HOW IT ALL WORKS: The November challenge runs for five weeks, from October 27th - November 24th.

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get November on the road!

    Hello Slimpossibles!
I'm Mica, one of the maintainers of the team.
I am a semi-retired bookkeeper; I work 3 days a week at a plastics factory. I started my weight loss journey at 220 lbs in 2001. I reached my goal weight of 130 at the end of 2003. But I regained (not all of it) and had some up/down weight cycles of about 3 years each...finally succeeded in maintaining in my range successfully. I've been holding pretty steady since 2019. Determined never to regain.
Most of my exercise is walking. I do a short strength training workout early in the morning. If weather prevents me from walking, I have a stationary bike and an elliptical for cardio workouts, and, I just bought a walking pad so I can walk indoors! I sometimes do yoga in the evenings.
I'm just getting over a sinus infection, and I hope to start working out regularly again on Sunday November 2nd.

I know it says in the team info that 19shmoo69 is the motivator, but he's having quite a lot of personal crisis issues in his life, and he stepped down; I am doing my best at taking his place.
I look forward to another slim month with my teammates 💙

Dairy free yesterday, skipped cheese on my burger, my latte was made with oatmilk. I dropped 2 lb. overnight, my stomach is less bloated than yesterday, I woke up without nausea, my digestion is happy, and my skin cleared up some. I'm just going to have to learn to love dairy free I guess! My current allergy tally is... pretty amazing. I am physically incapable of being vegetarian or vegan. Being very glad I live in a time and place where I can still eat around my allergies! About to do Day 2 of Down Dog's November challenge with chair yoga (at least to start with).

@morenin Wow sounds like you definitely need to stay dairy free to see if it makes the difference long-term, that would be wonderful to have it solved. Good luck with Day 2 of the challenge.

@micaroo4 We appreciate you being our motivator! Now that I think of it I can't recall if I reported it, I'm off to do that now! Done! That's great news I'm glad your sinus pain is improving.

@trooworld There's monthly fees for EVERYTHING these days it's so annoying! What an awesome photo opportunity I can't wait to see your photos! I didn't know you were in a photography club very cool! My Dad is too and they go places together, it sounds real fun.

@TeresaW2024 Have a wonderful time at the craft fair, how fun!

@askewcr I'm glad you're enjoying Power Project, you've been doing amazing! Would you be willing to be our next Member Spotlight and share more (with your surgery coming up I understand if you'd rather wait)? I'm proud of you too you've been getting it! Ouch I'm sorry to hear about the surgery but I hope you're feeling better soon. With how you've been eating better and moving more that ought to help your recovery.

Hi team! Had a fun morning with the garden club, we met at a local restaurant because there's voting in our usual building. We had a speaker who makes yarn out of her alpacas' fur and uses it for shawls, hats, etc. I came home and took a nap then harvested seeds from my yard (super difficult with the netting over all the plants, all the basil flowers are caught in it) and put in some red and yellow onions I got at the club. I felt like cooking so I made Skinnytaste's Sheet Pan Turkey Meatloaf and Broccoli https://www.skinnytaste.com/sheet-pan-turkey-meatloaf-and-broccoli/ which was pretty good, I think I'd like it better with a ketchup that doesn't have a lot of sugar or BBQ sauce without much sugar. I used gluten free breadcrumbs so the only “bad” ingredient was the ketchup with sugar. I'm brainstorming gifts I can make with my herbs, I got a few cool jars at the thrift store and will look up ideas next. Have a great Sunday friends!

Welcome to our November chat Mission Slimpossibles! I'm Kathy, I'm a co-captain with the wonderful @trooworld. Our moderator is the amazing supportive @micaroo4 . We're happy you're on our team!

I'm in charge of logging everyone's weigh-ins and reporting changes. The weigh-ins on Fat2Fit are a friendly weight-loss competition. Please do NOT feel you are letting the team down if you gain or don't lose anything, we are not holding this against you and commiserate and are cheering you on. Most of us have had weight struggles and understand the challenges. You are expected to weigh in weekly, please do your best to weigh in and do so on your chosen day. If you're away from a scale and unable to weigh the earlier you can let me know you won't be weighing in the easier it is for me to report it. If you would like to change your day please let me know. If you do not weigh in for a couple weeks you will be dropped from the team. Weigh in format is easiest for me to log if it's done similar to this:

    Weigh in Day:
    Previous Weight:
    Current Weight

I've also been doing Member Spotlights. If you are interested in being a Member Spotlight we need to become friends on MFP so we can send each other private messages where I'll send you questions Chris and I put together for you to answer. I'll give you my email so you can include a photo if you'd like and will post it to the group shortly after I receive the answered questions and photo.

I've been part of this team since early 2019 and it's become an important part of my life and helps me stay on track (and stay sane). We share all the trials and tribulations of making healthier choices as well as swap recipes, do challenges, talk about life, share photos of our lives from pets to gardens, exchange workout videos, talk books and movies, and most importantly support each other. For me personally I'd been homebound for years and was very isolated and sick and having this support and seeing I'm not alone with things I'm going through has been very helpful at face challenges and grow. I really appreciate that people on here are into personal growth, I have so many people in my life who only want to talk about what they need to do instead of actually do it which I find frustrating. I'm above my goal weight right now but am working on getting my post-surgery weight off, I just hit my year since my last back fusion/fusion revision and didn't want to be too extreme cutting calories until my body recovered and back fused. I have spinal issues and CRPS (painful full body nerve disorder) and have to modify a lot of my exercise but I do chair cardio, weights, stretching, and gardening daily. I'm exchanging supplements and treatment with a functional medicine practitioner by doing her administration, file claims part-time, volunteer as secretary for a local charity, and volunteer with the food bank farm and run the greenhouse team. I love gardening, reading, learning about functional medicine, and going to (mostly metal) concerts when I can.

    Let's have a wonderful November!

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If you can complete one important task this week, what would that be?

In my backroom, I need to re-arrange the many large plastic containers of various seasonal decorations for my apartment. I need to get to a folding table I put in the far corner because I didn't think I'd need it (but, of course, which I DO need now, for a new project I'll be starting). Re-arranging the containers is like playing one of those box problems, where you have to shift the boxes, left/right/up/down to finally get the ONE item you need out! LOL And it becomes a strain doing this with MS now. <sigh>

@vegan4lyfe2012 I got your weigh in logged for last week and asked Lauren to remove the "No Weigh In" by your name. Glad to see you're still here I was getting worried about you!

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If you can complete one important task this week, what would that be? @Micaroo4 I'm so sorry I didn't see this question either, thank you for reposting it! I want to stay on track with my diet, I've done real well for about 10 days now and I'm really proud of myself especially when it comes to being in restaurants for meetings. I think there's a bond when people eat together but if I can't get something on my diet I need to start passing like I have at the Let It Snow meeting at Mountain Mikes and at the cafe we were at for the garden club. After the pain clinic weigh in where I thought I'd be down and I was up and my blood sugar being higher in the mornings it was time to get my act together.

@trooworld I love your photos! I'm glad you were able to go to this session it's right up your alley.

@19shmoo69 Interesting I hadn't noticed that but haven't been logging my weight. You'd think it'd still be there in some form maybe they just need to figure it out from when it was connected to logging losses on our feed? I noticed yesterday on LoseIt that you need premium to import recipes guess I've been spoiled by that here! We need to make our own stinkin app with feed AND groups AND weight tracking!

@askewcr We're still friends from before so I sent you a private message on here with all the information, if you can get your email to me I'll send you the questions. Thank you! I love learning more about everyone!

@baodell17724 Oh no be careful with all those containers. You must've been on the internet in the early days <noticing your sigh>

@JessicaKrall8 way to go on Week 5 individual % and lb winner!

Yay Mission Slimpossibles in 2nd place for the week! @19shmoo60 @bethanie0825 @lisalisa123 great job week winners!

Go Mission Slimpossibles 2nd and 3rd place for Oct! @baodell17724 @bethanie0825 @askewcr Way to go team winners for the month!

Hi friends, not much to report I had a mellow day inside as it's real windy outside and mostly read, I did get my workout in. Have a great Monday!

    @trooworld- love the pix!

@askewcr - glad the new program is helping you- wishing you all the best on your surgery- fast healing, little pain so you'll be ready to Go Get It soon!

This week, I need to start cleaning out my garage. I always say I'll work on it during the cooler months, but then I don't and it's stinking hot again. Going to make a real push on it now through Thanksgiving. After that, I'll be busy with the holidays.

Hi, I'm Lisa, I live in FL, married, 2 adult kids, 1 lives here, 1 doesn't. Little crazy dog named Gus. I've struggled with weight since young adulthood, and it seems to be harder to get the scale to budge at my "mature" age. I lift weights, walk and do step aerobics for exercise. I've been in this group for quite awhile now and enjoy the support it provides.

@trooworld Love the pics of the Marigolds and Mums, and the skeletons are a hoot. :)

@Cornanda, I also have my garage on my fall cleaning list and need to get it done before it gets too cold. Garage cleaning is a task that requires perfect weather conditions. :D

Good morning! Unfortunately, Joe and I drove up to the mountains on Saturday, but he got so dizzy that we couldn’t walk around the craft fair, so we turned around and drove back home. Then, yesterday morning, I tested him for a UTI, and yup, that was his issue. So, no church and a quick trip to Urgent Care for more antibiotics. Today, I will work out and get started on my fall cleaning list. Have a great day! :)

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If you can complete one important task this week, what would that be?
Yesterday, I made a fall cleaning list, and my goal this week is to tackle as much of it as possible. I want to put my Christmas up but vowed that I won’t until my list is checked off. :)

Hello everyone! My name is Jennifer and I’m a single 50 year old. I have an American Blue rabbit (her name is Kismet). I have 3 children in their 20s and they have all blessed me…I went from zero to 4 grandchildren in the past 18 months and #5 is due in February! Son Marcus and DIL Ashley have Sophie (18 mo) and are due February 15th (girl). Daughter Sydney has Oliver (9 mo). Daughter Hunter and SIL Michael have Byron (17 mo) and Brayden (5 mo).

I love to rubber stamp (I’m a Stampin’ Up demo) and make cards. I'm an active member of my church, and also love horror movies. I have worked in Community Development at my County for almost 20 years.

I have always been a yo-yo dieter, but mainly up. When I lose weight, I can never seem to keep it off for longer than a year. I have 58 pounds to lose (goal is 150). I revisited WW for the last 2 months, but I feel like it’s just gotten too complicated. So for November I am going to stick to calorie counting on here and try to focus on as much non-processed foods as possible. A friend took a picture of me on Saturday and it’s the most unflattering, depressing picture I’ve ever seen of me. I put my thumb over my face and it straight up looks like my mother’s body. It’s difficult as I’m a Negative Nancy, but I am trying to stay focused and positive. I have been sick and now I’m at the tail end where it’s the cough and stuffy nose. We’ll see if I can accomplish anything at the gym this evening.

@Cornanda this is what have. No where does it say I can log. The arrow in the right corner leads to a premium options. It’s all good. I only used it to make sure I looked the correct weight on Sundays.

I'm sorry about the power lines.

I've been teaching myself C2C, so far I have only got the basic stitch down. I still have to learn how to carry, change colors and read the pattern (it's a little different the regular crochet.) I also have to learn how to read a graph. I'm going to make this heart dishcloth for practice before I tackle the blanket I want to make for my SIL.

@19shmoo69 - it looks like your progress is set on steps, not weight. Tap where it says steps and a menu will appear so you can change it.

@drewsanna- Lovely pix, I want to go to there! What is C2C?
