one day at a time...

As some of you know, I am a junk food junkie. I would rather have a bag of chips and chocolate bar than a turkey dinner. I have a hard time passing by the chip aisle in the stores. I will admit it's been hard so far, but it's getting easier.
But, it is now day 3 that I haven't had any of that stuff. It never made it into my cart or my house. I did buy plenty of veggies and some fruit. I even left my insulin at home when I went out so I wouldn't have an excuse to eat out.
So far, my sugars have be great, near or below 6 before a meal, and back down two hours later.
I know it hasn't been that long, but I already feel a difference. It's almost how I felt when I quit smoking.
One day at a time, or even one meal at a time. The support from this group is also a great help..
