Good morning!
Collin is sick. We are hoping a cold, and not anything more severe. He came home early yesterday, and likely won't go in today. He has only worked two days and now sick. One of the guys that he was training with was also sick yesterday. It had better not be COVID.
My shoulder is still hurting me, and I'm not sure what to do about it yet.
Frankie has a big swollen knot on her right ear (the flappy part). I don't know if she was stung or what. I didn't see signs of a tick, but I'll look closer today. She has been getting flea & tick meds monthly. She does not seem to be in pain with it.
I am taking Connie to an appointment early this afternoon. Connie is getting some pelvic floor PT for some "woman" issues. This PT is needed to hopefully avoid something more serious like a hysterectomy. Next Tuesday is her upper and lower scopes. We hope that gets some more insight into her IBS symptoms.
We are all falling apart here.
We could have storms today, and for sure are expecting rain this weekend. We really need the rain. Kansas City has only had a trace of rain this month, and we are down over seven inches since the 5th of July.
My hot tub has been sitting in the basement unused for several months, taking up valuable real estate. I leveled a space under our raised deck, and moved the hot tub under there. I got it set up and filled yesterday. I still want to put up some lattice screening, and I have a little more cleanup under there to make it nicer. I'm hoping that the hot tub will help me this fall/winter with my arthritis and shoulder.
Sam, praying for your shoulder, and Bill, praying for strength and patience during your move. Bob, you have not talked about your eye and vision lately, but including that healing in prayer as well. Settling an estate is no fun. Dave, including you in prayer for strength through that transition and process.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Sam, I'm glad that you are getting along well enough to do the substituting.
Another cool, cloudy day, with a high in the mid-60s. I need to wash the Tacoma, then Rita has some errands for us to run. We have furniture to move, too. Two new recliners will be delivered on Saturday, and we need to move my worn-out one out to the deck, where I can disassemble it into pieces that will fit the trash can. We also need to bring the cobbler's bench coffee table into the house and move the one we have used for the last 25 years up to one of the spare bedrooms.0 -
Good Morning
Sam, I didn't realize how long your recovery/healing was going to be.
Hard day yesterday. I had only slept 3+ hours which combined with feeling the effects from all the packing and moving stuff left me drained. Back and legs are pretty stiff so I had to take it easy in the afternoon after we went to the dump. I am feeling my age and then some. Just 4 days left living in the house. We are moving using PODS. I will say one thing they are pretty good at sending you notes to make sure you are on top of everything. Yesterday it was a reminder of things to make sure of before the POD is delivered. I found the date for the POD to be picked up after it was loaded wasn't set up in the system.0 -
Wow Sam sounds like quite the ordeal with the shoulder.
Glad all went well in Salem for ya Dave. Even when expected life changes are a time of introspection. I miss the most of having conversations with my parents.
Hang in there Bill and tell yourself "self pace your self!" Easy to say.
Oh I am having an appointment with one of my ophthalmologists today who treated my non-invasive Squamous Cell Carcinoma in my left eye. Lee! I was told it was in many ways akin to "Cancer Eye" in cattle like Herefords. Mine is in situ and seems to not be spread beyond the conjunctival/corneal margin.
The doc I see today is very smart and did both removal with margins plus cryotherapy on the affected
area. So far I haven't started "mooing" or "lowing" like a cow. haha.
My vision in that same eye isn't great but I am OK with that. My other eye doc told me to discuss my situation with him as he is "very smart". I agree.
Oh I am soooo sorry that Colin is sick. Our on-line yoga zoom class was cancelled because the teacher got a vicious stomach bug just after her two young kids started school again.
Hasang in there all.0 -
