The NFL weekend kicks off Thursday with Washington at the Eagles and ends with Houston at Dallas on MNF. There are plenty of college and NFL games in between. What do you expect from your favorite team(s) or player(s)? What about those teams you love to hate? This thread is here for all your football talk.

@Philtex - how goes your quest to find a second team to root for?

Well, just when I was ready to pick Washington, they losst two games in a row, incuding to the Eagles. The Vikings were a candidate, but having lived there I hold too many grudges against them. I'm going to go with the Bills and hope Amari Cooper gets healthy and can contribute.

I like it - just don't go overboard with the Bills Mafia nuttiness!

I've been in MN for 15 years now. At the time we were relocating, I thought I'd be able to warm up to the Vikings as my NFC favorite (to be paired with my congenital disorder of being a Browns fan). It's never quite happened ... one reason is that I had a co-worker who was a Vikings fan and he was always quick to *kitten* on the Browns, so I found myself enjoying their losses more than their wins. Lol. I do like this current iteration of the Vikes with Sam Darnold enjoying a quasi-resurgence. I'll give them some more attention the rest of the way. FFS, the Browns situation could not be more depressing!

Like @Brian_19 I'm pleased with Sam Darnold's good year so far. Proof that no quarterback should have to start their career with the Jets.

And I’m philosophically a fan of the Browns, but I don’t think they gave Baker Mayfield a fair shake when he played poorly while playing injured. (And I miss his ads from the stadium.)

I picked a good week to jump on the Bills' bandwagon.

The Pats lost - and I don’t mind.

Expectations for this season were to see Drake Maye progress, and have the team playing decent football by season’ end - regardless of record. Maye is playing smart football, which is probably the best thing about him. The team isn’t getting penalized like they were in the first half of the season. Yes, Staffird carved up the secondary, but not all teams have two elite receivers.

There is hope in New England.

Chiefs/Bills and Bengals/Chargers were two of most entertaining games I've seen in a long while.

At least the Cowboys hung in there for the first half. I knew it was over when they took points off the board by accepting the penalty instead of keeping the made field goal. All downhill from there.
