Welcome to our new members!

If you are new and want to join in, by all means, please do - we love to celebrate those losses with you! This is the standard format we try to use for these threads:

Name: (if you'd like to share)

My Numbers:
SW: Starting weight before you lost anything.
CW: Current weight at the beginning of the challenge.
GW: Goal weight for the month (what you would like to weigh at the end of the monthly challenge) Try to keep it realistic and SAFE!
LTGW: Lifetime goal weight ( What you would like to weigh at the end of your weight loss journey)

Weigh-ins: What days you will weigh-in; for example, Mondays
11/4/24 = (Fill out after each weigh-in.)
11/11/24
11/18/24
11/25/24 (final weigh in for the month)
Total WL/G for the month= total weight lost or gained for the month

It was also suggested that we could track our measurements at the beginning of each month to see how we do there, so feel free to add those too this month!

Today, Nov 1, marks one year since I started tracking calories and trying to eat healthier. Here are my results for the past year!

    Starting weight: 263.4 lbs
    Starting bmi: 40

    IMG-20241101-074850-01.jpg

    Current weight: 183.4 lbs
    Current bmi: 27.9

    Total weight lost: 80 lbs

The past few months have been hectic but I was able to maintain my weight and even lose a little at times so I'm actually super proud of that since historically I've struggled with regaining during stressful times.

I have 20 lbs to lose until I reach a healthy bmi but I would like to lose a total of 40 lbs to make my ultimate goal weight of being in the 140s. This next year I want to also focus hard on exercise, especially resistance training.

This month should be much less eventful until I'm traveling at the end of the month for Thanksgiving so I want to get more consistent with weighing and posting here every week!!

@mmatcha_latte I can't sing your praises high enough for the amazing work you've done in a year! I'm around your starting weight now and I'd be thrilled to do half as well as you! You really are an inspiration ^_^

I know that this was mostly water weight due to starting eating low carb, but I'm proud of how I've just taken it one day at a time, logged EVERYTHING, and stayed near my calorie goal for a whole week (also saved a ton of money I would have normally spent on fast food!).

Been taking it one day at a time. This week has been a little rough with PMS cravings but I've managed to hang on and stay consistent with logging, NOT eating fast food, and making healthier choices.

I was super sick last week so I didn't get a weigh-in done. I adjusted my monthly goal but if I don't make it that's ok!

Still one day at a time, and logging everything. This past weekend almost derailed me - went to visit family and there's so many snacks around there... I ended up tripping up on saturday - which is ok. BUT I was back at it on Sunday, and that's what is important. This is going to have to be a lifelong thing, so that's what I need to learn to do.

I weighed on Thursday morning this week because I gave myself permission to try everything on thanksgiving. That being said, I still did my best to log everything and I didn't gorge myself.... and I'm back on track today. While I'm proud of the 16+ lbs lost this month, this isn't my first rodeo and I know that next month won't be as much. What I'm most proud of is the 29 day logging streak I have going. That is the consistency I will need to make it through the marathon.
