    Good morning!

Hope you had a nice Halloween passing out candy with your cute doggie @KateNkognito!

We had a quiet night with nobody showing. We didn't buy candy, since we know that nobody comes by. But still would be nice to see cute kiddos in their costumes. Sigh...

It is kind of cloudy and overcast at the moment and I think this is the only type of moisture that we have had in a while or will have going forward for the next week or so. Poor grass is yellow in some spots!

BF has a cousin in town visiting at his parent's house. So we will head down there tomorrow after we both get haircuts in the morning. His mom is planning to make a paella for the family. Yummy.

Not too much else going on. Work is quiet and fine by me because I am not in the mood for anything too crazy!

I started a new book by Freida McFadden called "The Boyfriend" and it is fun!! I love her books.

Hope you have a nice weekend! See you soon.

Holy Long Day, Batman! What I thought was going to be a chill slide into the weekend turned out to be a super busy, long, exhausting day. I just sat down and I could fall asleep right now.
@Meghan509 Sounds like a wonderful day and great plans for the weekend! I has been so dry here, but we are finally getting some rain. Hopefully it makes it to you! Have a great weekend and enjoy your new book!

    Good morning!

Ugh, I don't like it when Fridays are busy like that @KateNkognito! Hope you got some rest over the weekend!

We had a nice visit on Saturday with BF's cousin's son. He is only 30 and was really excited about visiting NYC and the museums and all that fun stuff. BF's Mom made a yummy meal and all in all it was a good weekend.

Today I am remote and will be in the office my usual days this week. I like Monday and Friday at home and it feels "off" if I change my days! :)

Got all the grocery shopping done and the laundry done and almost all put away so it should be a low key day today. Nothing to meal prep either. All of that is done and in the fridge or the freezer. All I need to do is make a fruit salad for the week. Easy!

Hope you have a good day. See you soon!

So far, today has been really chill. Reviewing a report for my boss, then scanning things into the database this afternoon. The weather is still cloudy and rainy. I love it! This weekend was a very nice, low-key weekend. Nothing to do and nowhere to go. I got a lot of laundry done and the grocery shopping and meal planning all done for the week. :)
@Meghan509 Sounds like a lovely, and productive, weekend! I am glad you are back to your normal schedule. At the end of this month I can start working remotely if I want to, but my husband also works from home and is rather loud. I love everything about him except his volume! LOL
Gotta go finish this up so I can have lunch and keep going. Have a lovely week!

    Good morning!

Sounds like the perfect weekend to me, @KateNkognito! Our weekend coming up is looking low key. No plans at the moment or places to go. Fine by me!

That is cool that you can work from home going forward, as needed. I feel just the sleeping in is awesome and the no traffic, even if just two days a week. Each Friday I try and get my grocery shopping done for the following week, so I can avoid the after work and weekend rush. It works. :)

About to hop on a big global call at 11:00am ET. I will see you soon! Have a good day!

I started to post two different times yesterday on two different devices and I never got it done! It was a busy, unproductive day. :/ I hope today is better. Traffic sure wasn't.

@meghan509, we have Monday off, so I am going to use this weekend to clean my house thoroughly and then Monday I have an eye appointment, chiropractor wellness visit, and a vet appointment for the old doggie. I am looking forward to the super clean house. :)

Off to get started for the day! Have a lovely day!

    Happy Wednesday!

Ugh, I know what you mean @KateNkognito! That has happened to me before as well!

Today is actually a very quiet day in the office for me! I am kind of caught up (who knew) and don't have much on my plate. I also have one of the women who keeps me very busy, out of the office at the moment. When she is out or traveling I feel it! In this case in a positive way. She really needs to be out more often! :D LOL

Traffic was busy but moving today. One of those days where there was an accident earlier that messed everything up. Bah!

Last night driving home in the dark, was not fun. I will be happy when it stays lighter later.

I am going to enjoy the quiet and am looking forward to the weekend already!

Have a good one! See you soon.

    Good morning!

Still a little before noon here, so still morning! LOL

Quiet day here at the office. Kind of enjoying it. Going with the flow. Still looking forward to the weekend, even though we have zero plans.

I have jeans on and sneakers today so I am thinking I might sneak out for a bit to take a short walk around the parking lot this afternoon. :) Trying to get some steps in, since I know I spend a lot of time sedentary.

Hope your week is going well. See you soon. Almost time for lunch here! WOO HOO!

Today has been a weird day. Chaotically productive, if that makes sense.

I am .9 pounds away from 20 pounds lost in the last year and a half, 10 of those since July! I am being super on target this week to get there.

@Meghan509 I hope you had a nice walk! There are a lot of people in my office who go on walks twice a day around the block. I hope you have a nice, peaceful weekend!

I am off to finish this last bit so I can, hopefully, have a quiet Friday. Have a great day!

    Good morning!

    Happy Friday.

I know what you mean @KateNkognito and I have had those days myself!

Congrats on the losses! That is great! I am down .2 today which is not that big of a deal, BUT it brings me in to a new set of lower numbers which is nice. I will take it.

I am down 14.6 lbs since starting over in July. The odd but pleasant thing I have noticed is a loss each week, even if small. Like they say slow and steady wins the race! There was one week I didn't weigh and that was the week I was on vacation. I wore jeans yesterday and two weeks in a row my jeans are fitting more comfortably around the waist and tummy area. I have not measured, but I do feel I have definitely lost some inches.

I did have a nice little walk around the parking garage. I know a garage sounds creepy, but ours is pretty high up off the ground with lots of sunshine and light. There is a nice view of the highway (my nemesis).
 I tend walk around the top floors and never in the basement. That is a little creepy down there. LOL The good thing though is that there are security cameras everywhere.

Working from home today and have a shingles vaccine booster at 11:00am. Also planning to get the grocery shopping done during lunch. Which pretty much frees up the entire weekend! What shall we do? Haven't figured that out yet.

I hope you have a good Friday and a nice day off on Monday! I am jealous. I wish our office closed on Veteran's Day sigh... At least I will be home vs in the office!

Have a good day and a nice weekend. See you soon!

Congratulations on your loss, @Meghan509! And that is nice that you have a place to walk at work. The jeans fitting is great, too. I am currently in a pair that I couldn't zip a few weeks ago, but fits now. :)

I need to start walking again. I need to get a light, since sunset is earlier now. I can put a headlight on the stroller and the back light on my behind. LOL

Looking forward to cleaning my house this weekend. Sounds strange. It isn't bad or anything, but just a bunch of little things that I am finally going to have time to do and then get to the big stuff, like windows, too.

    Have a great weekend!

    Good morning! Happy Monday!

Thanks @KateNkognito I hope you have a nice day off today! A shout out to our Veterans! My Dad was one. <3

Weekend was mostly relaxing and good! We took a ride over to Wal-Mart on Saturday with a list of food items needed for a local food pantry. Our office is gathering up items to contribute. I love doing these types of things! We spent around $50 and I am feeling good about it. They didn't ask for anything Thanksgiving related, mostly just pantry staples. Figured Wal-Mart gives the best bang for the buck and it didn't disappoint!

Saturday for dinner we decided to make a meatloaf and I made mashed potatoes and green beans with it. So yummy!

Yesterday afternoon we watched the movie on Apple TV called "Wolfs" with George Clooney and Brad Pitt. SO FUN!!!

Hope you had a nice relaxing weekend. We sure did. I like to clean and organize too sometimes. It is good for the mind.

We have not been walking as much lately. To be honest, BF seems less motivated lately to walk and / or lose weight. I think it is because of slow losses or in his case a gain and a loss and over and over. Bah. But he is tracking via "the other app" which is good. I feel like he was most happy when we were on keto. I can't do keto and I won't do it because it is too limiting. What I would do or can do is eat less carbs. Just have to figure out how to incorporate that. Eating rice with a lot of the things I make is a big carb hit. Sigh.

Today is quiet. Not a holiday for us but feels like one. I am kind of between projects, so it has been quiet. I am not minding it. :)

Hope you have a great day! See you soon.

    Good morning!

Happy Tuesday. Hope you had a nice day off @KateNkognito! It was definitely quiet yesterday. Lots of people off and no school buses going by my window!

Had a three month follow up appointment with my primary care doctor yesterday. Just grateful that we found him. He has great bedside manner and I am also grateful that my BF is seeing him and taking better care of his health!

Made a nice vegetarian dish last night for dinner. Split red lentils, zucchini, onion, panko bread crumbs, and mozzarella cheese. Makes a cute little quiche type of dish. Paired it with a green veggie and it was lovely.

Pretty much it from here. Hope you have a good day! See you soon.

Had a great day yesterday. Got the house in good shape for everyone coming for the holidays. Did the windows, too. Went to all my appointments yesterday. However, I did discover that I am too old and out of shape to be going up and down a ladder to do windows. Note to self: start working out so I won't be this sore next year. LOL

Today is being a Monday of a Tuesday. They are working on the roof directly above my office. Fun times.

@Meghan509, that sounds like a great weekend. Our local library has a Blessings Box out front and I hit Walmart when I drive by and see that it is looking a little empty. Definitely a good bang for your buck. Your dinner last night sounds yummy. I don't think I am going to end up cooking at all this week. We have things going on almost every night. I also haven't been walking as much lately. I need to get a light so I can walk in the dark/dusk.

Have a great week! Stay healthy!

Got a light last night so I can go for a walk. I also got my new glasses ordered. Yesterday and today they are working on the roof directly above my office. I have earbuds that drown out most of it. At least it is Wednesday and we are halfway through the week! I am going to the chiropractor again to get the last knots out of my back. Definitely too out of shape! Have a great day!

    Good morning!

Looks like I just missed you here @KateNkognito LOL!

Too funny about the window cleaning and ladders. Not my cup of tea either! Good idea with the ear buds for the noise! I hope they help! Ugh. Construction that should be done after hours, so it doesn't interfere with people working!

Reminds me of when I lived in a more down town area in an apartment with an ex BF. The shopping center right across the street from our complex decided that they needed to build a gym with a swimming pool during the night time hours, so it wouldn't interfere with the businesses that were underneath it during the day. REALLY!? So none of us are allowed to sleep because you must run a jack hammer at night!? WTF. Now that I know noise ordinances better, I would complain ASAP if something happened like that again. Sigh.

Last night the traffic was crazy and there was an accident on the southbound side of the highway. A car had rolled over, there were injuries and they CLOSED the highway for a few exits, right by where I get off. Even though I am using the northbound side of the highway, it took me almost an hour to get home and that is only ten miles distance. :( I am planning to start leaving the office fifteen minutes early at night going forward. It is just so crazy out there with people driving too fast, darkness due to returning to standard time, and rush hour. So stressful.

Quiet here and enjoying it. Hope you have a good day. :)

    Good morning!

Happy Thursday! T-minus two weeks until Thanksgiving! Are we ready?! Because once it is Thanksgiving, then it feels like it is Christmas! LOL

We are planning to have a quiet Turkey Day at home since BF's parents will be visiting his brother in AZ. But, if we do get invited to a friend's house we would probably accept. So we shall see! LOL For Christmas we may invite BF's parents over to our house. We'll see how it pans out.

Not much else going on here. Last night I left work approximately ten to fifteen minutes earlier and it made ALL the difference. I flew home. Going to keep doing this from now on. I have driving in the dark. :(

Hope you have a nice Friday Eve! See you soon.

I haven't gotten anything done today and it is already 9 AM! At least it is Friday Eve!

@Meghan509 I hope your drive continues to be smooth! We are going to have people staying with us for Thanksgiving, but the main event will be at my husband's brother's house (used to be his parents' house). It will be a fun time! Looking forward to it! I also think I might end up being festive this year. The holiday spirit seems to be sneaking up on me. LOL

I am off to actually accomplish something today! Have a good one!

Never did manage to get much done yesterday. But today is Friday!

This morning I was thinking that I hadn't packed my lunch and that I would either run and get something or have the same as yesterday from my desk drawer. I went to leave and grab my lunch bag and it wasn't on the counter. I realized that I had packed myself lunch last night and didn't remember it! AND it was Taco Bell! THEN when I got in my car to go to work I asked the navigation to, "Please navigate to work on this lovely Friday morning." She replied, "Hmm, I can't find 'work on this lovely Friday morning'. Where else can I direct you to?" Made me LOL!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

    Hello!

    Happy Friday!

Your Turkey Day plans sound great @KateNkognito ! I know what you mean about feeling a little festive this year. I am feeling the same! Last year's Christmas day pretty much stunk, but I was still reeling from the loss of my Dad and being home for the holidays instead of down in Florida with family. We thought about going to FL this year but decided not to. Just too pricey and dealing with flying at Christmas time can oh so fun. :| I also want my BF to be able to spend Christmas with his parents. They are getting older and his Dad will turn 90 in March! Life is so short, as we know.

Taco Bell, yummy. Enjoy your lunch! Turkey wrap for me today, like usual. I think I might sprout feathers some day by all the poultry we eat.

LOL at the GPS! I love it.

The good thing about working remotely on Fridays is no traffic to deal with. Weee!

Stayed the same on the scale this week but okay for now. Better than a gain.

Hope you have a great weekend! We are low key again. Going to get our shopping done at BJ's and Aldi so we don't have to deal with the Thanksgiving shoppers next weekend. Hopefully that works!

    See you soon.

Today has been a MONDAY of a Monday, so far! Let's just say that it started with finding out that my dryer is broken first thing out of bed this morning and it has been all downhill from there. It will get better? Right? BUT I have new computer glasses that make my screens very clear.

@Meghan509 I hope you had a nice weekend and are enjoying your work at home day!

This week will be busy, but, hopefully, it will be less chaotic than it started. In like a lion, out like a lamb? LOL Have a great one!

    Good morning!

    Happy Monday!

Another relaxing weekend in the books here.

We went to BJ's and Aldi on Saturday and picked up a bunch of "big" groceries like milk and stuff. We like to do that every few weeks. I also like the turkey the best at BJ's. They have Dietz & Watson and they always have electronic coupons for a $1.00 or $1.50 off. Much cheaper than the grocery store and better quality.

We got our official invite to our friend's house for Thanksgiving and we accepted. That will be fun and it means I don't have to cook. Not that I mind that much because the food for Thanksgiving is one of my favorites! They said they will let us know what we can bring. I am happy to contribute in any way because they have a lot of expenses with a kid in college and another in private school.

Looks like you just posted too just now, because I got a notification! LOL I will post this so I can comment. :)

    Hello!

Oh no, sorry about the dryer @katenkognito! That is no fun. We had ours crap out a year or two ago and thankfully the landlord had it back up and running quickly. UGH! Hope that gets taken care of ASAP!

The new computer glasses sound nice! Good for you. I have been wearing my (distance) glasses more now at night due to the time difference and it being darker earlier. Not my favorite time of year but here we are!

Yes, working remotely today and it is not so bad busy wise. Hoping for a low key week! Next week I am taking Wednesday, November 27 off and then we are closed for both Thanksgiving and the day after. Looking forward to a nice little break!

Have a good day and see you soon!

@Meghan509 I am taking the same day off next week and we will also be closed on Thursday and Friday. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. I shop at the Kroger store here because they have online coupons that make things cheaper than Walmart and the produce and meat departments are so much better.

I looked at our dryer. I don't think it is going to be able to be repaired. I found a nice one at Lowe's so that when my husband admits that he can't fix it, I am prepared. LOL

Off to do all the things I didn't get done yesterday and all the things that I have to do today. Have a lovely week!

    Good morning!

Traffic was kind today and that makes my morning a little easier!

Ooh I have heard good things about Kroger, @katenkognito! We don't have them around here in the Northeast. We are locked down with Stop and Shop, Shop Rite, Big Y and the typical Costco and BJ's stores. Aldi is on the newer side but we love it there.

I laughed out loud with what you said about your husband and fixing the dryer. LMAO! Love it.

Hope you have a productive day! Looking like one here.

    See you soon!

So, I said I would share my new exercise app. It is called TriadXP. You can build your own workout or use one of theirs. I was actually looking for something exactly like this. I wanted a way to put together a voice-guided version of a couple of little workout routines I have used/found. I was really excited that they already have XBX as a freebie! I also will build a routine that I found on the other weight loss site that looks good. I have done XBX in the past and it really works well for me. So, now I have done it for a few days and I can definitely feel it. AND I can just shut my office door, workout for about 10 minutes, and be done and not all sweaty and gross.

So far, so good today! I exercised again. I am going to need a yoga mat or something if I am going to be doing this in my office. The carpet is very scratchy and the floor is concrete. There is an "exercise" room in our office, but it scares me a little. Maybe I can make it nice and take it over.

The roofers are still at it, but not nearly as loudly as yesterday. I have my earbuds in and it is making me super productive.

I hope you are having a good week! The weather is supposed to get COLD this weekend. I am going to make soup or stew and clean house for the people coming and then read a book and snuggle in.

    Happy Wednesday!

Oh boy, this day flew! Yesterday afternoon was crazy and up until now it is been pretty steady busy.

Thank you so much for the app, @KateNkognito! Downloading as I type this! LOL Sounds exactly like what I think will help me and would work for me.

    Glad the noise is less!

Supposed to rain tonight, tomorrow and a little more on Friday and we are super happy because we are in a HUGE drought and there are wild fires burning north and west of me. :( Fingers crossed that the rain helps.

Stay warm! Going to head home now and hopefully avoid some traffic. See you soon!

I am super non-productive today. I guess that balances out the last two very productive days. I have the attention span of a squirrel on meth. I also feel super gross. I am taking all the supplements so that I get over whatever it is fast. We have older people coming to visit for Thanksgiving and I don't want to potentially infect anyone.

I hope today is going well! And that y'all get lots of rain. We were record setting dry until about a month ago and then the flood gates opened. It even set a couple of daily rainfall records.

Guess I better get back to whatever it is that I am in the middle of muddling through. Have a great end of the week!

@Meghan509, I hope your week is finishing well!

I am on a roll at work, I exercised again, and I am over 21 hours for my fast. I am rockin' this Friday! Have a great weekend!
