It hasn't been too cold here, yet, but definitely extra layers and heating switched on time. As it's not raining much and the wind is calm, I'm getting out for a walk or walking extra, to and from work, each day and enjoying the sun when it's out. It won't be long until it's hat and gloves time though and I'll need to push myself not to stay indoors. I also need to work harder at not eating more because my body seems to feel hungry quicker.
While I was waiting for a bus, I thought the colours were lovely.

Spending time outside: taking a walk, raking leaves, cutting back the garden, mowing, spooky night walk at "Haunted Overload", navigating a corn maze, fall festival craft fair, end of season farmer's market.1

We take our girl (Kaylee) for a walk every day. She needs her exercise too. I read that dogs should get 3 hours a day. Wow. For dogs, sniffy counts as exercise. They get a lot of stimuli from sniffy.
I got distracted. We make sure to get her walk for a half hour. I also take some breaks throughout the day and go for mini walks outside. It has been in the 50s in the morning, so those mini walks have been tough. Those are mostly just me and Kaylee. Sometimes, she spends them barking at cars while running around the back yard. I wish that I had her energy.
Tomorrow, we are going on a birthday hike with our daughter. They will be bringing their dog and we will have Kaylee. I don't know how far we will go.1 -
Today I got out to Bug Light (down the street).

It's been hot as hell all week (Southern CA) and finally started cooling off today. I'm actually really looking forward to some evening walks next week.1

We've been fishing/camping. Our Fall family tradition. More outdoors than in. Challenge to continue 'hardening off' as papashop calls it, when we get home today. Gardening and dog walks should get us through week 2.0
