Hi Weight No More team, I’m back!
Was considering taking my break til the New Year but also knew I needed to get back to a steadier routine and have some accountability for myself before I went off the rails for the Holidays lol
Also, @melaniedscott you can put me back on the stepping team too!

Weigh in day Friday
Previous weight 180.1 lbs
Current weight 178.9 lbs
After being stuck going up and down the same couple of pounds for a while I have been trying really hard to track all my food this week and keep to my calories and it has payed off. I am so happy it is going in the right direction. Now I need to stay consistent before Christmas
@melaniedscott I really enjoy seeing everybody's steps report, and sometimes when I have a little bit less than usual it encourages me to make a bigger effort the next week but I would still be stepping anyway. Maybe some new members will join the stepping team?
My steps for the week
Sunday 1st 3859
Monday 2nd 19625
Tuesday 3rd 12252
Wednesday 4th 19155
Thursday 5th 16295
Friday 6th 10690
Saturday 7th ............. (Storm Darragh is here with strong winds, rain and trees down in my area, all local and less local parkruns have been cancelled so there won't be as many steps staying indoors, I will try one of those dancing/ up your step count video)

Now that is a great idea! Nice problem solving, and thanks for the "oooo" moment!
@melaniedscott I'll joint the step challenge! I'll post it with my weigh-in.0 -
@Emilienewme I forgot to tell you! Since it's week 1 of my running training block, I had my first hard workout. I was nervous and avoided it on Wednesday. But, I eventually pulled myself up to tackle it on Thursday, and it felt good! It wasn't what I was dreading at all!
So, my motivational tip of the week is....
I take the pressure off myself. I tell myself I don't have to finish, I just have to start. Or, I don't have to be fast, I can jog, but I should get out there. Something that takes off performance expectations and encourages me to do something! Half done is better than not tried!1 -

I like doing the step challenge. I know I haven’t had a lot because of my back but I am going to try to change that1

Way to go walkers! That means we walked more than 1.2 million steps, which is approximately 572 miles. We walked 500 miles and then we kept walking! And that was ever with our team shrinking a bit at the end!
Way to walk Weight No More!
Funny note about statistics...the last week of October and the last week of November have the same Most Consistent and Most Steps in One Day! Well walked @purple1butterfly & @Emilienewme, well walked.
I want to add a kudos to @Retrojoesales--even without posting the last week's steps...in terms of grand total, they came in second to highest total steps for the month!
Like October, I decided to include monthly total by individual this time and added our walkers who stepped out mid month.
Our bolded members set a step goal for the week and met it!
🎊🎉🪅🎊🎉🪅🎊🎉🪅
Any walker with a * next to their post did not post steps for the entire month. The grand total is incomplete.
If you want to join the step challenge for December:Just post your steps by the end of Wendnesday after the week ends. I'm flexible and might wait a day or two for you. If we're 'friends', I may drop a personal note to you to check in. If we aren't, and you'd like a personal note, send me (melaniedscott) a friend request.
Part of the challenge or new and want to add or update a goal?If you want to... be bold (heehee), let us know how many steps you want to hit every day on average and we'll keep track of it for you!
For anyone confused about where we are ...This is post is for Nov 24-30. For those interested in joining the December step challenge (you can join any time!), the week of December 1 (12/1-12/7) steps should be posted by Wed, December 11th.
Awesome walking steps team!

3 weeks now I've changed my eating and been more active. I eat between 1300 and 1700 calories. Before i was eating probably 2000-2500 a day. Im doing walking videos and getting at least 10,000 steps every day. Before I was average 7-8k.
First week was great; I lost 3 pounds. But week 2 I gained .2 and this week I gained .8.
It just doesn't make sense. I've been trying to lose the 35/40 pounds I've gained in 3 years and I just can't seem to succeed. I'm not sure why.
It used to be so easy to lose weight. I'd cut out calories and I'd lose a pound a week no problem. I'm about to turn 36 and I'm the biggest I've ever been, even when I was pregnant the most I weighed was 212.
But I'll keep trying and won't give up2 -

@melaniedscott Saturday steps: 10828
@miscanon3617 that is a good tip and very true. I did the same on Wednesday, I was meant to do an easy run for 1h, but the streets were getting dark, I wasn't feeling it with the drizzly weather and my light wasn't charged enough, so I thought I would run until the light gave up even if it was too short. My light just about lasted the whole hour, so i finished the workout and felt better for it.
We had a storm Friday night into Saturday so all parkruns were cancelled. I did run another 5k this morning with another mum from my daughter's club. 3 / 4 runs done this week
So my tip for anyone now is check your equipment, it is a bit stressful to run in the dark with a fading light, even if street lights are on1 -

Will post my Sunday steps in the morning, not sure how my weigh in will go tomorrow. I think I might have a gain.

Happy Wednesday, folks! We are a third of the way into December, how are we feeling about the month? Personally, I am nervous for the end of the year - spending nearly two weeks off my routine sounds scary and while I am sure I will navigate it like a champ, the anxiety is very real.1

They just changed my hours at work. Supposedly it is just temporary, I think I should be able to get in a workout before work so that’s the only bonus about changing my hours. I hate it. I’m now trying to find something work from home but we will see. I need a change. I have been crying everyday coming to work because they have also changed my entire job. Everyone is hating the higher ups above me so they are quiting and it just affects everything and everyone. I’m tired of being spoken to like a two year old. The stress is killing me so maybe if I can get a work out in before work I will feel better and this weight will start to come off so I will feel better about that. My son gets married Labor Day so I need to get rid of some of those flab and look good at the wedding.2

@ljdanny - Yikes! That's a heavy burden to be carrying, it's ridiculous just how much a schedule change can impact our entire lives. Here's hoping the morning workout reduces stress for you as much as it does for me (I'm a woman in STEM and I know I'd be punching my condescending coworkers if not for my daily morning workout). Sending you all the best of luck in finding a better job!1

Will be going swimming tomorrow, my aim is to do more lengths than I have.1 -

Yeah, that's rough. No job is worth that kind of stress. Take care of yourself!minstrelofsarcasm wrote: »Happy Wednesday, folks! I'm never excited about December or the holidays. Looking forward to the longest night, or the end of it, more accurately. I've done a bit better with exercise the past couple weeks, so I am hoping to keep that trending.2 -
