad, shape, my BIL mumbles so you can hardly understand him, and there's little to do in this small town. And these trips cost us quite a bit between hotels, pet sitters, gas, etc. (not to mention they eat up hubby's vacation days at work), but it's something we have to do. Sorry to be what Lois calls a Debby Downer! Hope everyone is doing well. Lois, hope the PT is having some good results, and Kelly, I do hope you eyes are improving.

    Sorry Ladies,

Sheesh - so happy you had some daughter/granddaughter time. Glad you enjoyed your time and hubby had a successful trip. I think we're alike in that the time hubby is away goes very quickly.

Sarah - I can completely relate to your travel times. That was how it was when I had to travel back to Cali to take care of mom, especially when our friends or time limited any extraneous visitation. And not able to really get any movement in....that was when I was pretty active - and though I had five weeks of vacation, it still dipped into my available pto and funds that were needed for gas, hotel, etc. That's family and obligations.

Hubby and I spent the weekend pre-packing for our Disneyland trip with our 12yo granddaughter. Oh my goodness I am succumbing to the marketing of Disneyland. The Halloween novelties are too cute and hubby isn't even helpful at resisting buying them. Anyhow, I'll be bringing home many silly items I'm sure. Anyhow, I keep (and use) a detailed (very detailed) packing list. I sent a modified list to my granddaughter and her mom. Her mom was like , WOW so detailed. We bring two sets of day clothes in the summer as we go back to the hotel and change mid dayish due to the stickiness. So we're having her bring two sets as well. I want to avoid doing laundry at the hotel. Anyway, we will be there for four days... super excited. She loves Bluey so I ordered her a couple of special Bluey/Disney shirts for the trip from Etsy - one has arrived, waiting for the other two. We're super excited and spent a few hours planning our shopping, rides and experiences. My daughter and SIL will also join us on Sat/Sun. We are very very excited - can you tell.

I have been doing my PT. Not increasing weights at the moment, just keeping the leg strong. It still quivers and aches the night of PT. I have my appt tomorrow and have decided to cancel the appt I made for Thursday. I have so many tasks to attend to and I don't need it tired out to aid in the driving that night or any fatigue for the weekend. And I need to head to Scottsdale at 4 to meet my granddaughter at 5 to have dinner and go to my grandson's first varsity football game. I have to leave there at 8pm to be back home when hubby gets home so we can be on the road as early as possible. Bummed I'll miss most of his game, but hubby can't be driving until 3am. I've also reserved a scooter to pick up at the hotel - just in case. Cheaper to order and reserve it at $50/day versus $80 at the park. We'll definitely use it Sat evening for the Fantasmic show so we can be at the back standing (or me sitting on the scooter). Daughter can't sit on the ground either due to her coxsys injury from a few years ago.

We had the chef again, and it was all delicious. I've emailed to have her come back on Tuesday after we've returned home. I need to put together a more caloric focused menu for the next round. I think I'm getting ready to get focused.

And eye swelling seems to be going around. Hubby's left eye is super swollen...again!! The same thing happened over the Independence Day trip (same eye too). I was able to get him in to see our friend/dr. this afternoon versus going to urgent care. Hoping he has something that reduce the swelling sooner rather than later. A repeat situation requires the doc to look a bit more into it. So please cross your fingers they can prescribe something to reduce the swelling quickly so we have a safe drive on Thursday night.

Oh my goodness. Had PT this am. They increased my weights and added new exercises and YIKES. It's been a couple of hours and my legs are still a bit quivery.

Hubby did get an rx for antibiotic and some other drops. Apparently he does have a stye, but it's also infected. Good grief. How does this happen. It's still very puffy today, but it does look a teensy bit better.
