Today's Topic: Holiday Foods - To skip or not to skip
Do you continue to eat any Holiday food offered, or do you skip over some of them?
For example, I love stuffing. I make no apologies for that fact. When it comes time for Thanksgiving or Christmas meals, I fully embrace the stuffing (plus, I often am the one who makes it). But, I am less inclined toward candied yams, which I like, also. But, they are less meaningful to me for the Holiday dinners.
How about you?

For Thanksgiving we'll be at our oldest son's and I totally skip his wife's stuffing.
I won't skip the pumpkin pie.0 -
I’m trying to migrate towards spending my points on things that are both seasonal and special. While I don’t usually have mashed potatoes, for example, there’s nothing special about them - so I’ll pass. Fresh baked rolls? Yup, I’ll have those.0

I like holiday foods on their intended holiday. For Thanksgiving, I'll have everything offered, and some turkey sandwiches in the days afterwards. For Jews, Hanukkah means fried foods (commemorating the oil that burned in the Temple for 8 days), so I'll have sufganiyot (jelly or otherwise filled donuts) and latkes. With that said, I don't generally have holiday foods outside of the appropriate holiday period.1
