    Late Weigh In!

    PW: 254.4
    CW: 255.6

I knew I wouldnt hang on to the big drop from last week, so actually kind of happy with this.

    @lauren_989 sorry about your grandma!!

Can I also be excused for next week? I leave for Mexico for tomorrow and wont be back until Saturday (and the scale will be decidedly unfriendly then but I am so excited for this trip!)

I just finished my final workout of my 6 week challenge. It was TOUGH but so glad I stayed 99% on scheduled, and I felt like I modified movements less and less as the weeks went on.

I have to think about November goals that make sense for me after my vacation is over. Happy saturday team!

We've had some nice green as the week went on!! 🎉

Discussion question: Do you have a goal weight you would like to be? Or is it more just a focus on habits and see where the weight goes? ( @StayFITTer )

I have a general number where I would like to be (150), but I have not been that weight since maybe middle school, so not sure what I would look like.

I have heard several talks where they discuss focusing on habits and making smart goals with them and weight loss is just a byproduct. I was doing this for a while and need to get back on track! Not only have I been stressed and binge eating, I haven't tracked anything!

I will say that today was better, not perfect. I went to the gym and only slightly ate over my calorie goal...I think. Let me go track now...

Yes - 168. I made it to below this in 2022 and it was the best feeling ever

Being back to where I'm at now is uncomfortable in so many ways

My goal for this week is to not buy snacks from the vending company during the week. Also, trying to get 6000 steps daily. I need to commit to a goal on being active. I have been terrible about it lately. Good luck to everyone this week on letting their goals!

This is definitely a journey that has it's ups and downs. I still have a ways to go but all I can do is put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. Today was a rough one, I went out to dinner with friends to an Italian restaurant. I'm a sucker for a good lasagna. Although, I did split it with a friend (it probably could have fed 4 people actually).

Moving forward, my plan is to get up tomorrow morning and head to the gym. What's done is done. I need to be focused the rest of this week. My goal - get to my HIIT class 3 days this week and drink no less that 40 ounces of water a day (I'm working my way up to a gallon). I wanted to commit to it in writing.

Okay so the weekend wasn't horrible, but it could have been better. I did get all of my exercise in everyday. My knee is hurting so much if I attempt to do a squat, so those are out, I'm doing knee to elbow instead. I don't understand I am doing all of my pt stuff, and it pretty much doesn't hurt any other time except if I attempt to do a squat. so weird.

    Have a great day!

@strong_fit_ells - You are stronger than you know, happy to have you with our team.

@lauren_989 - Hope you can bounce out of your small setback. Sorry to hear of your husbands grandma , hope everything works out with a quick recovery.

@wishfuljune you are so inspiring on the way I need to look at my relationship with food. love your plan and attitude towards all this.

    CW 168.4

I realize I need to come on this forum more often. At times it feels like I"m the only one who struggles with my relationship with food and mindset but this community helps me feel like I can share with all of you.

Do you have a goal weight you would like to be? Or is it more just a focus on habits and see where the weight goes?
This is a great question. I'd like to say I would like to be in the 150's but mid 160's seems to be my set point with my lifestyle right now. Tracking food is something I've thought about in helping me get to the 150's. I have been trying to focus on habits but my weight doesn't seem to have changed much. Lots to think about this week.

@Heathere244 does the vending machine only take cash? Can you not bring it with you to work?

@leni1us that sounds like a great plan for getting back on track. One day doesn't de-rail us, it's the following days that matter.

@Gidgitgoescrzy don't do squats if they hurt! Have you done a wall sit before? Do those bother you?

I have still been struggling this week. I had a perfect day yesterday, then my weight still went up today (I know, I know, 1 perfect day doesn't fix the others), and then I binged on cookies in the break room 🙈 Back to hopefully another perfect day tomorrow.

Hubby is doing better. He still can't put any weight on his left leg, and is still suffering from being a man who had surgery. His grandma is having surgery tomorrow, so his mom hasn't been coming. So that means I am waking him up before work to make him breakfast, come home on lunch to make him lunch, and then come home from work and cook dinner. I should have hired a maid and cook if I knew his mom wouldn't be able to come over!

I am conflicted on this, I am perfectly happy where I am now. I think I look great, even though according to my BMI I am still overweight, I would like to get to 135 just to prove to myself that I can do it, but my body seems perfectly happy here in the low 140s, and I know it would take some hard work to get to 135, so as much as I would like to see that number, I just don't know if I really care that much.

I do however want to tone, and improve my strength, so I am super wishy washy. I know how to get to the lower weight, but it would mean giving up exercise, because for some reason, I can not do both at the same time, my body is like nope one or the other, and I think since the holidays and vacation is coming up, I think it's better to concentrate on exercise, but at the same time, I am going to do my best to try to lose some weight, it's just not going to be my priority. I am still working on my year end goal, who knows, I could do it.

The great part is since I've been doing pilates on a regular basis, I've had two people ask me if I've lost more weight, so I atleast know thats working.

@lauren_989 Haven't tried wall sits, but that is a fabulous idea to try, thank you. You cracked me up with "and is still suffering from being a man who had surgery. " My husband had surgery last month, so I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm sorry you don't have the help you need.

    Have a great day !

Greetings from the Toronto airport. We had a really nice visit with Brad's family but it's always so hard to say goodbye.

Anxiously awaiting to hear how @Kali225 is enjoying her all inclusive.

This is the first time I have been able to login this week, and this made me laugh so much because it paints a picture of my husband. I haven't had to take care of him post surgery yet, but post minor injury, yes. This is him.

I had a non-scale victory this week. I haven't had any alcohol since Saturday. And, even though a beer or glass of wine sounded amazing with dinner last night, I actively said no to it because I feel better without it. Tonight will be the big test for me because I have bowling and it's on a team that likes to drink.

My scale victory is that after weighing in at 184.4 last Thursday, I hit a max over the weekend of 185.6 (drinking weight). Yesterday I was back down to 184.0. Today I was 183.0. The biggest changes are that I am not drinking alcohol, I am drinking more water, and I am actively not snacking after dinner. No real exercise yet this week, but hopefully CrossFit tomorrow night.

I would love to get to the 140s, but like @Gidgitgoescrzy, I have a feeling that once I get there I would actually like to hit the 130s again. I was this weight 10 years ago and I felt and looked amazing.

This has been such a busy month - next month won't be any better. This is way I have a hard time enjoying Christmas - I really am a humbug person. I always try and put on a happy face but I'm exhausted by the time this season is over...

I will try and check in more - I miss just reading the posts this week - feel like I'm always trying to catch up on things!

@fourathomej - you're not alone. Christmas is actually one of my least favorite holidays because of all the expectations and hoopla. In fact, I'm exhausted now and the season is just barely starting. I hope you can power through and have a good holiday season! I'll try to do the same.

@MaddawgMadsen great scale and non scale victory this week!!

@fourathomej you must get super busy at Hallmark this time of year! I used to not like Christmas much, but hubby loves it and that has rubbed off on me!

@strong_fit_ells I hope you feel better soon!

I have been feeling less stressed the past few days and more like myself which is good. Still going going going all day. Hopefully things will settle soon.

Wooohooo, although let's be honest, it has a 75% chance of bouncing right back up next week.

I had a good night last night, I did pilates, and I was able to do the roll ups unassisted and nice and smooth, so I was happy about that. I am trying to be more present during my practice and holding the core, concentrating on the muscles she tells me to and breathing properly, instead of just going thru the motions, so I really feel like it is working.

    Have a great day !

    Morning team!

@lauren_989 both hubby and I will be weighing in late this week
Just getting back from being away and off the plane
    Will weigh in Saturday

Watched most of You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment on the plane
Not done yet, but it has me thinking a lot

    Anyone seen it?

I was really hoping that it would go down from yesterday's weigh-in, but alas it did not. Likely because I ended up having a couple of beers at bowling last night. I'm not getting down on myself about it, but I will make sure that it is only a one night at bowling thing.

I have seen it. It's really interesting. Not enough to make me go vegan, but enough to help me question everything I put in my body.
