Happy Monday, I had a good weekend, didn't eat too much bad stuff at all. Did a 4.5 mile walk with my oldest son and his pupper yesterday, that was nice, although he walks much faster than when it's me and hubby, so it took work to keep up with him. lol
Did hiit on Saturday, and pilates yesterday, so I've kept up with my downdog challenge. I kinda gave up on the Darebee program, there were just too many squats, and I can't do squats, or lunges. So it became frustrating trying to figure out what to do instead.
Have a great day !

@strong_fit_ells - one thing to know about willpower is that it will come and go. Being human means we can't live on 24/7 willpower. You have so much going on, and so much that is stressful! You shouldn't get down on yourself, especially for the things outside of your control. Maybe instead you can focus on one little thing that you can control. That could be having a few more ounces of water today than you did yesterday. Or, making sure you have a piece of fruit or a vegetable at one meal today. Or, saying no to one thing that will sabotage your ultimate health or happiness. Or, having one fewer glass of wine today. It doesn't have to be anything major. It could even be realizing that you are human, you are going through rough time, and it is okay to not feel 100% and not be perfect. You've got support in this group. We are here for you!
@Kali225 - I don't snore (much). You could always take me with you whenever you go somewhere as gorgeous as the picture you shared! I'm glad you had a wonderful time and were able to stick with some healthy habits even on vacation. Also, thank you for sharing the recipe. That looks delicious!
@wishfuljune - That sounds like a lot of meetings. It's good that you have fewer this week. I hope you get caught up on emails and all of your other work.
@cleaneater80 - I agree with the gifts that serve a purpose other than collecting dust or driving consumerism. I am the type that tends to get gifts for people as I find them. If it is April and I see something that reminds me of someone, I get it for them. I will try to hold onto it until Christmas, but sometimes I just don't. Outside of that, I like to plan adventures or activities as gifts.
@lauren_989, I am glad your husband is on the mend. Hopefully he will be weight bearing and back to doing everything for himself soon!
My husband is out of town for a training this week, so I decided to work half days and use PTO for the other half. I have never been this excited to clean and do chores!2 -
Discussion question: Do you have a goal weight you would like to be? Or is it more just a focus on habits and see where the weight goes?
I’m focused on habits—but I have the goal of 157 because it was a goal weight for a summer weight loss change that eluded me. It’s not over until it’s over

Discussion Question: Does anyone else have delicious recipes for vegetables?
I am pretty bland when it comes to veggies, just eating them raw or baked. I do like to add a little parmesan cheese to broccoli though!
Hubby's appointment went well today. He is down to 1 cruch and can put weight on his leg again! Hopefully he will be off this crutch next week. He can walk short distances and slowly work his way up (quarter mile).
So while that's awesome news, I on the other hand am hoping it's still allergies. My throat is now more scratchy than painful, but now I have a cough and stuffy nose. Typical way a cold goes for me. Covid test was negative yesterday, may take another tomorrow just to be safe.2 -

Work continues to be hectic, but I got plenty of my usual meal prep done yesterday (mostly some variations of chicken breast, ground turkey and ground chicken). I have a long meeting tomorrow, but hoping to squeeze in some sort of movement. Trying the FitBod app to see if that will give me some workout oomph (I need variety!) Hope everyone has a good week3 -
@MaddawgMadsen you're hired as a vacation buddy! I've got the travel bug now for sure.... I floated the idea of Croatia next summer with my sister, and she said Croatia has a ton of waterfalls, including the most beautiful/visited in Europe?! Sounds amazing.
I slacked on dinner tonight, went with the last bit of leftovers instead of doing my chicken recipe as planned - but that can happen tomorrow. I got an easy lower body, body weight workout in - 15 min, felt good for my hamstrings especially. And I am back into my daily PT habits, which did slack a bit on vacay.

I hope everyone is having a good week! I ended up leaving work early, which I hate doing and took a 2.5 hour nap after sleeping 10 hours last night. Idk what bug I picked up, but it's draining me!! 🤧😴0

Discussion Question: Does anyone else have delicious recipes for vegetables?
Nope on a rope. Just olive oil, salt, pepper and play around with spices. (Penzey’s “Revolution” and “Chicago” seasonings are nice) Bake in air fryer/toaster oven for about 10 mins—cover with foil and maybe take off towards end so it can be a little crispy1 -
