@Cornanda Thank you! There's something real nice about hearing kids playing, I'm glad they're shaking the neighborhood up for ya. That will be real fun come Halloween next year too! I'm in a gated community that's mostly older and we keep the gate shut so no trick or treaters anymore which I miss.

@TeresaW2024 Thank you I agree, I'm sure the practitioner I work with would lend me some but I'm borrowing a wire from her so I didn't want to ask for anything else. I don't think things will improve we said the board needed to vote on if we should be doing anything with the delinquent status and it saying we would be personally fined if we gave or received any money and the president sent out a vote about the Christmas project instead which of course everyone wants to do so unless they look under and see what Shirley and I brought up at the board meeting they'll ignore it. It's kind of a lonely island standing up for principles these days! I told my co-partner the only thing her heart is matched with is her integrity and I'm very impressed and glad we're friends. Being in more pain because I'm upset and sad isn't worth it right now. I agree how lucky your pastor is to have you! I hope Joe is feeling better how scary! Good luck with your evil plan to put your sis in charge!

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: I am shopping for Christmas, have about 1/5 done right now. I prefer shopping in person but can't find a lot of what I want anymore. I DO do the stocking stuffer stuff in person though but may do less this year as I'm going to have a lot of white elephant gifts.I wish I could find something for my nephews locally, I'm planning on a grounding mat for my brother and SIL so that will definitely be online. That means I only think coffee will be the gift I'll buy in person.

@baodell17724 I had to laugh at how you talked about it feeling great then the aftermath, I think a lot of us go through that thanks to calorie counting, A third of a package isn't that bad depending on the size! I think you'll do great on Thanksgiving!

@trooworld Woohoo on the sleep score that's great you're headed in the right direction! I think once you get used to it you'll be less likely to wake up and get better sleep. There was a funny talk with the Bible study group going on a retreat, I don't have the money and sleep awful away from home so I mostly used the latter excuse and they were saying half the group wears sleep masks then others (like me) snore loud so all these issues come up. I'd rather be in my own bed with my cats any day. Exciting busy day have fun!

@askewcr Sounds like a wonderful trip with the hubby! Wow we have a lot of praying to do in December for all our surgery people but way to go to get it done before the new year.

@morenin I hope the meds settle down soon and both your mental and physical health are doing better. Once you adjust and feel stable you can add in the health part it's hard doing it all at once and not feeling like yourself right now. You're rockin the shopping!

Hi team! I had the phone interview with the marketing team for their article, we talked for quite awhile as she was interested in how things have evolved at the greenhouse and was blown away when I sent her the photos of the 750 plants we helped with for the garden club. I'm going to go through and send her photos as the next article will feature on the greenhouse. Working on getting the house clean for the prospective roommate visiting tomorrow and need to find an online application for her. Have a great Sunday gang!

@askewcr I'm glad you had a good time in the mountains. And...you basically maintained after that little trip, so well done! On to knee surgery, I hope it goes well.

@morenin I hope you are able to find the right med for your bipolar, I am bipolar as well and it took me a while to find the right med but since I have been on it, my life has changed dramatically. I am finally stable and have no issues with the bipolar.

@Katmary71 Yes, me too! I woke up with condensation in my tubing last night which was no fun, so I need to adjust the settings so that doesn't happen. It's because we sleep with the AC on and the room is so cold. Oh gosh, if you went to that bible study retreat, you'd have to all sleep in the same room? That would be awful! I don't blame you for not wanting to go, regardless of the reason. I'm glad the interview went well. Good luck with the roommate.

Hi all. I was able to only get one day of Comic-Con: Sunday tickets, but it's better than nothing. After that, my husband and I went for coffee and read a bit. The French restaurant was really good: I had French onion soup and Beef Bourguignon. I regretted getting the Bourguignon because I can, and have, made excellent Bourguignon at home. I should have gotten the scallops! After dinner, we walked next door to what was rated as the #1 ice cream shop in the nation by USA Today, An's Dry Cleaning. It's actually gelato. It's called that because it's in the shop that used to hold a dry cleaning business so they just kept the name and made it a theme lol. They have really unusual flavors (olive oil and rosemary? It was delicious!) and they give you a sample of everything before you order (I ordered "Leather" and "Apron", fantastic!). Speaking of gifts, my very thoughtful sister-in-law gave us a 6-month subscription to Atlas Coffee Club. Today, I am drinking a coffee from Rwanda and it's delicious! So, if anyone needs a gift for a coffee lover, check out Atlas Coffee Club. The bag of coffee came with a postcard to send to someone about the coffee as well as a card talking about Rwandan coffee and its history. Our @19shmoo69 would love it, being the coffee drinker he is!

@askewcr I love going up to the Smokies! I hope all goes well with your knee surgery. :)

@Katmary71, I agree that it is difficult to advocate for what is right and maintain integrity in how things are run. But it’s the right thing to do, so good for you and your co-partner, sticking your ground and not budging. I hope everything goes well with the roommate interview. :)

@trooworld You should always get the scallops!! <3 What a fun gelato place! What did Leather and Apron taste like? A coffee subscription is a great gift idea! Thanks for the link, I will check it out. :)

Well, change of plans today. Joe is sick, and I’m not sure what is wrong. We had a rough moment at 3:30 am that required a lot of effort to get him back into bed. :# He is sleeping now, and if he wakes up incoherent, then I will call an ambulance. It might be that his sodium level has dropped too low. I will keep you posted! Also, my sister has to go to work and can’t help with the decorating. We feel bad, but the pastor will figure it out. :/

ICE BREAKER QUESTION (multi-part): If you shop for Christmas, have you started yet? Do you shop in-person, or online? If you shop in person, do you shop in the local (downtown) shops?
I used to love going out shopping at the stores, but not anymore. I am all about ordering from Amazon and Etsy! I have started shopping for my two best girlfriends and still need to order something for my pastor. Last year, the adults in my family didn’t buy for each other but just for the kids. We are doing that this year, too, but instead of purchasing random stuff for the kids, my mom and I gave my niece a big check to buy what she knows her kids want and will play with. Joe doesn’t like that he can’t buy me presents and we talk about that often. I told him I was fine and taking full advantage of Black Friday deals. :)

@trooworld Oh no you definitely don't need that in the tubing and molding or anything! I don't think we'd all sleep in the same room but I'd been thinking there would be pairs. Thank you! Congrats on Sunday tickets yay! Could you possibly win them in a radio giveaway or something? Oh my gosh that gelato sound amazing! What an awesome gift I'd love a coffee gift like that myself all the coffees sound delicious.

@TeresaW2024 Thank you. Oh no I hope Joe's feeling better soon. Electrolyte issues are no joke you don't realize how important it is to have them balanced until you're feeling horrible. I love Etsy I was on there yesterday looking at ornaments. LOL that made me laugh you can tell Joe he bought you all kinds of good stuff and great prices!

WHAT WAS YOUR WIN FOR THE PAST WEEK? WHAT ARE YOU ACTIVELY WORKING AT IMPROVING THIS COMING WEEK? HOW ARE YOU FEELING? PHYSICAL ISSUES? MOTIVATED? HOW ARE YOU FEELING MENTALLY? STRONG, AVERAGE, STRESSED, DEPRESSED? My win is sticking to my guns even though as Teresa said it's been real hard especially when the Board is choosing to ignore it and proceed. I'm working on improving relaxing but getting stuff done too as I'll be less likely to stress with the holidays if I get gifts done now. I'm worn out, stress and the cold are making my pain real bad but mentally I am feeling better with the weight of that off of me. I will miss the friends that I know I'll lose in this like the president's mom and all the amazing events and people we helped. I'm tired and want to go to bed, LOL too much stuff in one day.

Hi team! Big day I DID end up resigning from the charity when the Board vote was to proceed while we're delinquent with events and ignore the rules. The possible roommate came and I like her a lot, she brought her current roommate and we talked for 2 hours they're real nice people. She's working for him and she moved in with him and his wife after the wife had a stroke and fell and needed help. They're in insurance and she does bookkeeping. I was going to have her fill out an application just so I could call referrals but she brought the best one along with her. The woman I'm working with when I said the other day that I was nervous to have a roommate grabbed my hands and prayed that a wonderful person was going to come into my life which made me realize I needed to stop thinking worst case scenario. They came right after I resigned when I was thinking of all the things and people I'd no longer be involved with. Having said that I need to eat dinner and send her the rental agreement! Have a great Monday!

I've never been able to lose weight, but I'm going to try again tomorrow (Monday)

    here is my plan

    - 30 min exercise
    - drink at least 32oz of water
    - protein shake
    - no food after 10pm
    - estimate calorie intake, aim for under 2300
    - check in here at the end of the day

Hi, I'm popping in to give you an update on Wegovy. It's literally nauseating, I've barely been able to eat, and other things. So, I joined a FB group for Wegovy users to see what others are experiencing. I found out that I'm not the only feeling the side effects that I've been feeling and I found lots of tips on how to help, starting with protein shakes when I'm having trouble eating and drinking a lot of water. They say to hang in there, eventually the side effects goes away. I was going to quit taking it. I am going to change my injection from Wednesday to Friday until after the New year, because the side effects are worse the first couple of day after using it. They last about 2 or 3 days and then they calm down. Lol... it definitely helps you to stay full.

I saw that I made it to the leader board. Who would've thought that I would. Lol... it feels good to know I must be alright. Y'all have a great rest of your evening and day.

Congrats goes to @lislisa123 @bethanie0825 and @DrewsAnna for making it onto the leaderboard! Way to go!

@TeresaW2024 Right? LOL The leather was brown butter & chocolate chip cookies and the apron was pecan & brown butter. Very good! Yes, I look forward to trying new coffees. I had never had one from Rwanda before. I'm sorry about Joe. I hope he wakes up okay. Bummer about your sister having to work. Yes, he will figure it out. I love Amazon and Etsy! Especially Etsy. That was a good idea to give your niece a check so she can get what they will definitely want. I never know what to get people, especially kids. Girl, take advantage of those deals lol.

    @morenin Congrats on the loss!

@micaroo4 What's your win for the past week?
Honestly, I haven't had many wins, I've been so consumed with getting mentally ready for surgery. I guess my wins would be: starting to use my CPAP machine and getting the house clean.

What are you actively working at improving this coming week?
    Spending and water intake.

How are you feeling? Physical issues? Motivated? How are you feeling, mentally? Strong, average, stressed, depressed?
    I'm okay, just nervous.

@Katmary71 Yeah I cleaned everything out really well yesterday with mild dish soap (Dawn). I ordered some baby shampoo as that is commonly recommended. I see, I still wouldn't want to share a room with someone lol. No, I couldn't win them only because 1) I have the worst luck. The only thing I've ever won in my life is a clock radio lol. 2) I don't even listen to the radio, I have SiriusXM and refuse to listen to the radio due to the commercials and annoying DJs lol. But one day is good enough, I guess. The gelato was good. You should definitely gift yourself a coffee subscription, they are on sale right now! :) I'm sorry you had to resign but I don't blame you. I'm glad the roommate is going to work out.

@bobboyardee Great job making a plan. You got this!

@DrewsAnna I'm sorry about the side effects, that would be hard to deal with but that's good to know they go away.

Hi all. I met my old boss at a museum yesterday for an exhibit on the art and science of indigo. It was very interesting to see how indigo dye was found everywhere in the world. There were beautiful textiles of all types. After that, we met my husband at a coffee shop and had a nice conversation. The weekend went by so quickly. I have to make a chocolate tart for my coworker's work anniversary tonight. I would have liked to make it yesterday but I couldn't find my tart pan and had to order another one. It's an involved recipe and I'm going to hate myself for agreeing to make it tonight lol.

@Katmary71 I showed Joe my Amazon cart last night so he can see that I’m not suffering. Of course, he doesn’t understand why I have clothes for him in my carts. He says he is fine. I say he is ratty! :D Yayyy I am so happy that the roommate seems like a good fit for you! Bringing her boss/current roommate was a nice touch. You must be feeling so relieved to have a new roommate, and I pray you will become great friends, too. :) Yeah, that sucks that you had to resign from the charity. You will find another avenue for your gifts. Just stay open to new opportunities, get some rest, and enjoy the holidays. <3

@DrewsAnna, I hope the side effects end soon for you. Those drugs always have so many side effects. Congrats on making the leaderboard! :)

@trooworld That exhibit on indigo sounds fascinating. I love learning how things got started in the world. Gir, you and your complicated recipes! I would be at Publix or some other bakery buying a tart. But I’m sure yours will taste divine! :)

Good morning! Joe started out very rocky yesterday morning but improved in the afternoon, and we slept well. Our pastor called and told Joe that he had the whole church pray for him during the service yesterday. He loved that! They also got the Christmas decorations up and had more than enough people to help. :) Today’s plan is to do a Walmart order, work out, and do some church work. Have a great day!

What's your win for the past week?
I did OK with eating last week and got in a little exercise.
What are you actively working at improving this coming week? I really want to get back to lifting weights and plan to make that happen.
How are you feeling? Physical issues? Motivated? How are you feeling, mentally? Strong, average, stressed, depressed?
I feel OK but annoyed at myself for the lack of progress with my weight loss. And it’s so hard with the holidays with all the food and stress. I’m working on a plan for the New Year! :)

Way to go @Lisalisa123, @bethanie0825 @DrewsAnna our top winners this week!

@bobboyardee Woot woot talk about rockin this Monday! Heck yeah feel optimistic now you have a streak started! What kind of meditation do you do? Guided or something else?

@TeresaW2024 Thank you! Hm I wonder if it would help Joe try new clothes if they were fun shirts in some way like via pictures or sayings. I got a little icing on the cake about the charity see below. Your pastor is wonderful with Joe I'm so glad he takes the time to show him how much he's loved. From reading your answers I was looking at the percentage in the green and it seems the closer we're getting to Thanksgiving the more it's going down. Oh on the shirts I've been looking at fun Thanksgiving shirts like, “Turkey Gravy Beans and Rolls, Lemme see that Casserole”! Funny I showed it to my neighbor as I'd been thinking of how my mom's friend makes a great corn casserole and then she sang it and I realized it goes to the Tootsie Roll song! There's fun dancing turkeys and all kinds of shirts but of course this close to Thanksgiving they're delivered in Dec unless you pay more. Hate how they do that with holidays now.

@lisalisa123 You've been doing amazing way to go!

@DrewsAnna Oh no I'm so sorry to hear how bad you're feeling! I'm so glad you found tips to help it talking to others who have been there is always the best place for advice. Hang in there hopefully it will calm down soon thanks to the tips.

@trooworld I can add another win for you I love how you knew you mentally needed some time and didn't rush into surgery, that time to process it all will help a lot at getting you prepared. How funny after visiting the coffee website I've been getting ads everywhere and there's a lot of great deals on their coffee and tea! A chocolate tart sounds delicious I don't think I've ever made one.

Hi team! I got notice I won the $600 grant I submitted for Valentine's For Seniors for the charity today, the woman from the Rotary texted the president and I. I thanked her for all her help and said I was no longer with them but that I knew the money will bring a lot of smiles this Valentine's and I'm sure the president will make the proper arrangements. So tempting to be catty but honestly I am real proud it came through. I went to the greenhouse and had the most ridiculous thing happen when I left (I was nervous about getting locked in again like last time), I'll post a pic. Pain's been bad from being upset but I'm getting through it. I went and hung out with my neighbor for awhile and had a drink, it was just what I needed. nzec9bh1tpat.jpg

@TeresaW2024 It was really fascinating. Yeah well, I didn't make that tart lol. If it were the weekend, I would have lol (see below). I'm sorry about the rocky start to your morning but I'm glad Joe improved. And yay for the decorations getting put up!

@bobboyardee Way to go, bobboyardee!!! Go go go!!!

@Katmary71 Thank you, Kat! LOL sorry about the ads! I've never made a chocolate tart and that includes last night lol. See below. WOW congrats on winning the grant!!! That grant-writing class must have helped! I'm sorry about the pain. Are those pheasants? Turkeys? LOL

Hi all. I got home at about 5:30 last night and looked at the chocolate tart recipe. It was going to take 5 HOURS to make (including resting times etc)! I ditched that idea and made a quick chocolate chip cookie dough that I will bake this morning. Speaking of, I'd better go get them ready.

My mindset: I'm going to stay the same. That's always the goal on maintenance. My plan is not to eat anything that isn't a favorite. Not wasting calories on so-so food. Just a small taste of the very rich foods like stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes. Fill the plate with veggies like squash, brussels sprouts, green beans, turnip, and peas. Save room for pie and ice cream. Of course, the whole plan might be a bust, because the weather might prohibit us from traveling to my brother's house. If we are home, it's going to be chicken with parmesan & panko crumbs, butternut squash, peas, and potatoes or sweet potatoes. And pie! Since I'm the one bringing the pie, if we don't go to John's, we'll have 2 full pies all to ourselves. Which would mean I'd be sharing pie with the neighbors.

@Katmary71 That is a good idea for Joe. I do think it’s time for a couple of new Georgia Bulldog shirts. Before dementia, he wouldn’t be caught dead in a novelty T-shirt, so I wouldn’t do that to him now out of respect. Although, I do love that one about the casserole! :D And yes, I am very thankful for our new pastor and all the time and love he shows Joe. Congrats on winning the grant! It’s a shame that you won’t be there to see it going to good use. That pic is crazy! Are those turkeys? :D

@trooworld It was a good idea not to spend 5 hours making that tart. The cookies will be just as big of a hit. :)

Good morning! There is not much going on today other than running to the office to do payroll and then to the bank with the deposit. I will do a rebounder workout, too. I want to get back to lifting weights, but those workouts are longer, and I’ve been worried about leaving Joe alone when I’m in my exercise room, so yesterday I bought a baby monitor. It has an app so I can even leave the house when he is napping and keep an eye on him. We both think this will help keep me from being so nervous, and he said it will help keep him in one place because he knows I’ll be watching him. Got that right, buddy! :D

What is your mindset going into the holidays? Are you going to gain, lose, or stay the same? The plan is to stay where I am and not gain more weight but still indulge in the yummy things the season offers. Like eggnog!! :D

Woohoo! My Trike came last Wednesday. OMG it goes so fast and has lots of features. I've been riding it every day, each day a little further as I grow comfortable with it. Today I started using the turn signals, yesterday the mirrors. I rode 5 miles today; it was really good ride.
    dyr5qa0fs08i.jpg

I am still enjoying my ApplePears as a snack, with breakfast biscuits, I tried a new flavor of biscuits Cranberry / Orange, I love it! There are 2 other flavors I have not tried yet. Pumpkin Spice is good, but it is a limited-edition flavor.

We are having plumbing issues, and the repair tech is coming in the morning. It's the strangest thing. We have water coming out of 2 toilets and the water is turned off to both of them. This is the second time it flooded. It's a lot of water, gallons and gallons. But the 3rd toilet is working just fine. We had our septic tank emptied last week and that was not the problem.

Our generator is leaking oil and the first company I went with are being flakes so yesterday I got a new company, but they can't come out until December 9th, so we are just adding oil as needed.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Enjoy the day ♥
