@pupowl Very nice loss this week! WTG! Also, glad you're feeling better...loved your new puzzle collection...funny thing...I hate snow with a passion, but love snow scenes in books, puzzles...so I guess you could say I desperately WANT to love it...but I don't...LOL!

Good morning Shape Shifters. Yesterday was a nasty weather day with a storm in the evening. The store nearby had puzzles going on sale for 6 euros each though, and there was one I wanted so I biked there in the rain. I was at the door at 8:01 when they just opened. Seems a bit overkill, but they never have duplicates of the puzzles so I had to be the first one there. Usually everything is gone the next day. They had around 10 different puzzles, but I only wanted the Charles Wysocki cat and thankfully they had it. When I got the new bookcase to store my puzzles in February, I had plenty of space left. With my recent purchases, the whole thing is now full! I didn't think I bought a lot this year, but it ended up being 21 if I counted correctly, oops. I think I need to stop buying for a while. Also Tinus isn't helping. He wants to be on my lap half of the day, so I can't puzzle a lot. I still have 35 new puzzles to make which is a little ridiculous.
Anyway, yesterday was also a treat day. I have had 31 perfect food days in a row and my all time favourite cookies they only stock around Christmas were finally available. So I placed an online order and got them delivered yesterday. Y'all will probably think I am crazy, I bet the delivery girl thought so too, but I got 16 packages of cookies. Last year I only got 4 and I was so sad when I ran out. So now I got enough cookies to last me 3 entire months! I am not concerned about only having two a day. I am feeling very in control of my food and I am confident I can stick to my food plan until the cookies run out.
I was extremely tempted to also order the stuff I need to make my favourite wraps. I probably changed the order about 10 times but in the end I decided it was not worth the risk. In the past a lot of times when I got off track for longer periods of time, it started with the wraps. The wraps would also mean two days of a lot of food, and now I am limiting it to one. I had some baked goods, a piece of chocolate cake and a frozen pizza for dinner. I didn't go as crazy as I would have in the past which is also good (don't get me wrong, it was still 3000+ calories ). I don't feel guilty or bad about it, but I also don't think it was worth it. I am happy to go back to my 'normal' food today and see the number on the scale drop again. I did my gym rings workout and cardio in the evening. Neck was still a little sore, but nothing major. Happy Thursday everyone6 -
@CasandraW Yeah, I was waiting for the cookies to drop for a few weeks, lol. I just bookmarked the product page and checked every day until it was available. Are you also going to buy 16 packages?4

Strong Seniors, moved up to 3lb hand weights, felt the difference but made it through the whole class with them 🙂.
@Pupowl & @CasandraW I’m not familiar with those cookies but I currently have a few boxes of Girl Scout cookies in my freezer from my February stock up purchase☺️

@p8m6bwghh9 I also stock up on Girl Scout cookies! Thin mints are my favorite. 🤤 I buy several boxes and keep them in the freezer and only eat 4 at a time.
@Pupowl you have a great selection of puzzles. I didn't buy 21 this year, maybe 10 or so, but I haven't bought any in about 15 years so that's quite a change all of a sudden. We don't have any TV at the new house so it gives us something to do in the evening when we are there. One more year and I'll be able to do them whenever I want. 😊3 -
@jessicakrall8 Thank you! You have been doing great as well. Hopefully we can keep it up through the holidays. I do understand about the snow. It is pretty to look at, but dealing with it isn't always fun. Snow outside just makes me feel all cozy and I love going for walks in it. (forgot to reply yesterday, sorry)
@p8m6bwghh9 Handy you can freeze them and save them for so long. We don't have something like girl scout cookies here. Probably better for my diet!
@DaffyGirl88 Puzzles are awesome! They also help a lot with weight loss because they make me forget to eat. I don't have a TV either, but you need pretty good lighting to be able to puzzle in the dark. I rarely do it.3 -
Good morning Shape Shifters. I had a lazy day. It was raining in the morning and later I didn't feel like walking. I was a little bit depressed, worked on the puzzle some, cuddled Tinus, read a lot. Around 15:30 when Tinus was on my lap, he had to throw up so he jumped off to do that. It seemed like it was a bit of a struggle and when he was done, he fell backwards and on his side. I freaked out because it looked like he didn't have control of his body for a little bit. Once he got up again, he seemed totally fine, but I called the vet anyway to discuss it. They had a free spot at 17:00 so we went to the vet just for my peace of mind. I didn't expect them to find anything, and she didn't. She looked him all over, checked his heart, lungs, eyes, ears, mouth, felt his stomach, took his temp and weight and there wasn't anything wrong. Just got to keep an eye on him, which I already do of course! I still had to eat dinner when we were back home, but I really wasn't hungry or in the mood to cook. Thankfully I still had a bag of pea soup so I ate that. Calories were a little low for the day, but that is okay after Wednesday. Happy Friday everyone

Would've preferred a loss (duh 😂) but was all over the map this week and for the morning after Thanksgiving dinner I'll take it. 😁
Will post my steps later, I'm a couple of days behind and need to look them up. Heading out to do some full body contact holiday shopping. 😂. Actually it's not like it used to be before COVID. Just another thing that never fully recovered. I miss it. 😞
Happy Friday y'all!3 -
@Pupowl I’ll honestly probably buy a couple packages I’m also going to be indulging in some lebkuchen. I miss the European cookies and sweets I grew up with. I can get some at a Dutch store in town sometimes. But come Christmas time they hit the shelves at our regular grocery stores for a much more reasonable price.4

I'll take it. I did pretty good with Thanksgiving yesterday. I had one plate, with controlled portions. My problem came when everyone went home, and we had a bunch of cookies left. I'm not sure how many I had, but I kinda lost control for a few minutes. So I'm happy with any loss
And we got sick. After we ate, one of my sons threw up. That started a night of endless throwing up from both boys. And I started today with being sick. So we're still working through that.6 -

What are these cookies?
That puzzle with the cat in the bookshelf is cute, but one wonders, how did the cat get in behind those books? 🤔😂3 -
@frankwbrown They are in the spoiler on my post from yesterday. Just nice chocolate Christmas cookies.1

No intentional exercise.
Yesterday I was able to eat everything I wanted in reasonably sized portions. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t overeat to the point of physical discomfort which would lead to a whole emotional beating up of myself on a holiday. I felt pleasantly sated and proud 🥹.
I also have had 2 days in a row with garmin sleep scores in the 80’s, had a 32 earlier in the month.
Happy Friday everyone2 -

@indoorsy_ Would love to see them! I think it's a 'problem' a lot of puzzle lovers have. I just can't help buying new ones even though I have plenty left. Sometimes they just come out with really nice puzzles, though I also have periods where I don't see anything I want. I would still like to come down to 10 on my to do pile instead of 30+ though! There are no trading groups here so it's not the cheapest hobby.2
