    Chocolate

I eat a frozen treat nearly every evening. Usually some kind of fudge bar. WW brand is good. Yasso too.

Other times I go through this Is it a craving or is it an urge thing. My feeling about urges is they pass. But a craving will eventually have to be indulged and managed.

I have a shake blend from a manufacturer especially prepared for food cravings. They Skagit make food bars that actually work.

I get mouth feel or taste cravings. Usually for some specific food product. Often the feelings will pass. Other times they are persistent. The persistent ones can be dangerous.

I AM food cravings - sweet, salty, crunchy and full of simple carbs. I know where you can get four king apsides candy bars for five bucks, and I know that the Dunkin Boston Kreme donut is fewer points than the double chocolate donut.

How do I manage it? Not well, sometimes . . . it requires being rational, and a craving is anything but rational. It’s “I want” regardless of what I need. Giving in to the craving can be just as bad, since craved foods are the rabbits of the food pyramid - one lead to four leads to sixteen,
